It was a pleasure to sit for Lacey, Rosie & Bob in Ladysmith Both dogs are super sweet and great company - they are both very smart and obedient. Out on walks they are fun - especially at the Transfer Beach Dog Park where they showed off their amazing ball skills. A nice on leash walk for them is Holland Creek which is about 5km away - we also walked them at Diana Princess of Wales Wilderness Area which is 5 minutes walk from the house. Bayview Brewing in Ladysmith is dog friendly 🐶 🍻 🐶 Bob the cat is an old timer and as such doesn't do a lot but he enjoys an occasional chin rub and is easy to care for. Kathleen & Steve have a lovely house and a nice enclosed backyard and hot tub which we really enjoyed. They were very welcoming when we arrived and were well organised for sitters. Communication was great before and during the sit. If you get a chance to visit and look after their pets I would highly recommend you grab it!
What an incredible sit!! We just loved our time with Reggie & Sparkle while Rachel & Stu were away! We were lucky to meet them before they left for their trip and they were exceptionally welcoming & hospitable. Communication was seamless both before & during, as well, even with the huge time difference. Rachel & Stu’s home & location couldn’t have been better. It had everything we needed and then some, it was super clean and we were made to feel right at home. Being so close to the sea & the town, practically being right at the doorstep, we had the best of both worlds, in addition to the metro being a short walk away, which takes you straight into Newcastle and other nearby towns worth visiting. Even by foot, we were able to explore a lot of other villages in the area and the coastal paths were mesmerizing. Also with it being practically downtown (although super quiet at the house), we had our choice of countless cafes, restaurants, pubs & shops. And last but very certainly not least, Reggie & Sparkle were two of the best pets we’ve ever had the pleasure of looking after. We absolutely adored them and really relished our time together. Reggie was such a good tour guide on the aforementioned coastal walks & paths throughout the area. He was also a lot of fun to play with, as he was fond of his toys, but would also not pass up a chance to cuddle on the couch. And we found the same to be true with Sparkle, especially at night, where he’d like to roll and get his belly rubbed while purring away. They were both super easy to care for and we really hated when the time came for us to leave. Needless to say, we couldn’t recommend this sit enough and we would jump at the chance to return!!
I really enjoyed my stay at Jaymee's flat in Hackney. The location is amazing if you're an East London fan, which I am. Hackney Downs is just down the road and I enjoyed my walks with little Rosie there. The cafe Wave round the corner was a favourite of mine and I also walked to Clapton, Dalston and Stoke Newington. Very well located. Rosie is a very special soul. I miss her! She is very sweet and affectionate. When out she does get startled easily so I was very present and firm with her when on walks, but it was totally worth it as she is a real sweetheart. The cats are pretty independent and no trouble. Elvis has some quirks which made me laugh! The flat is comfortable and the bed especially comfy - great mattress! Big TV with netflix was a lovely treat. I recommend sitting for this lovely tribe.
