We took care of Shadow for 10 days. He is a friendly, independent little character who spends most of his time adventuring outside or sleeping in his favorite spot upstairs. In between these activities, he loves some attention in the form of a good scratching, as long as he is approached appropriately. :D He is truly one of the easiest cats to care for. The house is very cozy, comfortable, and sun-filled. It has everything you might need and a small, cozy garden. It’s located in a central area: on one side are cafes, grocery stores, etc., and on the other, a quiet and pretty residential area. We were working most of the time and loved wandering around the area for breaks. There is also some workout equipment, which is great! Communication with Michael was easy, efficient, and clear. It was a pleasure to housesit for you!
Trish was very welcoming, and her home was very much home from home. Lovely location and enjoyed looking after Bonnie Mimi and Cilla. Lovely dog walks within an easy accessible location. Really enjoyed my stay.
I can't express the depth of my gratitude to Wayne and Liz for providing me with the most generous and hospitable stay I had the pleasure of having. They live in such a beautiful part of the country, and of course there is now the running joke about all my exclamations of awe at seeing the local churches and chapels (as well as rose bushes...I have a weakness for flowers). I was invited out for dinner to the local pub before and after my sit with them, which was incredible generous and much appreciated! Their cat, Maggie, was just a delight! It took great pride and pleasure in knowing that she developed a fondness for my backpack! While she is no lap cat, she has such an inquisitive nature about her that she will happily follow you around the house (just out of arm's reach!), watching you with great interest. Thank you so much for such an incredible stay! I couldn't recommend this sit more for anyone interested!
We had such a beautiful sit for Jill in West Seattle!! Jill’s cottage is so warm and welcoming, her lovely, vibrant and artistic personality displayed in every niche and corner. The views and water were breathtaking, peaceful and just simply amazing! The cherry on top for this sit however were her incredibly sweet babies, Finn, Pacha and Pinto Bean!! They were by far some of the most enjoyable pets we’ve ever had the privilege to care for. We miss our daily walks with Finn and sweet morning kitty greets still (best pets EVER!!!). Jill was an incredible host who went out of her way to communicate on the care for her home and precious pets (her welcome guide covered everything) we were left with no questions and knew she was just a text or call away if we had any questions. We could go on and on but you will just have to discover what a gem of a sit this is for yourself. We can’t recommend Jill enough and would come back anytime to sit for this wonderful THS host. Thank you again Jill for such an incredible sit, you are the BEST!!
Our house sit at Greg and Ellie's farm was a wonderful experience. The animals are easy to care for and there is so much space to roam, sit by the river, collect fresh eggs and vegetables, or just relax. Sally the puppy is a delight to look after and we miss her already. Their farm is also close to many beautiful places to explore. Beaches, mountains, lovely country towns are only a short drive away.
Annie gave clear information and was such a generous host. We caught up q.few days before the sit so we could meet the boys and understand the house and responsibilities. Falcon and Ernie were excited to see us at first, their training and manners shone through and they were a delight for our family to look after over the weekend. We walked some of the local areas for their daily walks and the boys were always well behaved and had good recall even though we were new to them. The local Pub is a fantastic place to have lunch or stop off on the way back from a walk. Thank you for having us stay and play. We will miss Ernie and Falcon.
