What a wonderful sit! Debbie and Nate were so friendly and welcoming. Communication was excellent before and during the sit. Their home is beautiful, and was the perfect spot for my visit to the area. They are close to DC, Alexandria, Arlington. The neighborhood is very quiet, with lots of paths for walking or running. The real star of the show is Aussie, of course! She is SUCH a sweetheart. She is so excited to see you when you return after being out and about. She adores pets, belly rubs and giving kisses (but only if that's ok with you). She loves to go for walks - with lots of time to amble, meander and sniff, sniff and sniff some more. :) She just wants to hang out with you. I would definitely sit for Debbie and Nate again, should the opportunity arise. Highly recommend this sit!
Vicki's house is a lovely garden oasis type sit, walkable to downtown Mill Valley and neighboring trails. It's peaceful and quiet, and Mia is an absolute sweetheart!!! She is VERY shy and as Vicki mentions, she is afraid/timid of men. We enjoyed taking her out on walks and she seemed to forget we weren't "known entities" once out and about! :) She didn't want John to hold her leash and or be behind her (which I can totally understand - what gal wants a man following TOO close!). She did seem to "forget" he was with us after a block or so, and picked up that he was mapping the path we were taking - so she would follow him readily. She was fine with him petting her when we stopped and she would take the occasional treat from him. :) Mia is as described - sweet and shy - not aggressive (she didn't bark or cry while we were there). She just clearly isn't thrilled/ comfortable having "strangers" around. Vicki was communicative before and after the sit (as she didn't have any reception during) and very kind. Thanks again Vicki! Kisses and Hugs to Mia (from afar) :)
