I can’t thank or praise Nathalie and Hanspeter enough! They allowed our family to get away worry-free on a short (only 5 days) trip away from our dog for the first time in six years. Our dog loved them and actually benefitted from a great vacation with them! They took her with them on daily excursions locally, to Lake Geneva, and up to play in the snow on top of the Salève. They were super thoughtful and went above and beyond the call of duty to make the experience positive and convenient for us. Their communication with us was top-notch with photos and short notes which I really appreciated so we always felt at ease. The couple are expert house and pet sitters as they have embraced the adventure and discovery of the zeewoi concept and have successfully performed both short- and longterm sits over the last few years. I have used zeewoi for a few years now, and this is the first time I am leaving anything but a five star review. The main reason for this is some strange behaviors and neglecting the dogs. I am very transparent about having a ring doorbell - I usually never check it, but noticed that it hadn't been activated for almost an entire day, and I worried the battery had died. I was distressed to see that they had just been gone for the time, and the battery was fine. In both my welcome packet and my communications I was very clear that while they are more than welcome to go out and explore the area, the dogs really need to be let out at least every six hours - they left them at home for over nine hours during the day, and then only took them out for two minutes when they returned. Additionally, I realized they had been wearing my clothes and shoes when they went out. I knew they were coming from a more temperate climate, and would have happily lent coats/hats/etc, but it was distressing to see them confidently wearing my clothes without notifying/asking. It made me mistrustful for the rest of their sit. All this being said, after I contacted them regarding this, they were more diligent about taking care of the dogs and the condo was clean and organized when I returned. I believe that the two women are great people, but have concerns they will take advantage of pet parents again.
Another excellent sit by Morgan and Ron! Came home to a tidy house and I think some weeding of the rhubarb even happened! The ducks had clean water and were spoiled (I’m sure) with berries every day! Goggles our cat is so settled in their care that he doesn’t even get up to greet us upon our return!! 🤣🥰
