This was a fantastic sit all round. Sherrin and Tony a great hosts, very welcoming and generous. The house is beautiful and cosy with a wonderful fireplace, marvellous views over the hills and a river rushing past. And the three dogs are absolutely adorable - highly entraining and easy to love and look after. We stayed for 2 month, enjoyed every moment and would love to return one day.
We spent some nice days at Nicoles place in SF. The place is located near to Mission Street which gives you everything you need (markets, supermarkets, bus, metro, restaurants). The home is quiet, peaceful and comfortable. You even get a parking lot, if needed. And then there is Theo - such a funny cat. He’s a little bit crazy (positiv) and you need some time to handle him. But after a few days you will fall in love with him, and he will spend a lot of time on your lap. Also communication with Nicole worked well and so give us everything we needed. Thank you for having us! Highly recommended! ☺️
I loved sitting Jack at Lisa's beautiful home. He's such a loving Kitty and loved being outside with me--sitting a few feet away. The home was beautiful and comfortable. Close to everything--a great neighbourhood for walking, eating, and shopping. Lisa provided detailed information on the house and Jack. I was very comfortable. The backyard is a perfect place to work.
We had a wonderful and relaxing time at Cedar and Alec‘s beautiful home. Cedar and Alec were very welcoming. Alec picked us up at the train station and helped us to run some errands. Tess and Miles settled straight away and were fantastic companions during our stay. They enjoyed their daily walk and the daily bath in the river. The wonderful thing about the location is the amount of space for the animals. The sheep, the chicken and the dogs can roam freely. And we loved to be around. During our stay we played table tennis, practice yoga and took the bikes to explore the beautiful landscape. The house and the garden are very beautiful, we felt very comfortable. Thank you so much for this relaxing and quiet experience. We enjoyed to have dinner with you and playing boardgames. You are an amazing family!

I know for a fact that she is well taken care of while I am traveling and that makes me feel 1000x better; I don't need to worry about the love she is receiving while I'm away! CANNOT RECOMMEND BELLA ENOUGH! We have had Bella take care of our dog for the past 2 years when we go out of town. After a bad experience with a doggy day care center that felt impersonal and cold, Bella was a breath of fresh air. When our dog is with her, he really is a part of the family and I am able to relax while away because I know he’s in great hands. Our dog enjoys playing with her children and even going to work with Bella at the pet hospital. She is able to provide pick up and drop offs, lots of pictures every day as well as some grooming services. Bella is also very flexible and easy to contact. Our dog always returns exhausted and well cared for. Anyone should feel comfortable with their pet in her care. We cannot recommend her enough!
Bella has cared for our two dogs and diabetic cat for over a year now, and she is truly fantastic! She is flexible, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure our fur-babies are happy and healthy. She has accommodated all sorts of issues for us, including last minute schedule changes and medication administration. Our dogs are usually nervous around people, but they always have a great time with Bella. She is also great about keeping us informed and sends plenty of photos after each visit. I cannot recommend her services highly enough - without Bella, we wouldn’t be able to travel nearly as much as we have lately! I am so comfortable with Bella caring for our animals. If I could give her 10 stars, I would!!
Bella is awesome! She’s been watching my dogs for over 3 years now and has always done an amazing job with them. She is very attentive, sends updates often, and offers pick-up and drop-off services. I know that anytime I leave my dogs with Bella and her family they will be well loved and well played with.
Bella did an amazing job taking care of our healthy cat and our sick cat while we were away. She administered medication as prescribed and provided daily updates to the worried pet parents. Bella was lovely to talk with and also took good care of our home. I highly recommend her!

I have been employing Fetch! for my pet care needs for well over a decade now, perhaps 15 years (it's been a long time!). Without exception, the sitter (Jenny) has always gone above and beyond to satisfy every need while I'm away from home, not only for my pets, but in ensuring my home is secure during and between visits and in collecting mail and informing me of anything else that requires my attention (water leaks, flooding, etc.). In addition, the sitter has been wonderful in administering medications properly when needed and in cleaning litter boxes, food dishes, and eating/waste areas as needed. The sitter has also made time on every visit to play with my cats, which I can tell from photos that they've really enjoyed! I greatly appreciate the photographs Jenny sends after each visit, but I have always had complete peace of mind when I'm away, due to the fantastic communication she provides. Lastly, the management and staff of Fetch! have provided excellent administrative support in adjusting scheduling changes to accommodate my schedule. In my opinion, the service provided by Fetch! is worth every penny!
