We had the most magical time in Maine. Kerry, Chris and Lilia were very welcoming, kind and accommodating. We miss the pups and cats already, they are a dream to care for and each have their own funny quirks (Baxter's welcome with a shoe always brought a smile to our faces and Bella's sneezes were so cute). We really feel like we've made friends for life and can't recommend this sit enough. The area as well has many beautiful trails nearby and cute coffee shops to explore. We were so sad when we had to move on and we would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you again!
Mark, Heather, and Griffin made this an incredible house sit! We fell in love with Griffin right away, who was easy to care for and hang with - plus he gives top notch cuddles. Their place is stylish and well appointed in a great location and they went out of their way to make us feel right at home! They are friendly and accommodating hosts, we would highly recommend this sit and hope to see Griffin again!
Amazing sit! We have such a great time sitting this two beautiful kitties. Communication was clear and Kelsey and Ben help us a lot with tips for our US trip. Taiyo is a fun guy, well-trained and loved to purr with us at the couch and eventually jump in to that ultra-comfortable bed. Ame is a shy beauty as most siamese cats and remind us to our beloved Musky 🥲. The house is a gem full of light and space with a full-equipped kitchen where we also had a great time. Absolutely recommended!
We had a great sit with Huck at Emilie’s home! Huck was energetic, loving and listened well to instruction. The home was clean and cozy, in a beautiful neighborhood within walking access the bay and arboretum. Emilie gave perfect instructions on how to take care of Huck’s needs and how to find everything in the home so we could be comfortable.
What a perfect sit! This was a last minute sit, and worked out beautifully! Communication was very clear before the sit, and during the sit when I had any questions. Elaine is very hospitable, and I was very comfortable in her home. Because this was a relatively short sit, I stayed close to home. though I do know the area fairly well, I was happy just relaxing with the dogs and cats. Elaine's home is in a great location to go into Skibereen, to Lough Hyne, or Baltimore. The property is beautiful, with lovely views of the water, and a tranquil garden. A little paradise, really But, let's talk about the stars of the show! 4 dogs and two cats may sound like a lot of work, but they were all so easy!!!! They are quiet, well mannered, and truly enjoy just being around you. They nap, womble outside, and are just happy to "be". The feeding routine was easy to follow and everything I needed to know was laid out in video form in a link Elaine shared. The Welcome Guide that Elaine created was also very helpful and I referred back to it several times. I love when hosts take the time to provide that resource. Oscar, the setter was quite comical and took his one tablet a day as eagerly as if it were the finest steak! Jessie is the sweetest old girl, and just loved napping in the sun at my feet while I read. Robyn is a happy kid, and Rosie, though new to the pack, was content just doing what everyone else was doing. Robyn and Rosie were the most quiet JRT's I have ever met! Polite and well behaved. No shenanigans at all! Both kitties were friendly and social. They did their own cat things most of the day, but would come in for their meals and to get a few rubs. Neither was shy at all, and cats and dogs all coexistence peacefully. Actually, I think that is just the word to describe this group; they are peaceful. I would highly recommend taking care of this very sweet senior pack.
Harry and I had a great welcome by Libby, Tony and the whole Giat community to be honest which is a testament to Libby and Tony. Tony cooked a delicious meal and we enjoyed an evening of chatter, meeting new friends and Harry trying to get friendly with Poppy - he was missing a Ladder! We felt at home straight away. Harry loved the girls, Poppy and Martha, as did I. Such characters. We spent many an hour walking or playing fetch in the park, often with our newly-made forever friends! We loved Libby and Tony’s quirky, bijou home. It is easy to maintain as everything has its place - and the location? Wow! We absolutely lived this sit and can’t wait until we can go and sit again!

