I had a positive experience with Sinead as my cat Mia's pet-sitter for a 6-day period. Sinead approached her role with great responsibility and was helpful throughout. She brought a friend along, as we agreed, making me feel assured that Mia would have the attention she needed. Sinead's flexibility was evident when she arrived a day before the pet-sitting began. This allowed her to familiarize herself with the flat, and more importantly, get acquainted with Mia. I appreciated this extra effort, especially as I had an early morning train to catch the next day. The initial nights proved challenging as Mia was hesitant around a new person. Despite the unusual meowing during the first 2-3 nights, Sinead persevered and eventually succeeded in winning over Mia's trust. It was heartening to know that she cared enough to make the extra effort, and it paid off as Mia became more comfortable and content. Upon my return, I found a happy and normal cat, a testament to Sinead's dedication. Additionally, the cleanliness of my home was maintained, reflecting her thoroughness in both pet care and housekeeping. Overall, I highly recommend Sinead as a pet-sitter for her commitment, flexibility, and genuine care for the well-being of my beloved cat Mia.

Rosemary & Steve

We were delighted that Rose and Steve wanted to come and house and pet sit for us. They looked after Russell our greyhound so well and he was very happy and relaxed when we got back. They sent regular updates and pictures to us which we really appreciated, and our home was left spotlessly clean and tidy. Thank you both.

Susan

Susan took care of our two deaf, elderly cats for two weeks in December. She was happy to give them their twice-daily medications, cater to their whims at very early hours in the morning, and give them plenty of attention while we were gone. We appreciated Susan's frequent updates - she sent pictures of our boys daily and kept us informed about their activities. She also answered questions we had about our mail and sent us pictures of mailings when we requested it. As this was her first sit, she asked lots of great questions about our expectations and wishes, and was happy to oblige. In addition to being a conscientious cat and house sitter, Susan was a lot of fun to visit with and we truly enjoyed getting to know her! We were glad that we had Susan sit for our cats and would have her back in the future. We never worried about anything while we were away, and when our vacation eventually ended, we were happy to come home to fresh flowers and two happy cats!

Heather & Tom

Heather and Tom returned to our house in order, this time, to look after just Rory. It was lovely to see them again and to catch up a little. Rory was immediately chatty and completely at ease in their presence. I like to think he recognised their sensitive and gentle ways, knowing he was safe and would be much loved and entertained. I too felt totally happy and reassured that Heather and Tom would instinctively know how to handle Rory and allow him to bond in his own time. Indeed, within the hour before I left, he was playing and wallowing in their attention and affection. When I returned 48 hours later (they had left a short time before) he was utterly settled and contented. Heather and Tom are superb sitters. They made a very long and tedious journey to help me out and suffered the inevitable traffic hold-ups that typify a hot Bank Holiday drive. Everything was immaculate when I got back. They had taken on the job of watering my plant pots as well as taking care of domestic tasks so I had a lazy evening. I recommend them highly as house and pet sitters and hope they will be able to manage other oportunities to come my way!

Laura was a great house sitter and looked after our pets and home well. She kept in contact with us prior to the house sit and arrived well ahead of our arranged time. She was warm and friendly and we felt we were in safe hands when we met her. She kept us updated with news of our pets. Unfortunately she had to leave earlier than planned due to a family emergency. Despite the emergency she waited until we made alternate arrangements for our pets and dropped off our dog at a boarding kennel and spoke to our neighbour to make sure our cat would be looked after and only left when this was all sorted. She had left the home clean and tidy. We would happily recommend Laura as a house sitter.

Aron

Aron and Karen were excellent sitters, arriving punctually the morning before our departure. They dealt efficiently with the added and unforeseen problem that Feather was in season, requiring lead walks for the first week of their stay. They seemed to bond immediately with Feather and were there to greet us on our return at a very early hour, having left their room stripped and towels already in the machine! Thank you for looking after Feather so well and I’m sorry that the weather wasn’t better for you!

Ray & Marlene

Want to say a huge big thank you to Ray and Marlene, what a lovely friendly couple and wonderful pet and house sitters. From the moment we met them we felt at ease and knew Rodney and Mindy were going to have a wonderful time with them. We received pictures and updates every day and the dogs looked liked they were having such a fun time. The weather was really bad when we were away, however the dogs were walked every day in all conditions. On our last day we got a compilation video which was really special. When we got home there was a wonderful homemade meal prepared for us, the house was so clean and tidy and the dogs looked so happy. We can't recommend Ray and Marlene enough. It was a pleasure to look after Aoife and Lily! We loved exploring their area of Achill together and relaxing with them at home on the couch. Lily loves the beach and Aoife loves being out on a walk so we made sure to visit the beaches nearby. Lily will likely dig in the sand (so adorable) and Aoife likes to roll in it! We were lucky that we visited in the off season when dogs are allowed on the beach. Some of the previous reviews make it sound like Aoife is a bit of a nightmare with cars, which we found to be inaccurate. Naturally, it is imperative to be cautious but she happily sat and waited calmly as the cars went by. They did bark if someone came to the house (as most dogs do) but quickly settled. They are so adorable, have sweet personalities and are great company!

The house has everything you might need and has been beautifully renovated. We were very comfortable! 
Chantal and Daniel are friendly and welcoming. We had a great video chat with them prior to arriving and communication before and during the sit was clear and easy.  It was so nice to chat with fellow Canadians! We were very grateful that we could spend time getting to know them after the sit and we really appreciated their hospitality!

Overall, you will thoroughly enjoy your time with Aoife and Lily if you are lucky enough to look after them! We hope we get the opportunity to see them all again soon!

Janet's stay was great!  Her communication excellent and the details she typed out and reviewed upon my arrival were much appreciated!  The animals were a delight.  The pups really like their walks and were very well behaved on the leashes.  They are so sweet and affectionate.  Ms. Tattie (the kitty) is reserved and keeps to herself but I was elated that I broke the ice and she let me scratch her head.  Strong recommend to other sitters and I would love return sits if schedules align.

What a wonderful housesit this was! Paula and Steve’s home and grounds are beautiful, and we loved spending a sunny evening outside enjoying the wildlife and the peace and quiet. It is such an idyllic and relaxing setting. 

We loved the daily duck feeds, especially as the ducks would noisily let us know when it was breakfast time and escort us down to the pond. But real the stars of the show have to be the dogs, Boris and Hector! They were such a joy to look after, both very well behaved but also full of cheeky character. After two weeks together we were all firm friends! The dogs are both so happy to just be with you, and not sure Boris’ tail ever stops wagging. There are plenty of walks along the river to Romsey and through the nature reserve so exploring with the dogs was always fun. 

Paula and Steve were really welcoming to us and were great to communicate with before and during the sit. The internet was great for working from home, and we had the added perk of enjoying the lovely garden views too. 

We were sad to leave this sit, but really hope we can come back and sit again. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful location with some very good boys! :-)

It was truly a wonderful experience to stay in Anna's home and resort. She has a lovely family and her pets are great company and very entertaining. The setting is so peaceful as it is set in the countryside with lots of wildlife, flowers and nature.

Duncan and Nathalie are very lovely and welcoming, they went out of their way to accommodate us for the sit and went above and beyond as hosts. 

We had such a lovely time with Popeye who is a BIG friendly giant who just loves pats and the company of other humans, his very easy to walk and very well behaved so don’t let his size intimidate you at all, you will fall in love with him in an instant. 
The 3 cats Mika, Tooley and Nala are all very sociable and will come for pats one at a time, especially Tooley who loves food. 

The house is very lovely and comfortable, we very much enjoyed the spa and cinema room, enjoy your sit
