I had the pleasure of staying with Sophie for a few days at the home she shares with Beth. From the beginning, Beth proved to be very organized and stayed in good communication leading up to the housesit. When she learned that I had one day free prior to my arrival, she kindly adjusted the dates of her travel to accommodate my availability. She met me at the train station and she was so warm and friendly that immediately I felt a connection with her. Their home is a combination of colorful and serene. It is a great place to stay, with everything needed for comfort and happiness. It is a short 10-15 minute walk along a tree shaded sidewalk into the town of Camberley. In town, there is an excellent restaurant (Bill’s), which I visited several times for breakfast, and nice pub (The Carpenter’s Arms) in which to watch sporting events and meet locals. Sophie is as sweet and charming as she is beautiful. Her care needs are minimal and she responds very well to her favourite treat. In fact, she will try to convince you that she gets her treats whenever she asks, but according to Beth, that is not true. She is also quite the little escape artist. She spends her nights inside and Beth had warned me that the windows over the porch should be almost closed to prevent her from jumping from the window to the porch to the ground. One night I watched horrified as she hopped up to the other window, with a drop from the window all the way to the ground. I jumped up to grab her but she was out the window in a flash, landing with aplomb and running off across the street. After I closed the windows to an acceptable level (limiting her access), a shake of her food brought her quickly back. So, cheeky and clever should be added to the list of adjectives that describe her. Overall, this was a great housesit which I would highly recommend. I would be happy to return anytime if our schedules coincide.
Milo and Nala are both sweet and playful cuddlebugs. The owners have a lovely home and are great with communication. The area is safe and accessible to public transportation. There is also a beautiful park nearby for walks with Milo.
I had great experience at Perry’s home in Palm Springs. Place was very close to all restaurants , hiking trails, bike passes, but quiet and peaceful at the same time. Perry was very helpful with recommendations on exploring the city, and loved the venues. Bob the cat was very sweet and affectionate .
Adam and Sophia’s apartment is cozy, comfortable and conveniently located. We had everything we needed to spend the weekend taking care of Albie (who’s an absolute sweetheart). Adam and Sophia made it easy to pick up the keys via Sharebox. They also provided us with great suggestions for restaurants and cafes to try, as well as things to see and do in Copenhagen. Would gladly keep Albie company again. 🙂
We had a lovely stay at Natalia’s, offering a spacious home with everything you need to feel at home and a patio with a beautiful view of the Fraser River. We instantly fell in love with Russell and Oreo as they were so friendly from the moment we met them. Both really gentle and loving. Would recommend this family to house sit for and thank Natalia and Ignacio for a wonderful stay!
