From first emailing Katy about collecting our dog from kennels & bringing him for a couple of wedding photos, to the day of the wedding communication was superb. Our dog was brought and they waited for longer than planned as we got family photos, our dog Ozzy was looked after amazingly & was the cherry on top of a wonderful day being able to have him there for pictures. We would wholeheartedly recommend Thea lakeland Walks to anyone & will be using again for any other service needed. Thanks again. Gareth, Zoe & Ozzy.

Katy and Craig took our 4 month year old puppy for a few days, allowing us to do some proper hiking in the Lakes during a week long holiday. They were absolutley fantastic with him (especially as I'm sure he required a bit more TLC than the other dogs) and he came back a very happy puppy each time! Katy was incredibly responsive over email to arrange the booking too - couldn't recommend highly enough.

Our dog loves her days at Thea’s. She gets so excited to see her friends for a play day when we drop her off. The team are really lovely and take time to get to know each dog. Highly recommended.

Wonderful! In every way! Katie and Craig (and Thea of course!!!) welcome dogs into their home and treat them as if they were their own! They're highly knowledgable and understand a wide variety of breeds and their individual personalities! My little fella loves going and was so relaxed when I dropped him off! Made himself totally at home! Couldn't recommend Thea's Lakeland Walks enough!

Thea's Lakeland Walks is an excellent place where you can leave your pet in the knowledge that they will be cared for as if they were at home. Craig and Katy are very knowledgeable and give your pets a safe, happy and fun environment to play and socialise in. Tasha loves spending time with them.

We booked Wilf in to stay whilst we attended Kendal Calling. We were apprehensive about leaving him initially as he can get a little anxious until settling but we needn’t have worried, Craig kindly took his bed from us then whilst we were chatting with Katy he came back and lead Wilf away. Wilf trotted off more than happily, obviously picking up on the relaxed vibes. Katy updated us over the weekend on how he was doing which was great peace of mind to us. We collected Wilf to continue the next few days walking in the area but we’ve actually been glad of the change in weather to have rain as Wilf is shattered, happy but not keen to walk too far. Haha, thanks to you both. Lovely place you have and very secure, would highly recommend.

Excellent, friendly service. Quick and professional replying to messages. Our puppy has had a great time here, so well cared for, couldn't ask for more. Also... the treats and chews come highly recommended! Fantastic local business that we will continue to support.

My cat doesn’t ever want to come home 🙈 he loves this place so much and is so well cared for he doesn’t want to leave. I try to take that as a positive rather than hurt feelings about our home! 🤣 When we get there and open the carrier he skips out looking so pleased to be back. Would never even consider taking him somewhere else. Because of him being so relaxed and happy there , his young sister had a lovely first stay away from home and I hope that she’ll think the same about doggies and moggies for any future visits.

Really lovely place for cats. Window to look out of with mesh so cats can hear the noises too, places to jump and scratching posts. The owners take a real interest in getting to know your cat better.

I picked up my two cats and my daughters cat today from here and all cats have settled at home very quickly. All our cats are rescue cats and have been very well looked after by Rachael and staff they have stayed here two times upto now and already booked their stay for a third time.I would highly recommend this place and the staff for your pets. What a relief to find Doggies and Moggies Retreat in Armathwaite. For the first time in 9 years I needed somewhere for my much-loved cat to spend 6 days. This retreat far outshone other catteries I had visited in the area. It was spotlessly clean throughout, from the welcome area, to the cat pens. I loved the 'garden' area in each one. Rachel was so accommodating, allowing me to bring many items from home to help my boy settle in ( including his home made chicken sausages to go in the freezer ). I cannot speak highly enough of both Rachel and Wendy, who made sure Oscar was happy and settled. My timid boy took to both of them very quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. I can now go on holiday without a worry. Many thanks to both of you. See you soon.x

I would have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in sending my old boy Sid (the cat) to stay with Rachael again, or from recommending her to anyone. She is so lovely and clearly adores the animals she looks after. The cat rooms are great with lovely views out to the beautiful countryside. The fact she is a qualified Veterinary Nurse is also extra reassurance that your loved one is in safe, caring hands. Thank you so much Rachael.

This was Archie and Millie cats first stay with Rachel at Doggies and Moggies and it definitely won't be the last. She looked after them brilliantly giving archie all his medication with no problem. Thank you lovely Rachel!!

