I had the privilege of having Pamela and her son Isiah house sit for us in December of 2017. They had the responsibility of caring for two horses, one donkey, two dogs and two cats. Communication was excellent from start to finish. Pamela gave me daily photos and updates of my animals. You can tell by the pictures and the excitement in her texting that my animals were well taking care of. They were spoiled as far as daily walks, brushings and lots of cuddling. I came home to a clean and tidy house, not to mention a nice pot of homemade chili that was a joyful surprise to have after a long day of traveling. Pamela and her son Isiah were a complete delight to have as our house sitter. As you can see I highly recommend them to anyone as a five star sitter.
This was a couple/family. That was absolutely delightful to work with. I would not only invite them back to my home to pet sit but also if they were in the area, I would welcome them to contact me if they needed a place to stay. They were kind, they were tidy, they were proactive and loving toward the dogs always thinking about what they could do, above and beyond. They took care of my home, as well as or better than I do myself and I never had any concerns. My dogs are very needy, they are loving, but very very wanting of attention and affection, and this family did not seem to mind at all and lavished them with everything that they could possibly want. I can't say enough good about this whole family, and I would highly recommend them, and definitely offer them the opportunity first again in the future any time they are in the area.
This was my first time doing an in house sit so I was nervous but Jessica was great! I knew immediately after meeting her that she would take great care of my dogs. Both dogs warmed up to her quickly and I really appreciated the updates I received while I was away. Both dogs were happy and relaxed once I returned from my trip!
For me, the first night staying in someone else's home is awkward because I don't know the people or the home. However, Steve and Susan are kind and easy to be around so the evening with them was the best "first night" of all my sits. Their home is tastefully decorated, tidy and streamlined. The vista from the main living spaces includes an expansive juniper-covered plain with views of Three Sisters and other mountains in the distance. The spacious neighborhood is quiet with easy, paved walking trails right out the door. All that soothing acreage and Costco, Safeway and Whole Foods is only fifteen minutes away. Kitty is a delightful old soul of a cat. He is such a gentleman. After a decade or so being an outdoor stray, he seems quite content being an indoor cat now. What a sweet fellow and so eager to follow human instructions about not scratching on furniture. Thank you Susan and Steve for inviting me! It was a true pleasure.
