Sitting for Soxy in David and Stacia's lovely home was such a pleasure! David's warmth and humor was apparent in our first phone conversation and I knew this was going to be a fun and easy sit. He and Stacia left clear instructions for me and expressed a sincere desire for my comfort and pleasure in sharing their home. They also shared tips on Soxy's personality and how best to approach her. Soxy, who is sensitive and shy at first, has several secret hiding places (hint: her favorite is a tented princess seat in a downstairs bedroom). She responds best to gentleness and quietness, but once she gets to know you (especially as a waitress and beautician) she is quite friendly and affectionate! We spent some lovely afternoons on the sunny deck: brushing her long hair and listening to bird songs. David and Stacia are relaxed, gracious, and caring people. Their home is beautiful and well appointed with a cook's kitchen, very comfortable guest room bed and bath, and easy access to the Bay Area's delights. The only drawback is that you may not want to leave their house to see those sights. Like Soxy and me, you may find yourself blissfully content gazing out over the world below you.
Really lovely house sit, both Charlie and Sky were great dogs. Lovely walks surrounding the house and farm shop! Sally was also really helpful when we arrived and throughout the weekend.
Alan and Judy were wonderful to sit for, they were very clear and detailed in their requirements for their little furry Tyler and Skylar.....we enjoyed our walks and cuddles with the dogs and we enjoyed Alan and Judy's beautiful home and the amazing Kelowna! We would gladly dog sit for Judy and Alan again!
Lauren was really lovely and accommodating from our initial conversation and we couldn't be happier to have met her. She has a beautiful home and lovely surrounding area. We will be staying in touch. The real stars of the show were of course Molly and Ruby 😍 both absolutely fantastic girls with great personalities. Ruby was my shadow wherever I went in the house. Molly was a bit more independent but likes to make herself heard. Both dogs have their quirks that make them even more adorable, Ruby often didn't eat her dinner until we sat down to eat ours and Molly would let us know when her walk was over! We miss them a lot already, especially all the cuddles! Will definitely be back.
Roz and Ray were friendly and welcomed us into their home with ease. Their communication was prompt and consistent prior, during and after the sit. Roz and Ray stayed with us for the first night of the sit making sure we were familiarised and comfortable with the routine and care of their dogs. Both Vala and Teal’c were calm, friendly dogs, even winning over the heart of our very nervous 2 year old. The house was clean and well organised with a big outdoor area making our stay very comfortable. Located walking distance to the local playground and beach it made for a relaxing and enjoyable week for the whole family.
My son, mom and I stayed at Ed and Melissa's house with Stuart and had a great time. Stuart kept to himself mostly during the days but liked to snuggle and sleep with us in the evenings. I was in contact with Melissa and she is a great communicator in every sense. She gave a great and through virtual tour before we arrived and was quick to respond to anything that arose while we were on the sit. Their home is very comfortable in a great location directly across the street from an awesome park.
