Billy and Louie are just the sweetest dogs. They are very easy to take care of, as long as you give them the attention they deserve. It was hard to say goodbye to them when we left! Kat and Brooke were great hosts since they provided us all the information we needed and they were always available. They have an amazing home that is comfortable and very modern. The house is close to parks and is in a nice neighborhood. They are a beautiful family and we miss the experience already ♥️
This was a wonderful sit! When we arrived Brett and Jenn greeted us as if we were old friends. We had a fantastic day with them before they departed on their European adventure. It was a very high priority for them to ensure that we would have a wonderful experience staying in their home in this unique part of Australia. Besides comprehensively covering looking after their pets, they took time to show us around the area, from where to shop, to the local sights. The pets! Maddie is a senior lady, happy to lie around most of the time, then completely surprising us by loving a walk so much. Teddy is the other end of the age spectrum, he is a non stop energetic little boy, and a great soccer player. We had so much fun with these two, and they are very easy to look after. Local sights! Location, location, location! This area is fantastic, really beautiful beaches and boardwalks along the shore line, all set in a rugged coastline, great walks in the early mornings. The little seaside town Huskisson has lots of nice restaurants and cafes for the evenings. We had a wonderful time, we loved this sit, and so will you.
We had a fantastic time in Megeve! First off: Monty is super sweet and easy going, a great communicator, and really well-behaved. He's smart and loves to go on walks but is also relaxed and can be left alone for a while, which gave us time to explore the area. Giving him his arthritis medicine each morning was very simple, and despite his endearing fear of other dogs, we had no problem managing when walking around. We really had so much fun with him! Paul and Kate were so friendly, funny and accomodating! They invited us for dinner the first night we met and drove us from and to the train station - which we greatly appreciated! We also had the chance to spend some quality time with them which resulted in hilarious storytelling. Their chalet in Megeve is an amazing place to stay, especially if you love the mountains! It's laid out very well and has everything you need, including two terraces with stunning mountain views. The walk into town takes about 10 minutes, and there's amazing access to ski areas and the most beautiful hiking trails you can enjoy year round. Every hike we were on was phenomenal with almost constant views of Mont Blanc. We were very grateful to have this special opportunity to take care of Monty and hang out at K2 Chalet! Thank you, Paul and Kate!
Dean's home was fantastic. He left clear and helpful instructions, and was very welcoming. His pet, Olivia, was wonderful, and we enjoyed spending time with her indoors and on the patio. She is quite independent and was easy to care for. Dean's home is also lovely, with a great outdoor space the contains an excellent garden. Highly recommend Dean as a host.
We had such a great weekend looking after Fred. As described in Kate's listing, Fred (the girl), is a lovely ginger cat - and probably the softest cat we've ever had the pleasure of petting (no, seriously, sooo soft!). Handover was seamless, with Kate giving a tour and going through the how-to's of the alarm (which was super simple). Fred spent most of her time chilling on Kate’s desk, initially a little apprehensive about us the first night. By the second/last night she was a lap cat on the sofa and snuggling up in bed with us. The flat is a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants of Radlett and very convenient for the train station, meaning St Albans and London are within easy reach. It was a pleasure to housesit for Kate and care for Fred and we hope to do so again.
Petrina and James are one of the most lovely and interesting couples we have met. They both went above and beyond to make us feel at home with Petrina cooking a delicious dinner for us on the night we arrived. The three scamps Nelson Bumble and Toffee are great companions and love their daily walk in Pittville Park and a snuggle up with you on an evening. A beautiful house in a great area and wonderful pet parents.
