Reliable Pet Sitter with Room for Improvement: I recently hired Taylor to look after my home and beloved pets while I was away, and while she was reliable and attentive to my animals, there were a few aspects of her service that left me feeling uneasy. Initially after the confirmation, there was uncertainty leading up to her stay, as she had informed me of her inability to commit, only to later confirm her availability. This caused some anxiety, especially considering I had declined other applications in the meantime. One aspect that caused particular concern was Taylor's absence from the house for long periods each day due to her work commitments. As my pets are accustomed to constant company, this deviation from their usual routine left me feeling unsettled. Throughout her stay, Taylor conscientiously cared for my pets, and they appeared content upon my return. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. Despite her assurance of thorough cleaning, it was evident that certain areas had been overlooked. What exacerbated this disappointment was Taylor's request to postpone the regular housekeeping service, which was provided in the welcome package. Consequently, I informed her of the cleaning tasks that needed to be done during her stay. Unfortunately, essential areas; such as vacuuming the bedroom she stayed in and wiping down the kitchen cabinets were left undone, which my housekeeper would have attended to. Additionally, while I had clearly stated in the welcome package that I preferred no visitors during her stay, Taylor asked to have her boyfriend over, putting me in an awkward position. Although I agreed, I felt a sense of unease about the situation. Furthermore, her boyfriend used some items from my garage without permission, which was concerning. In summary, while Taylor fulfilled her responsibilities adequately and showed care towards my animals, there were certain aspects of her service that left me feeling uneasy. I would recommend her with conditions and suggest clear communication regarding expectations and boundaries. In the future I will make a much more robust welcome guide to ensure all parties are on the same page. Overall, I was grateful to have Taylor look after my house & pets!
