We have only great things to say about Hamish and Katya. They took care and won the affection of our challenging little dog, did a great job with our house, and were great communicators before, during and after their stay. You'll be fortunate to have them in your home!
Tanja did a 3 weeks house sit for us. Tanja is a very friendly and polied person. Tanja did her job excellent. Our 3 hunting dogs Bruno, Paul and Paula loved Tanja from the beginning. Tanja kept us updated all the time. That kept us very relaxed during our absence. After our return we found our house in a very good condition. The dogs missed her after she had left. We would engage Tanja again at any time. Thank you very much, Tanja!
Overall, our home and the duties that were left for our house sitters were taken care of. We spent time going over the responsibilities in person with them prior to leaving for our trip and left written detailed instructions for them as well. On day 2 of our trip, all of our cats (6) escaped their enclosure and Miranda and Sunny quickly got 4 of them back inside and secured the enclosure so they could escape again. Over the next week or so, they were able to wrangle the last 2 cats and equally secured them back without incident. We were a bit surprised to see that the quite a few of our outdoor plants had died (we do know that there was a tremendous amount of watering responsibilities due to the extreme drought), our hummingbird feeders all had mold, and the house needed cleaning more than we were expecting. Our previous house sitters have all laundered their bedding and towels and had the rooms back in order prior to our arrival home. We definitely found both Miranda and Sunny to be incredibly sweet and caring people. They left our kitchen in good order and they did clean certain areas. They equally left us flowers and cupcakes for our arrival home and that was very thoughtful.
