We were so fortunate to have Jennifer sit for us after last minute plans made us realize we could not take our dogs with us. Due to the last minute nature, she was available immediately for a zoom call and all further communication was promptly attended to, which we greatly appreciated. Our dogs benefitted from endless games of fetch in the backyard that Jennifer provided them and they received lots of love in her care. We are very thankful Jennifer was available for our needs and would not hesitate to use her again, should the opportunity arise again!
Jeff and Kelly were first-rate sitters for our cat, Tinker. They were staying nearby and came to meet us and Tinker at our home before the sit so we could all meet. Tinker took to them right away. Every day Kelly texted me with an update and pictures of Tink so we knew that he was being well taken care of and enjoying their company. At the end of the sit, they left before we arrived home. Our home was clean, and the sheets and towels were all washed and replaced on the bed. They even left us a note and some candy when they left. We and Tink would welcome them back any time they can come to the East coast again. Thanks, Jeff and Kelly!
Lucy and Rob were so warm, friendly and helpful. We immediately felt comfortable and confident that we knew what to do for Guga and Mocha. We had such an enjoyable week with Guga and Mocha - they were so affectionate and easy to love and care for. Indeed, we are missing them! This housesit was brilliant in every respect and we would love to go back one day.
This was Sara’s first experience using THS, she was easy to communicate with, provided a thorough welcome guide and arranged for key pick up when a physical handover wasn’t possible. Bailey is such a friendly dog who we took to from the moment we met her. She was great company, well behaved, easy to walk, snuggles close for the evening and rocks her waterproof jacket which was sadly needed during our stay in rainy London. Being a Beagle she is very scent driven so caution needed when out and about and in the kitchen. The flat in the Chelsea area of London is surrounded by everything you might need, easy transport links and short walking distance to one of London’s best green spaces – Hyde Park, Bailey’s favourite walking area. Thank you so much Sara for trusting us with your lovely flat and Bailey.
I had a wonderful time sitting for Andy and Debra. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had prior to the sit and very helpful in planning the trip to Scarborough (even kind enough to pick me up from the station). Any information about the house and dogs were clearly laid out and left for me to follow. Their dogs, Winnie and Bella, are beautifully natured and a pleasure to care for. I loved taking them on walks through the gorgeous ravine and hanging out with them at the house! Thank you Andy for being so accomodating and making me feel welcome in your home.
A totally perfect sit! The house was wonderful (well it does have a bit of the Norfolk Broads running through it) and the dogs were easy to look after and lots of fun. After looking after Crumpet Norfolk Terrires are now our favourite dog breed (sorry Labradors). Who said terriers are hard work? And Beamer was - well, a lovely Labrador (still our 2nd favourite breed). Maybe not as lively as she was when she was younger, but really enjoyed her walks - especially on the beach, where there was lots of water to splash around in. There is plenty to do in the local area and the Norfolk coast is only about 30 minutes away. Horsey Gap beach was full of seals, if that is your thing, the Blickling Estate is close by (NT) and there are some great walks around Coltishall - including a great one along the side of a narrow gage steam railway. If you like boating, there is a canoe you can use and some paddleboards - we were happier on the tennis court! Finally, a big thanks to Caroline and Matt, for being such lovely hosts and allowing us the full run of the house and gardens, including Caroline's wonderful fruit and veg garden.
Elizabeth is very communicative and a great host. The home is relatively spacious, in a great location, and peaceful with a lovely downstairs and backyard space. Poppy and Riley are the cutest duo and will make your heart melt. Poppy (cat) is extremely sweet. Riley (dog) can occasionally be difficult with letting you put her leash on but more than makes up for it with her adorableness. Would come back in a heartbeat and highly recommend to anyone else interested!
We had such a lovely time with Gypsy and Ramani 🤍 we already miss them!