I highly recommend Heather's Happy Hounds. Heather has all the necessary qualifications, insurance and animal first aid. Heather met with us and our dog, Millie a couple of times as part of her assessment before agreeing to take Millie on. I liked how she introduced Millie to her own dog and met Millie at our home and gave Millie the time and space she needed to gain that initial trust. Heather’s communication is excellent, often providing us with updates and cute photos and videos of Millie during their walks. It’s comforting to know that while we’re away, Millie is in safe and loving hands. Her professionalism and genuine love for animals shine through in every interaction. Heather’s reliability and dedication are truly unmatched. She is always punctual and flexible, often going above and beyond to accommodate our schedule. Millie, our dog, absolutely adores Heather. It is a joy to see Millie get excited and run to the door when Heather arrives, which is a testament to their special bond. We’ve noticed a positive change in Millie’s behaviour and fitness since Heather started walking her. Heather is fantastic with Bella-B. Bella is quite nervous around new people or other dogs but Heather gets her and ensures she is safe and has a great time on all her walks. It is so wonderful to have someone you can trust and makes life a lot easier when I have to travel for work.
We had never used a dog walker or home boarded our cocker spaniel before we tried Heather but he absolutely loves his time with Heather. He wasn’t stressed at all when we picked him up after our holiday and he loves his weekly walk which tires him out, in a good way. We would happily recommend Heather.
I found heather through Facebook, after finding it difficult to find anyone accommodating. Heather charges a reasonable price, for a brilliant service - there was a trial stay over, and since then sadie has stayed with Heather while I have had to go away for work. She comes back exhausted (in a good way!) and meets other dogs, which is key. Like many dog owners I am conscious of my dog and her needs, and talking to Heather feels like talking to a friend. I couldn’t recommend her enough for her services, professionalism and attention to my dogs needs.

I was very nervous picking a dog walker for our 4 month old puppy but as soon as I met Heather and Meg at williamson Park with Teddy I was instantly put at ease. We had a lovely walk around the park. Teddy is absolutely loving his walks with Heather and the gang. She is really caring towards all the dogs she walks. I love the daily updates we get through pics and videos . THANK YOU xx
Heather has boarded our dog a couple of times and he's always had a great time. We started with a trial night, which was great for us, and we love the updates we get when we're away. Fully trust Heather with our precious pooch, thank you for your care and attention.
Heather is an absolute star. Our Cockapoo, Coco, loves Heather to bits and can't wait to get going on more walks.
Would NOT recommend! When I first met up with Heather, before she started walking our dog, I made it clear that she needed to watch him as he had a tendency to eat sticks and would also eat a ball if he had access to one. (We never use them). She only walked him a handful of times and within this time frame he had eaten two balls! The first one, luckily, made him sick and he vomited it up. Then a few walks later she stated that he had eaten HALF of another one! Three weeks later, he became very unwell and we had to take him to the emergency vets. We were told he needed surgery as he had a blockage that had caused pancreatitis, and a blocked bile duct that was making him severely unwell. After the surgery, the vet showed us what she had retrieved. It was HALF of the tennis ball that he had eaten under Heather’s care. The next week caused nothing but heartache as we were told that his intestines may not recover. Then, the bill that cost close to £4000! When we told Heather what happened and questioned her about her insurance, all we got in response was a “sad face emoji” and were told she would look into. We then waiting two days for a reply. None came. I then had to text again which I believe is disgraceful. She responded with a weak reply about too much time that had elapsed and when I asked to see the policy she completed blanked me. This is not the actions of a dog lover. No empathy for what had happened to our dog under her care. No apology. I am sure she has convinced herself that because three weeks had passed that she wasn’t to blame. She was. We never let our dog have balls. Fact. Disgusting behaviour and completely unprofessional. Stay well clear.
We call Aunty Nic the “Dog Whisperer” because she is so brilliant with our sighthound Walter. Aunty Nic has looked after him when we go away for years now and we wouldn’t send him anywhere else. He comes home happy, tired and looking like he’s spent time at a health farm. Her videos of the dog walks are great to watch when you’re away and it’s wonderful to see the dogs in the pack, running around and having fun. Walter must think his life at home with us is boring compared to the fun he has with Aunty Nic and her dogs. We like the fact that Walter stays in Aunty Nic’s house with her dogs. Being in a pack in great for him. Now, we check Aunty Nic has availability to look after Walter before we book a holiday.
Couldn’t recommend enough!! Nic has always been very accommodating. Our labradoodle, Brenda has always been so well looked after and has a great time every week. She also loves staying over on her holidays as it’s like her second home!! Thank you for everything Nic!
I have a lovely, rather old Spanish rescue dog that doesn't like me going anywhere without her. The last thing I wanted was to put her back into a kennel environment when we go away. I am so glad I found Aunty Nic! She is the answer to all our worries! Nicola is a thoroughly professional and reliable animal carer who takes our dog on amazing walks all about the place and welcomes her into her home as part of the pack! To top it all off, she sends plenty of photos and videos of our dog having fun, relaxing, exploring and eating to put our minds at ease. Upon our return, our dog is always happy and relaxed. I would recommend Aunty Nic to anyone who should ask.
Our dog Brenda loves going on her holidays to Nics just as much as we love going away, it almost feels like she doesn’t want to come home! Nic has helped us with training and food choices, as well as walking her every week. We have tried others but nobody has come close to the service Nic provides! 5 starts really isn’t enough!
Nicola is an excellent dog walker and home boarder. Our dog Fudge loves her and is so excited when she comes to take her for a walk. When we go away we know Fudge is well looked after which gives us peace of mind. We are sent videos and photos when we are away which is lovely to have. I would highly recommend Aunty Nic to any dog owner.