Silver Spring Fetch is awesome! Their sitter Dawn became a part of our family. My cats love her!! I always felt better when I know that Dawn was watching over my fur babies and appreciate the great care that she gave them.

We have been using FETCH for several years (about 6-7?). I cannot recommend this company more highly. Originally, FETCH came to our house in Kensington. When we moved further out in the county, FETCH accommodated us even though we were not in their usual walking area. Lorena has been walking our pup ever since, at least 3 years. Our pup loves Lorena who is completely focused on her care the entire time she is with her. Lorena knows exactly what our dog needs and she has special games she plays with her. (Hiding treats around the room when she leaves!). I attached one of Lorena's daily pictures of our dog. FETCH also accommodates our crazy, inconsistent work schedules. Over the years, their service has improved with digital walk diaries, online client portals and better customer service. We do not provide people with the keys to our home lightly. FETCH is licensed and bonded and they really check out their walkers thoroughly. We would not trust anyone else to care for our pup, especially now that she is aging. FETCH is a premium service, but the service and sense of trust we get from knowing they can be there for our dog is well worth it
I am new to Fetch! but have nothing but good things to say about my experience with them. Their online system makes scheduling visits, paying invoices, and receiving updates very easy and organized. Jenny, in particular, is such a pleasure to work with. She is professional, punctual, and thorough. Her post-visit updates with pictures and commentary provided much peace of mind while I was away. I have a blind, senior cat who is a little needier than the average cat, but I know he's in great hands with Jenny.
Absolutely love this service! Fetch is so reliable, I love that I’m always matched with the same sitter. Shout out to Connor. Connor comes to our home every time we’re out of town, our two cats love him, and, most importantly, I always feel safe having him in my home. Connor plays with my girls, takes pictures, and leaves a diary note in the app telling me about their day. I look forward to those updates when I’m abroad! I also have the peace of mind knowing that Connor is not an independent contractor, so if he’s ever sick or unavailable, Fetch will send a new sitter out to take care of my cats. All around 5 stars. Josephine and Chris are a godsend! We have a very energetic and dog reactive Pudelpointer and they have been taking great care of her off and on for the last 2 years. She gets plenty of love and has been able to socialize with many dogs which is helpful in her behavior training. Highly recommended service!
Chris and his team have been so wonderful! Chris is responsive, and works with my ever-changing schedule, and is great with my dog. I love that he uses the Pet Check technology - I get an email when they arrive, and again when they leave with a note about the walk, and sometimes a picture :) Paying invoices is smooth and easy. After using two other dog walkers, we've stuck with Chris for quite some time now and I highly recommend using him and his team.
We've used Chris and Peticular Charm Per Care several times. They've always done a great job and have been consistent, reliable, and professional. Our dogs are French Bulldogs and they have special needs. Chris and team did a great job with them and the dogs loved them. I highly recommend Peticular Charm Pet Care to anyone who is looking for dog walking services in the DC area. Chris is always very responsive and helpful when I reach out to him via email about scheduling extra walks or cancelling walks. Our little dog adores his walker and looks forward to his daily afternoon walks. Our walker is diligent in checking in with us and texting us updates as needed. Lastly, the app used by Peticular Charm is very convenient--you can see when your dog was walked, what route they took, and what your dog, ahem, *did* on his walk. I really trust Peticular Charm to look after my dog and give him the walks he craves in the middle of the day.
Chris and his team of walkers are great. Mark has walked our dog for a number of months and we've been super happy (as has our puppy). Their use of the Pet Check system makes tracking and paying for service so easy and convenient. We have recommended them to several families already and will continue to do so.
I’m thrilled with the dog walking services of PETicular Charm! The owner, Chris, came by to meet our little guys, took notes on behavior and routine. Very good rates! An added plus is that Chris and his crew can board a dog at the last minute in case we have an emergency. I trust Chris and his employees explicitly with our dogs and our house! Chris is also a very well read, traveled, cultured musician with a fascinating life. My dogs are in interesting company - kinda jealous!
