Mike and Una were so welcoming and considerate for this housesit. I felt completely at ease in their company and their home. Their little dog Mia was a joy to look after. She has a lovely temperament and loves sleeping under her blanket. It was great to see a different side of London especially one of the parks nearby from which you can see a great view of London. I would highly recommend this sit. I really enjoyed my stay and would be happy to to return again in the future. ☘️
I loved my stay with the four long nose dogs - two whippets and two bedlington whippets, all wonderfully affectionate and each with their own personality. Their home is comfy and beautiful and the dogs have a huge garden and field to explore and play in. Clair and Peter gave me great instructions and a lovely supper the evening before they left so we could go through the dog’s routine together and the dogs could get to know me before their folks went away.
I had a very short but wonderful sit looking after Beanie for Georgina. Beanie is adorable, very friendly and easy to look after, and quite a foodie! Georgina’s home is gorgeous and very conveniently located. Georgina was very helpful and welcoming throughout and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back for another sit!
We spent a fabulous week on this house sit with two very special dogs. Tinker and Mr Whippy were calm, happy, characterful dogs and just a delight to be around. There are good, quiet walks from the house which the dogs were keen to show us, with Tinker once or twice refusing to budge & choosing to stay home. Not a problem for her or us. Both walk well on a lead and Mr Whippy’s tracker gave added reassurance on the couple of times he went off exploring the woods close to the house. Unusually for us, we spent most time at the house & only took them in the car once (which went fine) - they’re clearly very happy to sleep and pootle in the gardens, especially with a juicy bone on the go. The dogs are affectionate, love company and were a joy to look after. The house & garden are truly amazing too. We were very comfortable in this family home, enjoying time sitting in the garden or kitchen whilst the dogs mooched. The ensuite guest room is a lovely sunny, quiet space and the whole house is modern and gorgeously appointed. Add to that a large garden with greenhouse and veg beds and why would you want to budge? However, we did on occasion and for that, Fiona gave helpful info on places to visit and where to eat etc. Our ‘don’t miss’ recommendations are the arboretum at Westonbirt and the small town of Nailsworth. Had we been able to get into Highgrove, I’m sure that’d top the list as we spoke with a number of people who’d been highly impressed by their recent visit. Maybe next time! The busy pub in Sherston was handy for a quick meal and the breakfasts and coffee at the Angel cafe in the village were good too. The co-op here is also well stocked. In all, we had a fantastic week with two lovely dogs in the gorgeous English countryside. Perfect!
Looking after George was an absolute pleasure. She’s very affectionate, loves a good head scratch and likes to explore the garden. Fiona and Nathan’s house is beautiful and set in a great location in Edinburgh, close to many cafés and great restaurants. Fiona was very welcoming and showed me around the house before the sit, and answered any questions I had during the sit itself. A big thank you to Fiona and her family for opening their home for me to help look after George (and generously offering whatever was in the pantry, and some delicious soft drinks left for me in the fridge). I’d love to sit for Fiona and Nathan again, and George was a joy to look after. I’ll definitely miss her cuddles!
Loved spending some time in this cozy mountain town! The kitty crew is so fun and you might never want to say goodbye to Petra! Hope to reunite with this fuzzy crew!
