Dog Sitters in Laurel Hollow, NY

I think my cats really liked Catarina and Remi, evident from the timely updates and photos. I initially had trepidations about my long haired cat Clementine, who is prone to mats in her fur, especially when I am gone for 4 weeks. No problem! She was in fabulous shape when I returned, not a single mat to be seen. I was so happy. House sitting can be harder than one might imagine. And mine is a large house, where many rooms are lived in in the course of a month, with two people and four cats. I think this was the first long sit for Catarina and Remi, and perhaps they aren’t often guests in peoples homes for weeks at a time. I arrived home to weeks of dirty towels to be laundered, and dirty linens still on the bed. Yikes! Towards the end of the sit, they’d requested (at their expense) a housekeeper to clean after they left and before I arrived home. And that was good. As scheduling and last minute plans happen, it was I who arrived first, ahead of the housekeeper. And I was glad they’d seen that they needed help. It’s a chore and you have to stay on top of it. Bathrooms, kitchen, it’s a lot to tend to. I’ve only recently discovered the forums, and I’m sure one can find lots of info on what homeowners expect upon return. My month out of the country was made easier with timely updates and happy and clean cats when I came home. Catarina was very intuitive and gave me a heads up on my senior kitty who’s hair had become quite oily, and I appreciate that. Great cat care.

Grace was great! She took great care of my 3 pets and my home. I would be happy to welcome her back again!

We can’t say enough positive things about Zoe and Windsor. Charlee loved them and we felt so comfortable leaving our home in their care. We came back to a house in better shape than when we left, delicious double chocolate chip cookies and a calm Charlee! Amazing! Highly recommend!

Adrienne and Chris are fantastic sitters. One of our cats was ill during their stay. It was so reassuring to have such knowledgeable and experienced cat people to care for him. They took him to the vet, and kept in communication with us throughout. They were able to administer medication, and assess and report on his condition to us. We came home to a happy cat who was well of his way to restored health. And all the while, our other two received the attention and care that they needed. Our house was treated with respect. All was neat and tidy upon our return. We are immensely grateful to Adrienne and Chris for an above and beyond job well done. They are highly recommended!

Meg and Kerry are fantastic sitters! They both were very thorough and detail-oriented. My dog loved them and they took care of her so well. They left my apartment very clean and even left a card with a drawing of my dog. I highly recommend them!

Kathryn did a great job with our 3 dogs and house. We appreciate her showing up for a last minute sit and would invite her to sit for us again.

I had the pleasure of having Brandon and Maya watch over my dogs while I was away, and I couldn't be happier with the care they provided. WINNER! I am delighted to write about Maryam's time taking care of my high-energy Bichon and my apartment. She came a day early to meet us and for a walk-through of the building and pet areas. As I gave even more directions, she listened carefully and respectfully, though I'm sure I over-directed. As she sat in my apartment I was delighted to see that my pup really liked her. Upon arrival for the sit she helped me get my stuff into a car and took over the dog. We agreed upon a time for contact each day and she held to it with got pictures and updates. When I got home it was to find my apartment spotless, tidy with the bed made and all my stuff in place as I had left it. She left a sweet note and lovely flowers which were a delight for my travel-weary eyes. I liked everything she did so much that I have already invited her for another, longer sit. You won't be making a mistake if she sits for you and your petl.

Susana is an amazing young woman who took care of our pup and home wonderfully well. She and her very sweet dog, Cleo, took the best care of our puppy. She send wonderful photos daily! The house was immaculate and well cared for as well. Susana has our highest recommendation!

Maryna was an excellent pet sitter and houseguest! Communicating with her was easy, and she always responded to my messages quickly. She was also incredibly self-sufficient! Moreover, Maryna graciously agreed to check on my neighbor's cat for a couple of days as well. My dog bonded with her quickly and was happy and healthy when I returned. The house was also spotless. I would happily have Maryna sit for me again!

Caoimhe was a pleasure - she asked a lot of thoughtful questions on cat care, was super self-sufficient, and was generally a joy to get to know. I came home to a tidy apartment and a happy cat, which made being away so much easier :)

Billie was a great sitter for my 7-lbs puppy! She was very organized and communicated very well throughout the process. She’s able to supply you with references as well. She did a good job checking in and out and was very self-sufficient. She followed all house rules and was very respectful. I would hire her again!