The team at Peticular Charm has been great! We use them for daily walks, doggy daycare once a week, and they also watched our 8 month old puppy when we were out of town for a week. They sent daily pictures and videos so that we knew our puppy was having a good time. Honestly, I think our puppy would rather live with his friends from Peticular Charm than us!
We met Chris while he was out walking one of his clients and enjoyed talking with him so much, we decided he would be our new dog walker. He is reliable and wonderful with our scaredy-pup. I've recommended him to our neighbors and friends, and we rest easy when we leave town knowing Chris is looking in on our pup.

We have an indoor/outdoor cat and a couple times a year we go on a weekend trip. C-PUP has always provided great service for our critter and has always been there, even on short notice. They feed our cat, top off or change the water, clean the litter, give some pets and playtime, email us a picture of our cat, and bring our mail and packages inside once a day. They've taken care of our cat when we decided to leave her in the house or outside. They have also kept our garden alive during summer trips by watering for a little extra charge. I would highly recommend C-PUP! We have used their services a couple times a year for the past 5 years or so.
We've been working with C-PUP for dog walking and dog sitting for over a year now. If you are looking for a walker or in-home sitting service, I'll assume that your fur family members are incredibly important to you and you want to make sure they are getting the best care possible. C-PUP provides just that. They are incredibly professional, well-organize, thorough and meticulous when it comes to understanding what your pet needs for care. We have three dogs of various ages, including a senior dog that requires extra-special care and C-PUP is incredibly attentive to all of their different needs. All of her staff have been generous, patient, lovely people who treat us (humans and pets) with great care! A detailed report card is left at each visit outlining the activities our dogs performed, their affect, and notes on the overall visit. We have traveled and used C-PUP for home stays and also as a dog walking service. Our dogs have become so familiar with C-PUP staff that it's as if another family member is with them. Wonderful, wonderful people and service. I can't say enough good things about Shannon and C-PUP! I recommend them to anyone and everyone expressing an interest in pet services. C-Pup is fantastic! We had someone stay overnight with our pets while we were gone and she did a great job. Typically when I go away I worry about our pets, but with C-Pup we got frequent updates and I knew they were in good hands. When we arrived home our cats and dogs were well-adjusted and excited to see us. I can't imagine going on vacation and having anyone else stay with our pets. I highly recommend C-Pup.
The team at C-PUP has been taking care of my Golden Retriever, Breeze since we brought her home 4 years ago. While my husband and I worked in full-time jobs during the day, we had multiple scheduled walks for her energy level. During that time, Breeze was so well cared for and loved, just as we would have done if we were there. As I transitioned to full-time work from home, I now call on C-PUP for our overnight sitting needs. When we go out of town, whoever stays with Breeze loves her just as much as we do. They provide detailed notes, pictures/updates and take care of any worries we have while we're away. I would recommend any of their services if you wish for your pet to receive the highest quality of care when you can't do it yourself!
We've been using C-PUP to look after our cats for several years, and we've always had an outstanding experience. We get email updates once or twice while we're away. We arrive home to find a written daily log of feeding, meds, visits, etc. I can recommend them without hesitation.
We’ve used these guys for playgroup for playgroup and boarding for at least 4 years, they’re great! All the benefits of a dog park without the risks (they ensure dogs don’t get rough and require vaccines). Excellent communication all around. Obviously some (curmudgeon) neighbors don’t like the business being in their neighborhood and have left bad reviews, but anyone who has actually used the business loves what they do for our babies! My dogs get so excited when they see the pickup van!
Our 1 year old lab shepherd mix cannot get enough of One Leg Up! He gets excited as soon as “I say let’s go see Kiki”. He comes home exercised, socialized, and the best part they do pick up and drop off! They also send updates throughout the day. The staff is amazing. The prices are reasonable and I don’t know if I would have survived the last year of puppy hood without them. Thank you so much for taking care of our sweet boy 😊 we love One Leg Up!
