My stay with Maddie and Archer was wonderful. They are both super sweet dogs and great companions. The home is pleasant and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood with a large fenced in backyard where the dogs and I spent lots of time hanging out together. Maddie requires insulin shots twice a day which is something to be aware of and make sure you are comfortable with (or learn to get comfortable with it as I did). Beyond that they are super easy to care for and fun to be around.
This was my first stay through THS and it was absolutely wonderful! Sweetest dogs ever. Lambra was a gracious host with very detailed instructions. The dogs were ultimate cuddle buddies! Murph stayed right by my side the whole time and wouldn’t let me stop petting. Mollie had a cone which she didn’t love but was really good about taking her medicine and holding still when I had to readjust. Annie is very friendly and playful, Max did his own thing but let me play with him the one time he did come out of hiding. Overall a great experience!
Brent and Shelli have a lovely home in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and lots of space inside and out to enjoy. During the day The Girls like to be near you, getting pets and belly rubs or outside in the backyard. They enjoy their treats and are food motivated which was helpful when they are outside and decide to bark at squirrels or neighbor dogs. A few shakes of the treat jar would get their attention. There are numerous trails in the area for walking with Cricket and Whinni. (We often went to the trails at the Masonic Home nearby.) Both pups walk well on leash, although one does need to be aware of squirrels as both pups would like to chase or herd them. They are Aussies so it’s important that they get their energy release; we’d usually go for a couple of 30-40 minute walks a day plus their play time in the backyard. (We didn’t bring them to the dog park during our stay.) The Girls sleep in their kennels at night (and we kenneled them when we were gone for 1-2 hrs as well); they “kennel up” without any issues. They are good sleepers, going to their kennels around 10:00pm and waking up around 7:30-8:00am. Thanks for the opportunity to enjoy your home and love on your girls, Shelli and Brent!
What a wonderful house sit in a most beautiful part of the UK in the Peak District National Park. Brian, Clare and family gave us a warm welcome and made sure we knew all the great places to visit (especially Kick Start Coffee Brewers in Pott Shrigley each morning for coffee - the best). Brain and Clare’s house is situated on a quiet Lane. At one end you can access many of the ancient bridle paths leading to surrounding villages and the high country. At the other end (just a very short walk ) is the most awesome English pub which provided regular evening opportunities to share chats and drinks with the locals. Ellie is a lovely dog with a gentle nature who is always eager to walk the paths with you - a favorite being over the hills just a mile away to the lovely “Farm Made” tea shop that serves great coffee and unbelievable cream teas and sponge cakes! No roads , just bridle tracks all the way! Muffin and Cookie are easy to care for cats that appear each day on the stairs to say hi, have a cuddle and be fed. The house offers everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The views from each window are spectacular and encourage you to walk to White Nancy along Kerridge Ridge and into Bollington or take the trek along the canal to discover small villages and special parts of the region’s history. Nearby Macclesfield offers all the services you may need including a weekly market and is well worth a visit. Eugene and I would highly recommend this house sit as it offers opportunity to stay in a beautiful area and care for three of the loveliest pets. We hope to be back soon!
This sit was really cool - we had some of the coldest days in NH ;-) But we where warmly welcomed by Tracey and her family. The house is huge and was a complete playground for our son (as he has quite the some age as Tracey daughter). So we all had fun with the sit! The area is very nice and a good place to walk Yolo (and Pnut, too). Both dogs are very easy AND love cuddling. Especially Pnut will always snuggle next to you when you lay or sit down somewhere. Every morning she came to our bed and was so happy to join my husband while I let Yolo out. But also Yolo is happy when you are staying home and snuggle with her. So that´s what you could do the whole day with both of them: cuddling and snuggling. Communication with Tracey was easy. We would come again.
Koda was the sweetest pup❤️ She loved to play tag and chase with her toys and your socks-lol She likes being in the same space as you and being loved on😃 She is well behaved and lets you know when she wants to go out or come in with a paw at the door-She is a very smart puppy!! I enjoyed our time together. Jessica and Eric are great communicators and were a text away if I needed anything with quick replies. The place is quaint, clean, and close to lots of places to shop and eat!! And it’s on the bus line less than a five minute walk!! You will definitely enjoy this sit and time with the beautiful sweet girl Koda 😁🥰
