Misty was truly amazing! She and I felt comfortable the minute we met. Our Kitty had a positive reaction to her immediately as well (animals know!). She sent pics/videos of our cat while we were gone and I could tell he was so happy and content. She was also, very self sufficient and reliable. She stayed later on our last day to ensure the cat and fish were fed as we were arriving on a late flight. She checked to make sure we arrived before leaving. When we arrived home, she left a thorough note about the areas she had cleaned/vacuumed, etc. We had not expected that, but it was so nice to arrive to that! She also left a few treats for us (and the cat). It was such a positive experience. I gave her 5 (well deserved) stars! I know our cat enjoyed her and looked for her . I would have her stay again in a heartbeat.
Amelia was fantastic! She and Grant left the place clean and communicated frequently. We loved the photos of Tiger, our cat, with their little baby boy- so precious! I would highly recommend Amelia and Grant to house sit.
What a joy it was caring for adorable kitty Miles while his owner Brian was away. Brian's home was very comfortable and close to all the stores, restaurants and the nearby beaches. His instructions and information in the guide book were detailed and easy to follow. Brian was very thoughtful in ensuring that I was comfortable and he was easy to converse with reference his lovely home and the care of his kitty Miles. Miles and I got along great. He was always by my side except when he was sleeping during the day. Miles is a precious, sweet cat and a joy to care for at Brian's lovely home....yes, I would love to come back and sit again!
hate to play favorites but dude has my heart. bothh koda and I were sad to leave. Joseph and courtney were so sweet and helpful. great first house sit and I would be happy to sit again anytime.
Betsy & Don are very relaxed people who enjoy life and have very big hearts when it comes to animals in need. They have taken in many rescue dogs and cats and given them a good home. They have 3 dogs and 9 cats, as I write but that could and will change. It was however, very simple to care for them all. Feed all of the cats and the dogs in the morning and evening in 2 sessions. The 3 dogs love their walks and the cats tag along too. I felt like the Pied Piper of Panama with the entire entourage in tow. The area where they live is a very peaceful and quiet village but within easy reach of Coronado where you have everything that you need. I really enjoyed my time there and thank Betsy and Don for their warm welcome, trust and hospitality. I would always be happy to sit for them again.
Maureen’s home is lovely, super clean and quiet. She left clear instructions on how to look after Jasper. Jasper is a sweet old cat, set in his ways and very food orientated. My morning alarm was an early one since he was miaowing for food by 6am! He’s very lovable and he warmed to me quickly. He loves to be cuddled, scratched and brushed. He followed me around a lot and sat on my lap in the evening to watch tv! A really lovely sit, it was a pleasure to look after sweet little Jasper.
Juno is a very friendly, super chill dog - sleeping most of the day but happy to be out for a walk or two. The apartment is lovely, great design and location! The beach is within walking distance, well a long walk, but doable. I would absolutely consider staying again to hang with Juno! Apologies for the late feedback, I've been away from TH for a while!
Renate & Huw's home was situated in a great location within Shoreham by Sea - it was very easy to quickly walk to both the town centre and the beach area, & we were very impressed by the range of activities on offer at The Ropetackle Centre. Good road links & easy drive to Worthing, Brighton & Eastbourne for days out. Eddy was a lovely dog, affectionate & very easy to look after - we enjoyed exploring locally on his daily walks. We were warned Eddy's recall was not good, so we didn't free run him during our stay and Eddy didn't seem bothered by this. Overall we enjoyed exploring new areas of West Sussex but would suggest that more care is taken in presenting the house at it's best, as well as ensuring amenities offered are in full working order, so that future housesitters can fully enjoy their housesitting experience.