All im going to say is who ever that person asking if the reviews are fake not only that but I think its worse like their deleting and adding things on Google reviews but just wanted to say from experience I never thought I could say I'm going to be sick to my core and beyond my grave about a dog daycare and I've seen far to much
This is an update to my review that I left 7 months ago. When I first wrote my review for One Leg Up Dog Walking, I had only been using the service for a week. It's now been 7 months and my expectations have absolutely been exceeded. They are ALWAYS there for us, no matter what our request is. Once we had a medical emergency which got us stuck for two days out of state and couldn't come home - One Leg Up was able to send staff over to my house for full boarding care for our two dogs and two cats. Sometimes I get stuck at work and need the dogs to be let out of their kennels and get some attention for 30 minutes - One Leg Up has never denied us of a request. The most recent request we just put in was for 8 days of boarding card on Christmas all through the New Year. We know everyone has plans on these holidays and it's a lot to ask anyone to stay at our house to take care of our animals, but One Leg Up was able to do it! So now we can go on vacation without worrying about the welfare of our precious babies. They are the best dog walking/sitting service I have ever used, and I've used about 10 different companies in the DC Metro area. I have only been using One Leg Up Walking for a week, but so far my expectations have been exceeded. Our walker (Kim) is on time, friendly and reliable. The part I like the best about their business is the communication system. Their app, "Time to Pet," notifies me when the walker has started the walk, shows me a map of where they walked around the neighborhood, and sends me a picture of the dogs after each walk with a progress report, which I love!!
I have been using One Leg up Pets for nearly 15 years. Krissy and her crew are reliable, friendly and compassionate. My dogs join the playgroup often and always leave eagerly when they go and come home happy.
They definitely live up to their very strong reputation. We have used multiple services, and are impressed with the exceptionally high quality of care our dog has received. The value of knowing that she is given the affection, attention, and exercise she needs is well worth the cost.
Our rescue Hound/Lab/Pitt mix, Georgie Girl, has been a happy camper at One Leg Up for years now. She watches at our front window for the van to pick her up, and wags her tail all the way to the vehicle. She comes home happy, healthy, and very tired from all the playing. Georgie loves Chrissy and her staff (and will miss Bryan forever). I highly recommend One Leg Up!
We have been using Krissy and her service since we adopted our first rescue four years ago (we now have two), for walks, playgroup (they pick up and return them if you are in service area), and for boarding. They are communicative via an easy to use app with daily pics, videos, times and maps of waljs, etc. Although her staff can be young, Krissy is exceptionally diligent and experienced and keeps a close eye on everything. We trust her with our precious girls 100%.
Krissy and her team took wonderful care of my dog, Inde. He loved going to playgroups and seeing all his buddies. He was a high energy boy so their pickup service made things much easier for me and he was tired and happy when he got home. He was with OLU for most of his 15+ years and they were one of the reasons he lived so long. OLU was much better than going to the dog park because they know the dogs and keep them out of trouble. OLU also does field trips to Rock Creek Park and other fun places. They provided great boarding services also. Recommend them highly.
Love this service! One leg up folks come and pick up the pup during busy work days. They take him for playgroup sessions or just a walk. Such a great idea, especially if you have a young pup like mine who never seems to tire. They are flexible with booking and send lots of pictures and updates. Highly recommend!
We recently boarded our dog at Fuzzy Critters for a week, and she absolutely loved it! The boarding stay was incredibly caring and attentive, providing regular updates that put us at ease. Our dog came home happy and well taken care of, clearly having enjoyed her stay. We couldn’t be more pleased with the experience—highly recommend Fuzzy Critters!
Fuzzy Critters has been a life saver! Our dog Maple absolutely loves going there. She starts whimpering when she realizes we are getting close and then bounds out of the car to run into Jessica's yard, leaving me in the dust. She loves hanging out with all the other doggies and still being in a home environment with access to the outside. Highly recommend!
Jessica is an amazing person who really cares about the dogs who are staying with her. Our Pepper (pit/lab mix) had a great time with Jessica. Pepper stayed for a week and every time we walk past Jessica's house, she tries to get me to let her go say hello to Jessica and her dogs. I started taking my dog, Missy, here during the pandemic and she LOVES it. Whenever we get close to the house, Missy starts jumping and getting super excited and almost busts out of the car door! I love leaving her with Jess because they treat Missy like one of their own furry family members with cuddles and playtime - and that means a lot to me.

