JILL
This was our first sit ever, we had no reviews and Jill fully trusted us with her cats, her house and her car! “Someone has to start somewhere”she said. We are very grateful to her!
Jill is devoted to animals, very kind and generous.
The two cats Alix and Ziva have very distinct personalities and both are endearing! We very much enjoyed their presence and appreciated having them at the door when we came back to the house.
Jill’s home is beautiful, tidy and clean. It is very comfortable, quiet and with a well equipped kitchen. There is also a nice garden where birds are fed.
The village is very very nice with many footpaths!
We were very happy here, like at home!
We totally recommend this sit!

Rory
Looking after Penny was a delight! She was very playful, energetic and affectionate. Lizzy and Rory’s apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. They explained everything we needed to know very clearly beforehand and responded quickly to any of our questions. Public transportation was easy and a number of supermarkets were close by. We would be very happy to look after her again someday!

Dan
Dan Dan and Pete’s home was super comfortable in the middle of a quaint part of England. The two dogs were a joy to watch and I felt instantly at home. The neighbors were friendly and visiting the sites in the area made for a fantastic visit. Dan Dan was extremely responsive when I had a few questions about the home and was beyond helpful with suggestions for enjoying the area. I would recommend to anyone who loves history, the countryside and of course dogs! Emperor the daschund has such a sweet personality and loves belly rubs and his bean bag chair. Hamish the scotty is so loving and enjoyed seeing his dog buddies from the neighborhood. The local shop was convenient, but with bus service I went into Bath most days very easily. Walking along the canals was magical to see the long boats and enjoy nature. I would highly recommend this opportunity!! Incredible people and animals. I did interact with the bird, Pappadom, Socks the cat, and the 4 turtles, but some other people did most of the caretaking. It was a joy to see the dogs interacting with the turtles. The gardens in the houses are incredibly lush and beautiful. One didn’t need to go anywhere to enjoy a beautiful cup of tea!

Andrea
We spent a week in West Kelowna, thoroughly enjoying both the three lovely pets and the time spent with Andrea and Ryan and their two daughters, before and after their camping holiday away! Andrea and Ryan were warm, welcoming and very hospitable. They invited us to stay the night before they left and we all enjoyed a meal together and great conversation. We, in turn, fixed a meal for them on the evening they returned when we all had more time to visit and become friends! Lovely family!

Their Welcome Guide was well done and they were easy to communicate with when we had questions before and during the sit. In addition, this sit was agreed upon in a slightly different way - we contacted them during our search for sits in their region to see if they might possibly want to take a holiday during the time we were planning to be there and amazingly enough they accommodated our request and our dates and planned a family camping trip while we took care their critters! ‘Thank you, Andrea and Ryan’!!

The location and their home was perfect…comfortable, spacious and well equipped, with a fabulous view across the valley with glimpses of the lake below the hills and mountains around Kelowna.

We absolutely loved the pets - they were a dream to care for and full of personality - even the beautiful Crush the turtle…he seemed to be startled by us when we entered his room at first but soon relaxed and was so cute, swimming to the corner where we fed him and he would ‘kiss’ the glass and looking into my eyes (it seemed) A few times he climbed out of the water onto a platform where I could ‘pet’ him. Our first turtle sit! Heidi, the Swiss Mountaindoodle, is a fabulous dog! She is a well behaved, very large dog and sometimes doesn’t realize how big she really is but is very gentle and sweet. She didn’t jump but loved to lean and push to show her affection. She loves to cuddle and is one of the most loving friendly dogs we have had the pleasure of caring for. She walks perfectly on the lead and loves to play in the back yard. She is also best friends with the sweet indoor cat, Neko. They would play-fight around the house often and seem to both love it. Neko, being a tenth the size of Heidi, seemed to be the one in charge. Neko loved attention and food and never stopped trying to escape to the outdoors - but was easy to catch and return to the indoors.

All in all this was a great house-sit and if you get the opportunity to take care of Andrea and Ryan’s home and pets, we’d highly recommend you go for it! 5 Stars!

Shelise & Jonathan’s place is perfect! A great location & cozy vibe. They are so kind and made me feel right at home. Oscar is quite possibly the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. Loves to cuddle, go for walks and drives. I would highly recommend this sit :)
