I had a troubling experience with Victoria that I feel is necessary to share because I believe it’s important for others in this community to be aware of what happened.   Victoria informed me she was leaving day 6 into an 18 day stay with a little more than 12 hours notice while I was 600 miles away with no backup plan for our dog Jackson.    The first few days with Jackson went well. She communicated when I reached out along with pictures of them laying together on the couch and getting along very well.  On day 6 she texted me to say Jackson had growled at her while physically trying to get him up from laying on her.  She said she was frightened and asked if I had anyone else that could watch him.   I immediately called her to try to understand what happened and explained that he was most likely startled rather than wanting to attack her. As I was asking questions about the incident, as I felt I had a right to do, she became extremely defensive and yelled at me on the phone. Admittedly my voice was heightened due to panic but I did not yell. I was simply trying to understand the extreme change in her demeanor from previously texting me she doesn’t easily get flustered, stressed or live in fear to being so frightened she wanted to leave. Knowing my questions upset her I apologized however after ending our call she immediately texted and said she was leaving at 10am.   Despite repeatedly telling her that my son, who lives nearby, was out of town, and that I had no other options, she showed no consideration for my situation. Her decision to simply leave our dog stranded was incredibly distressing. I had to cancel my evening plans to find alternate arrangements for the remainder of our trip, which, happens to be my other son’s wedding.   While there are other details that aren’t directly related to her pet-sitting duties, I believe it’s important to highlight the lack of professionalism and consideration she showed. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision through my experience.

Meghan was fantastic! She took notes during our call before the sit and was extremely thorough. Porter can be difficult due to his hearing loss as his tendency to eat clothing. Meghan was very understanding and we felt so at ease leaving Porter with her. I would recommend them to anyone for a sit!

I absolutely loved my weekend in San Diego with Cowboy! Cowboy is the cutest and so easy to love and care for, he truly made my job easy. Patrick and Alison’s home is amazing with a beautiful patio looking over the bay, the perfect place to drink your morning coffee and hang out with Cowboy. Alison was great with all of her instructions and consistently available for questions, which was appreciated. Overall a great housesit!

We had an amazing weekend taking care of Frankie and Lexi. They were very well behaved all the time and were easy going!
Justine and Glenn were the best hosts, they made us feel like home. We are very grateful for everything. We would love to repeat this housesitting in another time.

What an amazing stay!

Portland, Emilie's home and family, neighborhood and especially Annecy (the dog) could not have been better. They put their full trust in us and we are grateful.

If you enjoy the walks (Annecy does), the neighborhoods are beautiful. And full of other friendly neighbors and dog owners. Spent many hours exploring.

Sitting Pepper & Claude in Tom & TJ's house was a dream. The house itself is ultra modern, state of the art, very spacious and located right in the heart of De Beauvoir with a nice outdoor space. Tom & TJ were very hospitable and friendly and even left us a very generous thank you gift to enjoy during our sit. We enjoyed messaging them throughout our stay and they were very quick to help when we had a question. Even still the stars of the show were Pepper and Claude - they are the cutest, friendliest little cats! Pepper was sitting next to me within minutes and Claude was friendly right away, letting us pet him, and became very snuggly within a few days. On our last day it was raining and we had a sofa day with them and they sat on my lap for hours licking each other, it was ridiculously cute. Claude needs an inhaler twice per day but he is surprisingly amenable to taking it - probably because he has been trained to know that breakfast or dinner follows right afterwards! An all around amazing sit. We would very gladly return again!

It was a wonderful sit with Yolo, she is such a wonderful, sweet and intelligent dog, I loved when she followed me around:-). It was a pleasant surprise when I knew she was resting but when I was away to go downstairs she would know and come sit with me! We played in the yard, cuddled on the sofa, went out for walks, it was fun!

Tracy is an awesome host, kind, and a very good communicator. A beautiful family with a beautiful house.

Though the sit was in the middle of my moving but I was able to keep my commitments and accomplish everything at ease.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I'll definitely do it again!