My Suki is a covid pup who was accustomed to having attention 24/7, so when my husband and I were both pulled back into the office I knew I had to find a reliable dog walker. I spent ages combing through all the various services and Rovers in my area, and I'm SO glad I finally found Baby Got Bark. Claire was incredibly responsive when I sent the initial interest email, and she sent our walker, Jules, out to meet us the next week. We knew it was true love when Jules walked in and said "That dog is a HYENA and hyenas are my favorite animal". Most people call her a tiger, but she is clearly a hyena. Jules has come to walk my pup three days a week for the past few months, and we couldn't be happier. Based on the photos Jules sends after every walk, it is very clear that Suki has a new best friend. Jules is quick to send an update after each walk, and is very responsive to communication in the Portal - even for unrelated tasks I forgot in the morning rush, like taking the blanket off the bed so Suki can't destroy it, as she is prone to do... Claire accepts my walk requests immediately, and the price is lower than anything else I was considering. We're so relieved to know Suki is taken care of and happy while we're at work. We love Baby Got Bark, and will be customers for many many years.
Baby Got Bark Pet Services is great. They are highly reliable and take care of our two dogs like their own. I have complete trust in them. Claire leads an excellent team, and Juan does a fantastic job walking our dogs and ensuring excellent communication. I highly recommend Baby Got Bark if you are looking for dog walking/care services!

Our dog loves the care she gets from Baby Got Bark! While a very loving dog, she is also a high-needs pet (meds administered before meals, not good on a leash). Our sitter has been very patient and follows instructions (which is important). Our dog now greets him like an old friend when he comes to take care of her. Claire and her team have been incredible! I hired Baby Got Bark (BGB) because I wanted a professional dog walker that knew dog behavior to walk my baby on a daily basis. A week after I hired BGB, I went out of the country for a vacation. I had a friend’s daughter stay with my dog during this time. However, I saw on my cameras how she was not taking care of my dog. I got in contact with Claire immediately and told her the situation. She responded to me immediately and was able to have one of her staff (Ashley) take over for overnight stays after I asked my friend’s daughter to leave my house. Claire was understanding and so responsive and immediately went over to my house the next day and changed over my apartment in preparation for Ashley to stay there (changing bed sheets, putting out fresh towels, etc.). Claire took my dog in a long walk and made sure she ate something! (My dog had not eaten in four days when my friend’s daughter as watching her.) When I returned home, I met Ashley, who is amazing! Super nice and kind! My dog LOVES Ashley and gets just as excited to see her as she is with me! Claire and her team at Baby Got Bark have been incredible! I highly recommend them to anyone that needs dog walking or overnight services. They are amazing!!!
We love Baby Got Bark for our dog! She really loves her walker, and it definitely makes her a happier dog! They are very accommodating and we love receiving the messages and pictures after every walk.
This review is LONG overdue, but I truly cannot say enough positive things about The Dog Stay! The new(ish) owners are caring, compassionate, and have made significant improvements to ensure the dogs' comfort and safety. My dog (a greyhound) has paper thin skin and is therefore prone to injury (just by being a dog), but the staff has gone above and beyond to keep her happy and safe. They do regular wellness checks of all the dogs and take safety incredibly seriously. As I am a frequent traveler, this gives me peace of mind while away-- I know my pup is in the best of hands. She looks forward to daycare, loves the humans who look after her, and is a tired happy dog when I pick her up. Thank you to the team at the Dog Stay for caring for my dog like family!
We used to live getting our dog groomed here unfortunately they lost their groomer ( Aaron), who was phenomenal. I’ve never had anyone do such a good cut on my dog and my dog loved him. The current groomer is very nice, but (I hate to say this) is not good. We tried giving the new groomer a couple of tries but each time the cut is terrible even with detailed instructions. Please bring Aaron back!
We’ve been taking our dog here for almost two years and our experience has been great. He loves going there and will regularly try to herd us out the door in the morning to take him. The staff is very friendly and clearly care about the dogs. It has outdoor space for the dogs to run around, which is great and not something the first daycare we tried had. Highly recommend.
My dog absolutely LOVES going to the Dog Stay. She has some separation anxiety and doesn’t even look back at me once we walk in. The staff is incredible and its so great having a place I can drop my dog off for a day of fun and know she’ll come home happy and tired.
