We had a happy and fun long weekend filled with muddy long walks in the company of Zig Zag, Tango, Noodle and Jumbo. All big personalities, so affectionate and well-behaved - a gorgeous little pet-family - we're really missing them now home!

It was a real treat to stay in this characterful, spacious and comfortable home with such colourful and happy vibes. My six-year-old stepdaughter was especially delighted with the magical children's bedroom she stayed in, that the family has created for their youngest daughter.

A tip for future sitters - do visit the Hawk Conservancy Trust just down the road, it's an important and special place. (No dogs allowed of course, but the gang will forgive you if you take them on a beautiful big, long walk before your visit!)

Thanks so much to Tiff for inviting us.

Lorraine
One of our favourite sits on a year-long house and pet sitting journey across four countries.
Lorraine and Col Steve were so welcoming. Fell in love with Hector and Gaston, their dog and cat.
A lovely warm country home with loads of atmosphere. The entire Normandy coastline and surrounds were amazing to explore. An ideal home to sit....five stars on all fronts.
PS We visited again many months later because they are such nice people!

Amy
Amy has a lovely family home in South East London with a charming, independent cat called Salvador. Salvador was very easy to look after and spent the majority of his day roaming around their delightful garden. I would highly recommend this sit to anyone! Thank you Amy.

We absolutely loved this sit! James and M are two super cute dogs, funny, sweet and playful, easy to love and take care of. We really enjoyed walking and cuddling them. We also had a few day-trips and everything went ok as they are very well-behaved on public transportation.
The apartment is big, comfortable and well connected to the city center, so we couldn’t ask for more. Last but not least, Leisl and Adam are as lovely as their pets! It was a pleasure to meet them and have a few nice chats before and after our sit. We highly recommend them all, dogs and humans, and hope to meet them again in the future!

Paula
Paula and Harry are a wonderful house sit! Paula is generous and kind and Harry is very funny, full of character and affectionate.

Paula’s house is in a great location. It is only a mile and a half from the town centre but you wouldn’t know it as her cul-de-sac is very quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of shops, food options and supermarkets nearby. Paula’s neighbours were also very friendly towards us, looking after the key for Paula as we were delayed. They made sure to let us know to get in touch if we needed any help. Paula’s house is a very good base to explore Wiltshire’s famous attractions like Avebury, Stonehenge, Sillbury Hill, the white chalk horses etc.

Prior to the sit Marcus and I had great communication with Paula with a couple of video calls beforehand (as we booked the sit quite far in advance). We had a video tour of the house with explanations about how things worked and different processes. While Paula was away she kept in regular contact with us via WhatsApp. She never at any point made us feel as though it was a bother getting in touch or asking her any questions. She checked in with us regularly to make sure we were okay and to keep us updated on when she would be in and out of phone service (as she was away on a cruise). It felt more like messaging a family member as we exchanged holiday photos with each other.

The house was well prepared for us when we arrived. Clean sheets were on the beds with spares available in each room in case we needed them and plenty of fresh towels. Paula had made the fire up and ensured that there were plenty of materials for us to use during our stay. Paula had kindly (and without us expecting it) prepared the hot tub for us to use. It was a fantastic element of the stay for us with two young children. They thought it was brilliant and used it nearly every day in Paula’s lovely large and enclosed garden. Paula was kind enough to share the blueberries off her very fruitful blueberry bush so my son went out each morning to pick some (and occasionally to give marching orders to a cheeky blackbird).

Now… last but by no means least… the gentleman of the house… Harry. What a sweet sweet kitty. Very easy to care for. Independent but present. He never made us feel worried about him as he regularly came and went through his cat flap so we always knew he was around. There were obvious places to find him if we ever wanted to check on him but he was always around for feeding times and had plenty of strokes, cuddles, lap snoozes etc etc! He really got to know us and us him. I’ll miss him hanging out with me while I hang up my washing and for my partner Harry sitting on his lap while he works on his laptop during the day. He loves a treat and his food but is by no means a greedy cat.

We’ll definitely stay again in the future (after we have completed our up coming house move… gulp! Haha).

Thank you Paula and Harry for a wonderful two weeks in Devizes. ❤️

Elizabeth
Thank you Elizabeth and Markus for trusting us to take care of Oliver and Lola. We had a great time in Dusseldorf and couldn't have found a better place to stay over the holiday season.

The apartment is beautiful and well located, close to shops, supermarkets and tram stations. We had two video calls before the sitting and we could understand how everything should work. All information was always very clear and we had great communication during the period they were away.

Oliver and Lola are so kind and companionable. From the beginning Oliver was more relaxed about our presence and received us with great enthusiasm. It took Lola a few more days to trust us, and then she loved being around us relaxing on the couch. In the morning Oliver always came to say good morning to us in bed and rub our ears. They both love the dry chicken snack and Oliver in particular will always ask for more hahaha

We had lovely days with lots of cuddles on these two beautiful furballs and we'll always remember them fondly.
If you have the chance to take care of them we highly recommend it.

Thanks again Elizabeth and Markus, we wish you all the best. ❤️