Nicola is everything you could ask for when it comes to looking after your much loved pets. Nicola walks my dog Ali three times a week, she picks her up, drops her off hassle free, and I get pictures of their daily adventures around Cumbria to my desk! Nicola is much more than a dog walker though, with animals of her own she offers adventure and the great outdoors to your pet. Ali overnights with Nicola when we go away and loves her time with Aunty Nicola so much she often refuses to get out of Nic’s car on the return home! Nicola is knowledgeable about all animals, caring and will go above and beyond for all of her clients and the individual care she offers to your pet could not be matched anywhere else.
Nicola looked after my house, horses, cat, dog, guinea pigs and fish when I went on holiday. Previously I had to take an extra day off on annual leave to deliver them to cattery, holiday livery etc. and the same when I returned. It was so much easier this time as all the animals stayed at home and I felt better that there was someone going to my house on a regular basis too. The animals were all well cared for and my house was clean and tidy with all the post taken in plus the lawn mowed! Nicola also met with my horse's physiotherapist for me for his appointment while I was away and my dog thinks she is the best thing ever. Having done this once, I will do this every time in future - it was also cheaper than taking them all separately!
Bloody brilliant. I have a sighthound and he wouldn't cope in generic kennels so when I found out Nicola did home boarding I knew she'd know how to handle my boy as she has Sighthounds herself. I love seeing the videos and pictures she sends me of my lad having fun with her hounds and others and I know he's in safe hands. ❤️❤️❤️

I love my cats and could not even dream of leaving them with anyone until I met Joe. Joe is amazing with pets, his dedication and love reflects on everything he does. Our cats love him, sadly more than us but that's okay, because we love Joe too. He is just amazing in so many ways (reliable, happy, helpful and nice) and makes our travel worry free each time with regular updates. Its just very nice to leave them with Joe, who loves our cats as much as we do♥️
What can I say, absolutely first class service from Joe. This was our first time using Joe to look after our cats as we had previously used a cattery. Joe was much cheaper than the cattery but more importantly the cats were actually still friendly towards us when we got home, rather than sulking for a month! They were obviously more comfortable in their own surroundings left to do their own thing. It's obvious to see that Joe loves animals and they love him too, we had updates daily with our cats on his knee or giving his hand head bops which was lovely and comforting to see when we were in another country. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joe and we will be using him going forward whenever we go on holiday. Genuinely nice guy, no hassle and excellent communication.
Joe always does a fantastic job of looking after our cat and tortoise. Our cat can be a little grumpy and feisty but she always looks so pleased, calm and relaxed to be around Joe’s company when we’re not there. We receive photo and video and updates whilst we’re away and always come back to happy and healthy animals. We really cannot recommend Joe enough, as another review has said he’s trustworthy, reliable, responsive and affordable. We’ve already used him a couple of times, and we will definitely be using him in future.
Joe has watched over my cats while I traveled over many years. He's always been trustworthy, reliable and responsive, which makes leaving the babies less stressful! The photos he sends were so lovely to see. He always took time to coax out the shy one, and the friendly one looked like she wouldn't leave his lap! Would recommend him for anyone looking for a petsitter.
Joe is extremely reliable and is really easy to get in contact with. He is excellent with our puppy Zippy, providing visits whilst we are at work. A really trustworthy person, would definitely recommend! we will be using Joe's service for a long time to come

