I had lovely time pet sitting for Lou and Kitty in Austin. Kelsey was responsive in communicating with me both before and throughout my stay, ensuring I had all the information I needed. There were storms that came in while I was there and I made sure to give Kelsey an update about Lou and get him the support he needed with his medication. Kelsey was responsive and appreciated the communication. Her home has a cool Austin vibe, making it a comfortable and fun place to stay. The Lou and Kitty were an absolute delight — both were friendly and great to be around. I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitting experience. Highly recommend!
Bethany’s home and 5 cats were a joy. Her home is comfortable and easy to feel at home in. Her 3 more social cats, Holly, Rubeus and Toru were all super sweet and very entertaining. Toru loves to get in the Rumba’s way so it can pet him. lol. And Holly is a love bug, always wanting to be close by. Rubius is huge but quit affectionate. He had to be pilled every evening but after a little practice, we got into a workable routine for both of us. Lucia is quiet. She likes to be close by but doesn’t ask for pets. Willow is the loner. I actually only laid eyes on her once. Bethany’s neighborhood is beautiful and there are several trailheads close by if you’re a hiker. There is also a fantastic pizzeria within walking distance that serves really good New York style pizza! I can highly recommend this sit especially if you enjoy the country life!
We thoroughly enjoyed sitting Scottie and Beta fish. Ken and Susan are a warm, friendly couple and great to spend time with. The house is very comfy, we lacked for nothing. Ken and Susan made sure we knew where everything was and how it worked. Little Scottie was no trouble at all, a delight to be with. We feel very lucky to have been chosen for this sit.
We looked after Samantha's two cats and house over the New Year and had a lovely time. The house is very spacious, comfortable and warm, in a quiet residential area. It is well located for walking to beach, restaurants, train station and buses. It's an easy 30 min train journey to the centre of Barcelona. Aramis is extremely sociable and spent most of the time next to us, Porthos was more timid and spent most of the time under the bed! But both were very gentle and affectionate and easy to look after. We would definitely like to return and would highly recommend this pet sit.
We really enjoyed this housesit with Freddie in Highbury! The flat was super cosy and located in a really nice area, just a short stroll away from Clissold Park. Alice & Rory were really friendly and relaxed about everything, which we appreciated. Freddie is a gorgeous dog who loves his evening couch cuddles and morning bed cuddles. On walks, he was great with other dogs and generally brings the ball right back to you during fetch! Would recommend this sit 😊
I enjoyed getting to know Cooper - he is a gentle, fun dog and a shed-free dog! :) Kelleigh's home is very nice and in a quiet neighborhood.

Susan has helped our family by teaching us how to understand our dogs' needs and behaviors. She quickly identified some areas we, as pet owners, needed to improve and gave us the tools to reinforce the good behavior we wanted to see from the pups. I appreciate her eye for detail and way of breaking down lessons into digestible parts. Susan is truly fantastic, no other way to describe her. From personal experience A Pawsitive Experience with Susan is the only place I would trust to bring my dog for day care and for longer stays. One can leave his/her dog and know that their pup will be in good hands and have the time of their life. Additionally, she will keep you updated on how your pup is doing and is very transparent and honest!!!!! I left Leo with Susan for three months and not only has Leo gotten super responsive and calmer. Highly, HIGHLY recommend! Truly understands dogs, owners and the importance of training for building a loving relationship between the two.
My husband and I have a very energetic 14 month old Border Collie - Susan was recommended to us by friends, and I can say that he is a totally new dog after going through the PAWS program! He is so much calmer and he has learned so many new skills. He doesn't bolt out the door like he used to, now he knows to wait for us to give him permission. Susan taught us how to handle him better as well, which has turned us into better dog owners! If you’re looking for a great place for your canine family member I highly recommend Pawsitive. Susan has helped my Chocolate Girl Sophia learn how to overcome her anxiety issues. After only 3 weeks of daycare as well as a few nights of boarding, Sophie has become more confident and less anxious. She loves the other dogs.I feel good about the fact that Susan assesses all the dogs to be sure they are a good fit . When Sophie stayed for boarding she was in a home environment and became one of Susan’s family. I love that Sophie is so happy to go to daycare and that she’s tired from a day of play when she comes home. Pawsitive is not only Susan’s business but also her passion. She truly loves what she does and it shows.
When I got my golden retriever puppy he was a hot mess and I knew he needed to be trained. A co-worker recommended Susan and I'm so glad she did. Since completing her puppy course, my puppy has completely changed. Susan created a program that was specifically catered to him and what he needed. While providing consistency and structure she gave him love and praise. Since I live a bit far, I left my puppy boarded there. Throughout the entire process, she communicated about his progress, how he was doing and his overall growth. She reassured me he was having fun and enjoying his stay. Without Susan I would have been lost when it came to my new puppy. I HIGHLY recommend her and her services. She's very knowledgeable. My dog was always happy when he was under her care.
Susan is an angel in disguise! As a new dog owner and long time animal lover I knew very little about how to care for my 7 year old English Yellow Labrador who came to me after having 5 litters at a breeding kennel. Susan knew exactly what my girl needed!!! She offered her love, structure, consistency, and new friends. Honestly she offered her a 2nd home! Susan has also shared so much advice and help with the little challenges I never saw coming... I’m sure there will be more of these and it’s comforting to know that Susan will always take the time to help me figure these things out. Susan keeps the best interest of the dogs in her care in mind at all times. She individualizes her care based on what that particular dog needs. My dog is always happy upon her arrival to daycare. Susan has amazing hours and is a great communicator so if I have asked for some flexibility she has always been able to accommodate my dog. We fully trust Susan with our 8 month old great Dane, Margaret. We did the 4 week PAWS program and saw a big improvement in our puppy's obedience. Great Danes are known for being picky when it comes to training and the job Susan did was remarkable. I enrolled my 4 month old lab shepherd mix in the 4 week long PAWS program. Since my puppy was a rescue, he was initially very nervous around new people and other dogs. Susan did an excellent job of socializing him and helping him become the confident pup that he his today. In addition to this change of behavior, Susan was great to work with and showed me many helpful tips on how to handle unfamiliar situations that come along with being a first time dog owner. This program was extremely helpful and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a new puppy!
I have been entrusting my dogs to Susan at A Pawsitive Experience since 2007, so when I was finally ready for a puppy I knew there was nowhere else that I wanted to take him for training and daycare! I enrolled him in the PAWS program (5 days a week for 4 weeks), and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. Susan’s positive approach to training is amazing, and both Arlo and I learned a lot – she trains the person as well as the dog 😊. From day one he was exposed to dogs of all sizes, personalities, and ages, as well as cats. And he was subjected to “real life” experiences (doorbells, deliveries, people he didn’t know, etc.) which helped him learn how to cope with them. I still take him to daycare twice a week, and I know that he is safe and happy and well taken care of. I can’t say enough good things about Susan - I would highly recommend A Pawsitive Experience to anyone who needs training, daycare, or boarding!
