Wendy was a very gracious an independent catsitter! She provided regular updates on my cat, and was able to accommodate some unusual constraints on my end. She coordinated proactively and asked clarifying questions, though I think she was quite jetlagged on her way in and juggling a lot and seemed a little overwhelmed. She also left the apartment in good condition and had some thoughtful little gifts for me and my cat. I'd definitely have Wendy back!
It was such a pleasure to house sit for Sarah and look after Bobo, Binky and Flash. Bobo is extremely affectionate, she often sat on my lap and followed me around. Binky and Flash are gorgeous, calm rabbits and enjoy being stroked. Sarah made a great effort to ensure I was comfortable and understood the running’s of the house. She provided an in-depth welcome guide and during the sit Sarah was always available on phone to answer any questions I had. The house and garden is spacious and immaculate. If you need to work remotely, there is a study room with a screen and all compatible laptop connecting wires. I was very grateful for this, as I was able to WFH comfortably. The area surrounding the house and garden is very quiet and peaceful - which can be rare in London. I thoroughly enjoyed the sit and thank Sarah for her kindness and communication :)
Nathan’s home in Port Angeles, Washington was a great place to do our house and pet sit. The house is nestled in a nice area set back from the road and surrounded by the trees and greenery that you see all over the areas around the Puget Sound. It is a short 15 minute drive to the entrance to Olympic National Park, and the road leading up to views of the snow-capped Olympic mountain range. It is also a short drive to the water of the Puget Sound, from where you can look across at Victoria, Vancouver Island, Canada. Nathan’s lovely dogs, Snuggle, Lily, and Danny, were so friendly and loved hanging out with us in the living room. They were easy to take care of and a joy to have around during our five night stay, from July 11-16, 2024. We felt totally comfortable and at home, even though we had never stayed in Port Angeles before. A wonderful couple of weeks in the countryside of East Sussex. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by Katherine & David. The four dogs were a pleasure to look after, all having their own very definite characters and a very well-tuned routine. Kira the cat slept most of the day, but did let us know when she wanted feeding or the occasional cuddle.
Staying at Samantha's place and sitting for Pooch was an immense pleasure. Pooch is a very shy guy, but after staying hidden for the first few days, curiosity got the best of him and he came to check me out. He was still reserved, but a sweet guy who does absolutely love to be brushed! Samantha was very easy to communicate with, her place is comfortable and quiet, and I loved being downtown Victoria where everything is so close by. It's a great sit, so please stay here with Pooch if you get the opportunity.
Dan and I had a wonderful time up in Estes with Toby! Joanie and Jim are lovely hosts and we were able to meet ahead of time so our dog Hugo could meet Toby. Toby is a treat! He is the friendliest boy and so well behaved. Toby and our dog Hugo got along super well and were quick to be good pals. When Toby is not hanging out in his beloved spot in the mulch outside napping, he loves to sit next to you and get all of the pets. He will sweetly let you know he wants some rubs by resting his head on your lap. Loves car rides too! He’s got a lot of energy at the beginning of walks and will try to pull but once he gets those initial sniffs in he will walk next to you. The house is lovely as well, with a beautiful back porch view of the mountains on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. A quick 5 min drive into town for groceries, coffee shops, and the great 4 mile walk around the lake. Thank you Joanie and Jim for having us come stay!
I had a wonderful time with Mia in Farnham. She is a very sweet and affectionate dog, and excellent company while I was working. Allison and Chris left thorough and useful instructions for Mia and the house, and I felt very welcomed. Farnham is a lovely town nearby, easily accessible by car or local bus service. We enjoyed many walks in nearby Frensham Little Pond and Alice Holt Forest.
