Lauri was delightful to have and took lovely care of both Scribbins and my home. She was fastidious and left the place immaculate. Scribbins was very content when I returned home which always indicates to me that she was well cared for. I would look forward to having Lauri back at any time.

Stogursey is a charming village nestled in the Quantock Hills of Somerset, England, located just a short drive from Nether Stowey and Bridgwater. The village is close to the Bristol Channel, offering a picturesque setting.

The bijou cottage we stayed in is filled with books, artwork, sculptures, crystals, and an array of house plants. There is also a garden room on the property, where 2 men live, who come in to use the laundry facilities.

During our stay, we looked after two older cats and, to our surprise, two adorable eight-week-old kittens. The older cats enjoyed outdoor adventures but preferred using the indoor litter tray in the lounge. The kittens needed to be kept indoors, requiring all doors and windows to remain closed for their safety, which added a layer of attentiveness to our stay. The property, although rural, is on a busy rat-run towards Hinkley Point, which was a constant concern for the cat’s safety.

The cottage is equipped with several cooking options since the range oven is off during summer. We found the air fryer, induction hobs, and outdoor wood-fired oven to be excellent alternatives for preparing meals. Jackie bought a new mattress when we were offered an unsuitable camp-bed.

We found this home cluttered, and the surprise 4-cat pet-care overwhelming and stressful. We were both left very anxious after this assignment.
This pet-sitting assignment is ideal for someone who adores cats and is ready to embrace the joys and responsibilities that come with caring for a small feline-filled home.

If you love the close company of cats and the unique charm of a home filled to the brim, then this is the perfect place for you.

The neighbours were really kind and helpful and the Wifi was great.

I had a lovely stay with Lilly and Peggy. They were playful and lots of fun to be around. If they weren't showing off how long they could stand on two legs, they were cuddled right up to me, sleeping peacefully. Such a delightful sit!

Don’t go… please don’t take this housesit… we want to keep it all to ourselves!!! … absolutely loved Ken and Inge and their cat family… they are a lovely couple and quite inspirational in so many ways. The house and gardens are lovely and the location is fantastic. Surrounded by views of the Basque countryside and numerous small villages and towns nearby not to mention the coastal towns of Biarritz etc… and only a short hop skip and jump across the Spanish border. Their 3 cats Nutmeg Sooty and Pumpy quickly warmed to us (well we had the good after all!) and we really enjoyed their company (when they wanted it of course!). Would love to come back again if we can. Thank you both for making this housesit one of our most memorable. We just want to come back and do it all again.

It was a treat to take care of the animal crew here! Both dogs are good natured and sweet. ☺️♥️ The fireplace was great to relax next to, and the view from Kathy’s windows was majestic. What a view! 🏔️🌅 Kathy and Luis were extremely attentive and kind; they made me feel cared for and right at home. It was a pleasure to meet their family!

Both Janelle and graham were very responsive when we needed to get in touch while they were away. We highly recommend this beautiful residence and gorgeous dog to any couple
