Our sit for David and Bette was wonderful! Lilly is an adorable bundle of love! She snuggles with you whenever she can, but is not overly demanding of attention. Skippy was travelling with mom and dad for this trip, but we are looking forward to caring for him in the future. Bette and David prepared very precise instructions on every possible aspect of dog care as well as home care, which made us quite comfortable during this home sit. Bette baked us delicious scones and even stocked my husband's favorite Coke Zero! Their home is nestled in the Pondersa Pines of the foothills of the Cascades - awesome views of the Sisters Mountains greeted us each morning as well as a few families of deer! We would highly recommend this sit and hope we are able to return to Lilly and Skippy!
I had a wonderful 7 weeks taking care of Leila and Cosmo. Dale and Patrick were incredibly kind and generous, taking me around town and introducing me to a few neighbors before they left. They communicated clearly and often and the whole turnover process went smoothly. They also made sure to leave a packet of information and contacts for any troubleshooting issues. The cats themselves are absolutely adorable and full of character. Both cats were affectionate and snuggly but also independent (not velcro cats). Leila has the best purrs and Cosmo would cuddle right next to me while I sat. The home was comfortable and the garden beautiful and easy to manage. Whaley Bridge is a lovely little town that is well connected to public transport and has an abundance of cafes and cute shops. I definitely recommend this sit to anyone
Anne is such an awesome person! She is left clear instructions and even left helpful notes around the house to explain where things were located. The cats were fun cats each with their own kitty personality. The home was beautiful, well-appointed, and in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay at Anne's in Oakland. I highly recommend this sit!
We had the absolute pleasure of getting to know Michelle and Blaine, as well as their two adorable dogs, Maizy and Lola. After warming up to us, Maizy and Lola quickly became some of the sweetest and cuddliest dogs we’ve ever met. They were very enthusiastic about their walks, and loved to cuddle and keep us company while we were working remotely. Michelle and Blaine were very generous and kind - they welcomed us into their lovely home, and were excellent communicators throughout the entire process. Their home was quiet (located in an equally quiet neighborhood), extremely tidy, spacious, and approximate to nearby amenities, as well as only a short 20-30 minute drive to Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. If you have to opportunity to get to know Blaine, Michelle, Maizy, and Lola, you’re in for a treat!!! Thank you for everything!
This was a great sit! Raffy provided very comprehensive notes on where everything was / house details / feeding details etc and ensured I was prepared for Ralf's needs and temperament (as a rescue) ahead of my arrival so I felt very prepared on what to expect. Ralf was a joy to look after! He was initially quite shy and is on the whole generally a pretty independent and quiet wee guy but by the end he was showing more affection which was unexpected and a nice bonus! Raffy's apartment was very clean, tidy & comfortable and I was provided with everything I needed. It's very close to bus routes to get into central Bristol and good access to St George & Trooper's Hill. Thanks again Raffy for having me sit Ralf! It was lovely meeting you both!
We had such a superb stay at Mindi and Dave’s, we wish it could have lasted a lot longer. Hospitable, welcoming, helpful, and generous, Mindi and Dave made us feel immediately at home, as though we were re-uniting with old friends that we hadn’t seen in a while instead of meeting them face-to-face for the first time. Many fascinating stories and funny anecdotes were shared around the dinner table as we enjoyed Mndi’s delicious cooking and fresh produce from the gardens. Mindi and Dave’s log home is very comfortable, the gardens abundant, and the setting of their property on the river is spectacular in all directions. Mindi and Dave’s care and compassion for and their understanding of their three dogs was very apparent. They were thorough in explaining the backgrounds of each pet and in explaining their needs and wants. What’s more, happiness radiated from all three animals. August, Lemon and Taco, each with their unique personalities and charms, left an indelible imprint on our hearts and minds. Each dog was highly entertaining in his/her own way, and we found ourselves laughing uproariously very often at their antics. Our walks with August, Lemon and Taco were always rewarding and enriching. There was even one time when a professional dog trainer, helping a pet-owner with a new young puppy who just happened to be on the trail when we were, thanked us for the opportunity to have the puppy interact with three such well-behaved dogs. As we explained, the credit for August’s, Lemon’s and Taco’s good behaviour and ability to socially interact well with other animals, must go to Mindi and Dave. In observing Mindi and Dave with August, Lemon, and Taco, it is impossible to measure who loves each other more, the humans’ love for their dogs or the dogs’ love for their humans. Such a wonderful, memorable time we had with Mindi and Dave and with August, Lemon and Taco! It would be sheer joy for us to be able to return.
