Sonia
Amazing experience ! Sonia warmly welcomed me and was so friendly and communicative for the whole stay. The cats made me feel being in a Ghibli movie: following you everywhere, very curious, and with such distinctive personalities: Minerva is calm, yet love sharing « head hugs » or sitting near you while I was sketching on my iPad. Persephone is a real kiddo: playful, hungry, talking, and the most lovely: sleeping with you in bed. My favorite moment was when I was reading, and Persephone would come up and sleep on my knees. ? While Minerva stick around with her elegant lady vibe. It is important to note they are very active cats, and therefore needs a lot of attention and daily plays: it is a full time job ! But again, it is like living with lovely 2 personalities with daily cuteness. Thank you Sonia for your trust. ??

We enjoyed a lovely two weeks getting to know Alaska, Savannah, Tallulah & Melody ("the Chaps") and exploring the beautiful countryside around Bishop Auckland. The Chaps get along well with each other so they are manageable and fun to be with. Their favourite pastime is cuddling on the couch, but they also love a brisk trot and sniff down by the riverside followed by a well-earned treat.

Many thanks to Juliet and Neil for the considerate and organised handover. We had everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable. Their kitchen is especially well-equipped which was great for us because we enjoy cooking and baking.

Overall, we had a memorable time and we're happy to have made six new friends (humans and Chaps)!

Kate
Kate and Merle are great. Kate - the homeowner is kind and communicative. She explained her dogs needs well and gave me easy directions and resources. Her home is welcoming and warm with everything you would need. Merle - spaniel dog is a sweet heart. He just wants to cuddle and go on walks. When I was working on the computer or watching tv he was very calm and mellow. I would definitely recommend them both and would personally sit for them again, no question.

Kim
Staying at Kim’s over the long weekend felt like a vacation! I arrived before work on Thursday and Kim was able to show me around and go through everything with me in detail. I met all the pets and got to see their breakfast routine. There’s a nice home office set up in one of the bedrooms that I used. I had great WiFi the whole time and was able to take video calls for work with no problem.

June and Cassie were such sweeties! They eagerly went on long walks around the neighborhood and on nearby trails. Oscar is the younger, rambunctious cat and he loved to play and sit on my lap to cuddle. Bella, the older cat, preferred her alone time but would occasionally come cuddle in the bed at night. I had a fantastic time sitting for Kim and would love to come back!

Jane
We had a great time in St Gervais. Jane has a lovely chalet with everything you could need, including lots of TV channels!
Filou is a very affectionate dog who loves cuddles and snuggling on the sofa. He is exceptionally well behaved in the house, and we felt very comfortable leaving him if we went out for a bit. He is an energetic dog, so walks were quite fast paced. Running suited him very well and was great fun!
There is lots to do in the area. We enjoyed skiing in Les Contamines and trying some of the local restaurants. Thank you Jane and Filou for a great housesitting experience.

Julie
We loved looking after Julie and Len's home, garden and their adorable dog. Rusty is a sweet, quiet and cuddly dog. We enjoyed daily walks with him on beautiful walking paths or to the cafes, the local brewery and more.
Len and Julie were very welcoming, easy to communicate with and left clear and comprehensive information in their welcome guide. Their lovely home is well appointed and we were very comfortable in the guest area of their home.
Len is quite the gardener and we were able to enjoy fresh produce from the garden during our stay.
We definitely recommend this pet and house sit.