My elderly kitty Seren has just boarded here, she has medical issues requiring meds regularly throughout the day with food so she is quite labor intensive, was this a problem for the staff Absolutely Not!, I couldn't have been more pleased with the care they have given her, I was sent regular photos and updates too and the Staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, Seren's pen was large and airy with stunning views over the countryside and valley, wow what a fantastic place

Fantastic for looking after your pets when your away. Would highly recommend, we always use v view for looking after our g pigs when on hols. Very reasonably priced aswell.
Very helpful and friendly staff, always willing to try and accommodate us as much as possible. We've had occasions when we were late to pick up our pet due to bad motorway traffic and someone waited after hours for us. Never had any real problems getting a booking, even at short notice. We have tried other similar places in the area which looked great with their fancy websites but shall remain nameless because they were weird and unhelpful, and our cat seemed to be malnourished and traumatised after spending a week there.

Absolutely amazing place! They look after my old man (my senior tabby who is 16yo) when I go away on holiday and they take such good care of him. They also send you pictures whilst you're away with a little update. Amazing staff and a beautiful place.
We've been bringing our golden retrievers here for regular weekends for over eight years. They have always been very happy to be left here and come home in excellent shape. The staff are always very helpful and always welcome the dogs. Excellent value too.
We were going away at new year and luckily through a friend we heard about valley view for our only 4 month old kitten who I was nervous and reluctant about leaving for the first time. Valley view were very good with our last minute arrangement as we only asked them the day before in a last minute rush! As soon as we got there I loved how peaceful it was surrounded by nature and the sound of the birds Which I knew our kitty would love to watch through the window! Although I wasn’t allowed to go in and stay with her until she settled in which is always difficult I presume due to covid rules, they sent a picture of her and a little update the following day which was appreciated. The price is also great value. When I came to collect her on the allocated pick up day it was very straight forward and quick, definitely a lovely little place for your lovely furry family members to holiday whilst your holidaying!
We have been taking our 2 dogs here for a few years .The care they are given is great and they know and understand our dogs very well.Suki the shepherd has allergies and they are brilliant with her and all the things she needs done daily to help. In fact our dogs come home every time healthy and happy and for that reason Valley view is the kennels I would use every time without fail.
Thank you for yet another great holiday for our Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Blue. She had the best time with Elaine and come home as happy as ever. We loved the pictures we received whilst she was on holiday and handwritten postcard she came home with. Thank you Kathryn and the team. See you again in the summer.

I have only joined the Doggy Tired family recently but feel like I've know Ann for ages she is such a lovely woman who absolutely loves her job. My Cornelius loves it there , he gets to mix with other dogs which is very important, and gets lots of fresh air and exercise on the field, with the many obstacles there to climb. jump, splash in. He comes back a very happy doggy, he actually cries when Ann leaves. 5 * because the service they provide is excellent. Cornelius.
I have rated Doggy Tired outstanding because my own dog Charlie gets very excited when Ann picks him up 3 times a week.On return he is happy & tired! There are lots of different activities for the dogs to play with & experience. Everything is about the happiness, welfare & safety of the dogs. Charlie has also boarded with Ann & i would not hesitate to book him in again! For his stay he became an extra member of the Williams family & all his needs were catered for. From his dish of decaff tea at breakfast to his medication for allergies. I also like looking at the video's that are posted of the dogs & how they spend their time running as part of a pack or having a quiet moment. I am chronically sick & disabled.I know that if I have to go in to hospital then Charlie would be well looked after by Ann! She knows his routine & his likes & dislikes.
Ann from Doggy Tired has now started taking care of our new puppy 'Henry' He greets her like he's known her all his life (well all 4 months of it!) and comes back from his walk clean and looking very happy. I think Ann is a true dog whisperer and would recommend her to anyone.
Our dog goes for a walk three times a week with doggy tired. She seems very happy and it certainly helps to have her go out during the week.