By far the best dog daycare experience we have ever had! Our dog Charlie has been going to Dog Stay for day care and boarding for over three years and we never have to worry about her while she’s there. We loved the previous owners and were apprehensive about someone else taking over… but Ben and Carla have not only maintained the quality of care but made deliberate and transparent efforts to improve everything about the experience. We especially love the personable staff who clearly care about each dog. Charlie loves it there!
I frequently bring my dog to daycare at the Dog Stay. When we pull up in the parking lot he gets very excited and starts yelping. He then pulls me to the front door and happily runs down the hall to join the other dogs. When I pick him up he’s happy to see me, but not quite sure he wants to leave. I’m so glad we have the Dog Stay!
My dogs have been going to The Dog Stay for over 3 years and they love it! The staff take special care of each dog and remember the important details about your pack. The staff are friendly and professional. They have an online system for booking which is so easy to use and their prices to use. Most importantly, I am certain that my pups are loved, cared for, and looked after when I am gone or when I need to send them to daycare for a day. We use the dog stay for grooming and LOVE it! They are so thoughtful and kind and we’re always impressed with the results. They also sent us an adorable photo of our groomed pup this last holiday. We haven’t used the boarding services, but they are so communicative about safety practices, cleaning practices, and prioritizing dog safety! Highly recommend
I love this place! The people are very friendly and attentive. They love my dog almost as much as I do. The in-house groomer is excellent. When making a reservation, you can specify your dog's needs and expect them to be met. I've used their boarding services twice since joining after New Year, and I haven't had to worry about my dog's well-being while traveling.
I took my dog here today to get his nails trimmed, and they did a good job, but really I am leaving this review because Imani - the person who works the front desk - was so helpful and accommodating and delightful! I hope the folks who run this place know what a valuable employee they have in Imani!!
Danny's Pet Care has been walking my dogs since I moved to Brookland in 2015. I cannot say enough about the personalized care and communication of my pets. Danny has always been great about accommodating changes to my schedule, and I appreciate them beyond what I can say in this review. The team at Danny's Pet Care has taken wonderful care of our cat Solo for 11 years, and our second cat Chapati during the latter half of that time. Throughout, Kathy, Elise, and Danny have provided trusted care during our many frequent weekend trips and vacations. They are timely, accessible, and provide great updates on the cats to this obsessive cat mom. Easy to schedule, and responsive with communication. Totally trusted - they've had our keys since 2012. Danny's Pet Care did an amazing job taking care of our 2 cats whenever we needed to be out of town! They were reliable, consistent, responsive, and comparably affordable. After several disappointing attempts to use Rover to find care for our pets, switching to Danny's Pet Care was such a great experience. 10/10 would recommend this service!
Danny walked our senior girl for her last year and he was very sweet with her. He's clearly very comfortable managing all sorts of dogs and combinations of dogs. It made me happy thinking her having a little social life with neighborhood doggies during the week. Danny was also extremely flexible and accommodating with my frequently changing schedule. When we get a new dog we will have Danny walk them too.
Elise is so wonderful with our kitties. It is amazing to know they are in good hands when we are out of town - she's a great communicator, incredibly sweet, and responsible!
We have been using Danny’s Pet Care for the last 4 years- they are amazing! We are very happy with the care they provide to our 2 dogs. The dogs love their regular daily dogwalker who also occasionally dog sits when we’re out of town- we trust him completely and know our dogs are in good hands! We used Danny’s pet services for our first dog +7yrs ago, and now more recently with our second dog! We trust him and his dog walkers completely, they are all wonderful people who have been helping us raise our dogs and treat them with care as is their very own.
We've been clients of Danny's Pet Care for almost three years. We are super happy with our walker who knows our dog really well and cares for him like he is her own. The walks are long and are great opportunities for socialization if your dog is up for that. Danny is always communicative about holidays and breaks and we're super pleased!
Danny's Pet Care is wonderful! Elise has taken superb care of my cat as I've traveled for short and long trips over the past few years. Communication is superb and consistent and it is a huge relief knowing that my cat is in safe, responsible, and caring hands when I am away. I know he's getting plenty of brushing, treats, and play time in addition to basic food & water care.
Danny is truly the best. He has been our cat sitter for a little over a year now and has been nothing but kind and easy to work with. He always goes above and beyond to make sure our cat has what he needs and any accidents have been taken care of. We cannot recommend Danny enough.
