Meg loves Africa and was very keen to come and house sit for me. She had spent time in Kenya as a volunteer so I felt she would be able to handle the challengers of living in Botswana. She took over the assignment from another couple who successfully completed the first 3 weeks of the 7 week house sit. Her first days were beset with challenges. Heavy rains had made the access roads to the house waterlogged; my little Terrier was attacked by a neighbour's dog; she had to adjust to driving my car on the left hand side of the road. She diligently stuck to the task believing that things would only get better end they did. By the time she left, she was in tears saying goodbye to the animals, the staff and Maun. Meg is a fascinating story teller and I only met her face to face on my return. She kept me enrapt with her stories. She was funny and so unbelievably good to all my animals. She learnt a lot from her stay in Maun. It was important for her to have a detailed manual and she followed this exactly. She proved to be resourceful, diligent and unstinting in her role as a house sitter. She got on well with my staff and walked the dogs twice a day. They missed her terribly after she left. I would recommend Meg without hesitation.