Where to start. My son was let down at the eleventh hour by his kennels and was due to go on holiday the next day, leaving us with his dog! Gary and his team were amazing, they found us a space for Moose, the dog, and helped us with getting his vaccination certificates from his vet. Drop off was really smooth, as was pick up. Moose couldn’t tell me that he’d had a good time but, he appeared, happy, contented and well looked after. A huge thanks to Gary and all the team. Kevin, Graham (and Moose)
Our dog has some medical issues and takes numerous tablets. We wouldn’t trust anywhere else but Terry, Garry and the team to look after him. They take great care to listen and understand your pets needs and look after them like they are their own. Our dog always goes in wagging and happy and comes out the same. Thank you Team for taking such awesome care of Blake and taking the stress out of leaving him to go on holiday. He loves it there.
Our cat Tilly stayed in the cat chalet for 3 nights and loved it, we were a little apprehensive as she has never stayed in a cattery before. But she loved it, staff from beginning to end were so professional and really put us at ease. They even called me to let me know how she was doing. Amazing service ! 5 Stars We recently boarded our dog, Loki, at Hest Bank Kennels and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, the process was smooth and easy. The team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which instantly put our minds at ease. Most importantly, Loki came home happy and relaxed, a true testament to the care he received. We will definitely be using Hest Bank Kennels again and highly recommend them to other pet owners!

I 10000% recommend Hest Bank Kennels. I had a traumatic experience last year when I put my dogs in another kennels in the north west. Long story short, it took a lot for me to find a kennels that I could trust and feel was safe for my two labradors. I spoke with Gary on the phone who was so reassuring, kind and compassionate and made me feel completely comfortable in leaving my girls - Phoebe & Mabel with them at Hest Bank. They suggested a few day sessions at first, then a few nights before leaving them for a longer period of time. (This massively helped me more than the girls get used to them being somewhere else) I was so worried and scared to see what my girls would be like when they come out after the previous experience elsewhere. My girls were absolutely fine and I felt so comfortable knowing that they were ok and there was no issues. My girls are slowly becoming regulars and love going now! I am not worried or concerned as I know they are in safe and capable, loving hands which makes leaving them there on a break so much easier. I make the 66 mile round trip because I’ve never found care for my girls like it. Thank you Hest Bank!! 🐶🐶💗

What fantastic service 😊 We booked Two guinea pigs and the cockatiel very last minute and we were very sceptical whether they would be able to accommodate us as they are very busy at this time of year, The staff were absolutely fantastic, not only were they able to accommodate our pets they were kind enough to drive Almost an hour to our house to pick them up. When he arrived he was so helpful And had brought carriers for the guinea pigs And a spacious comfortable travel cage for our cockatiel, He also asked us lots of questions about the pets which really put my mind at ease they really do go all out to make sure your pets are comfortable and as stressfree as possible 😊. We will definitely be using hesk bank from now on it feels so good to be able to go on holiday knowing our pets are being very well looked after. We traveled from Oxford and used the kennels near our holiday destination. It turned out to be a very good decision. Staff were friendly, confident and great with our dogs. Opening times are really sensible and price is very competitive. Having collected our dogs today they are happy, settled and well exercised. Thank you to Terry and his team, we will definitely use them again.

Really good communication and allowed us to visit before deciding to book our cats in. In my experience, only extremely trustworthy Cattery’s allow this. The team there all clearly care about the pets deeply. I feel very safe in leaving my cats there whilst I am out of country and am confident they are looked after extremely well. Used Valley View Cats for the first time. It is very professionally ran and you can tell the staff really enjoy their work. We had regular photos of Billy whilst we were away, which was very much appreciated. Will definitely use them for any holidays, although you do have to be prompt, they are so in demand.
I cannot recommend this facility enough. The staff are kind and friendly. Very organised, secure and extremely clean. Our two cats had a massive space of their own, with windows, scratching posts, heated beds. They were allowed time outside of their space too to have a wander in a safe environment. Very well priced too. They are already booked in for our next holiday.
