Erin was wonderful in all ways. She took our puppy out to parks frequently and sent us photo updates. She left the house spotless when we came back. KC was clearly very attached even after three days, and she kept staring at the door after they left, hoping they would come back. Her dog Bandit is very sweet, and was great company for KC while they were here. I would highly recommend Erin for any dogsit and would love to have her back next time we travel.
Kristi came by herself and she is amazing. She was punctual, responsible and seemed glad to be spending a few days at my cabin. When I returned, everything was clean, my cat B was content and Kristi left me a gift. Her care for my home and cat were beyond expectations. I had a really lovely time hanging out with Dale's dogs. I was a bit surprised to arrive and find three dogs instead of two (as listed on the profile), but in the end it worked out absolutely fine to have the addition of Hamish, who is a little ball of energy. All three dogs are super sweet and affectionate, and enjoyed walking in the lovely local parks, of which there are many nearby. Walking all three at once was an interesting challenge as Hamish was particularly excited to be out with his buddies, but once I got used to it, it was totally fine. Alongside adorable Hamish, Hugo is a sweet old boy who wants to take it easy, and Harper is a sweet natured girl who loves a cuddle. Apart from a few little accidents at night, they are all very easy to look after and well behaved dogs. It was good to have some outdoor space at the house for them to go to the toilet. I would really encourage any host to carefully check that their profile is up to date as I expect that if any issues came up, insurance would not cover a dog that isn't listed on the profile. I also would find it helpful to have a bit more information on the profile about emergency vets, pet health and behaviour, etc. Perhaps this would have been easier if we had an introductory call at the start, but as I was abroad at the time and Dale had no apps for video/online calling except international phone calls, this was tricky to organise. However I would emphasise that Dale was very responsive by messaging on this system and a lovely relaxed guy to deal with. The house was lovely, very clean, comfortable and quiet, and near enough to bus routes to be able to get out and explore Geelong. Having a car might have meant I could explore further afield but wasn't a major deal breaker, and I still had a great stay with the three lovely dogs. Thank you Dale!