Rachel is lovely and had obviously had our young cat Esme very well looked after for a 1 1/2 weeks. It was our first time leaving her at a cattery and we'll be coming back soon! 🐱 …

On both occasions my dog went here she was injured & on the second time it was severe but they failed to get a vet or alert the owner resulting in my dog needing an operation which could have been avoided. The owner originally said the incident happened first thing in the morning, when she kicked my dog in the face rather than the ball, resulting in ny dog having a swollen eye that she couldn't open. She blamed the dog for this saying "she's a good goalkeeper". In the next 8 hours, they did not alert the dog owner or a vet regardless that it was still swollen and she coudlnt open her eye. Instead they left her in pain and posted happy videos of the other dogs on facebook. Since the incident, the kennel owner has changed her story when asked for in writing and now we have no choice but to go down the court route.... Do not recommend & would avoid if you want your dogs looked after appropriately and safely. In my emails prior to being a client, the owner wrote that she would keep me updated on how my dog settled and of any issues but this never materialised. Accidents happen, but unprofessional and neglectful responses to them can not be forgiven and I alert everyone to this to avoid their dog suffering at this day care.

Excellent service & accommodation. Our dog, Millie, loves Rachel. When we get her out of the car she goes straight to the door to get in to find Rachel & then her kennel. She's always very happy there. Highly recommend

As Georgie is only 6 months old I had cat Mumma worries about leaving her with anyone, however, the staff put us at ease straight away. The facilities are excellent and cosy, with added heat lamps for when it gets chilly. We were contacted with an update while away and loved seeing the photo on Facebook of our fur baby. We highly recommend Furry Tails and will definitely use again, Thank you

I use their enclosed field many times and it is a godsend for dogs who need to build up a recall or need some down time where you don't bump into any other dogs. It's a large area with different things for them to investigate. The staff are super friendly and I've always been made to feel welcome. Would always reccomend them and have done multiple times already. Thank you x

What I love about furry tails is that they have a kennel and cattery, and as a house hold with both fur baby's, it makes life so easy when going on holiday that you don't have to find and go to two separate places! I have two cats and opted for them both to go in one pen, I was blown away with the size of the pen, a massive double, heat lamp, climbing posts, litter tray, beds, play toys, everything thing they would need to make their stay comfortable. And what I loved about the kennel part is the one on one time that my dog got, a walk and a play 5 times a day!! Wow fantastic! Definitely recommend

This was the first time we have ever put our cat into boarding as we have always had family to pop into our home, so I was apprehensive. However, this was soon put to rest as from the minute we got the first response from Em, we were reassured she was professional, kind and understanding of the needs of the pet and the owner. Our little cat Millie was with Em for just over a week and it was an effortless process to book her in, drop her off, communicate as and when needed and then to collect. I cannot recommend Em and the team at Furry tails enough. The environment, the care and the warmth was second to none. Will definitely be leaving my cat there again, if needed.

We've been taking our pooches to Furry Tails for several years now. When we drop them off, they don't even look back. They love the spacious kennels, huge paddock and the wonderful staff. They go above and beyond for our dogs.

I brought my 2 cats here when I went away for 2 weeks. We were new to the area and had to get our cats in somewhere quickly, this was the closest cattery still a 30 minute drive. So was reluctant to travel further. First impression was okay. The cattery didn't seem awfully great, but seemed good enough to leave my cats for 2 weeks. Upon picking up my cats, the enclosure was covered in hair, and my cats picked up fleas (as well as my in laws cats who stopped at the same time). I wasn't impressed. I won't be bringing my cats back here but will be travelling a little further.

We were a little anxious to leave our VERY nervous dog in kennels for the first time but Sam at furry tails was excellent and took the time to make friends and gain confidence with him. He came back a veryyy happy pup! 🐶 would 10/10 recommend! Thank you furry tails! …

Fantastic place to take the dogs for a run about, been taking ours to use the hire paddock for a few weeks and have absolutely no complaints. Great, friendly service, clean secure paddock and very reasonable prices. Very reassuring to know there's a reliable and reputable kennels with extra services locally 😁👍 …

All the locals use this - they are great. We always get our dog groomed there - great cut and reasonable value.

Wonderful, absolutely! If you care about your pet then I highly recommend Furry Tails. Care and attention is brought to each individual pet and you can go away knowing that every care or need is taken care of. My hounds didn't want to leave there they had it so good. Individual runs and outings during the day and evening. Warm and very very large cosy pads, not cramped up inside. Dietary quirks sincerely listened to. Staff that care and know what they are doing and how every pet/owner is unique. Thank you
