This was a great sit. Cat was very easily pleased, with plenty of treats and company and was very affectionate. The flat is situated within easy reach of buses and trains, Glasgow Central being a 10 minute journey. I had a really nice experience, and would definitely recommend. Thankyou to you both.
Home for a week now and I still miss that beautiful piece of Earth near Préveranges. I miss Fre and Flor, the band of brothers that rule the territory. At night they don't rule anymore but they collaps on your lap to feel the human touch. Flor is your friend after the first day, Fre needs a bit more time to open up to strangers, but when you take it gently he will come to you on the night of the second or third day, no problem. As I said, Ann and Ken live on a beautiful piece of Earth with surrounding pastures and a very cosy house where I felt at home right away. If you don't like deafening silence you should chose another sit, when you love it, apply when they need somebody !! Ann and Ken received me warmly, even two times. We already met in July when I was on my way to another sit in the south of France. From then on I was longing very much to spend the two weeks there of the sit in September. And I definitely want to come back when they need a sitter again. But when I can't do the sit :-), you'll be absolutely happy when Ann and Ken chose you to take care of Flor and Fre and maybe Fieneke too. Fieneke is the 'wild' cat that knocked on the window for a meal every night. I hope very much that he will be part of the family next time I'll be there... Au revoir !!!
Sweety and Sparky are some of the funniest and cutest cats I've ever seen. They will walk and hunt somewhere most of the day, and come to sleep in your arms on the couch for the evening. The house is in a very beautiful location with unreal views, and it's very cozy inside. The care of the cats is very simple. There is also a large beautiful garden, which at sunset was a pleasure to water with the birds singing. Thank you for the opportunity to relax in a quiet place with Sweety and Sparky.
Ksenia & Misha were some of the most gracious hosts we’ve had. They cooked a delicious, warm meal for our arrival & even took the time to show me ( Kim - Chris arrived a day later) a bit of the town; pointing out the best places to get essentials. They were quick to reply to any questions we had & just generally very friendly & kind. Sean & Judy are very gentle & elegant cats who will win you over immediately with their purrs and cuddles. They are easy to care for and spent a lot of time curled up together by the bathroom heater… when they weren’t climbing into our laps for gentle pets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Haarlem … I dare say, I like it more than Amsterdam… it’s the perfect mix of shops, restaurants, art, & culture … without the crazy crowds of Amsterdam (which is only 20 minutes away by train). 💯 would happily sit for Ksenia & Misha again!
Clover is an absolute lover and easy to walk. Marshmallow is no trouble at all. The house is well appointed and homey. I really enjoyed the hot tub, even though it was a rainy weekend so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I’d like. The neighborhood is cute and easy access to different areas by car. It’s a mile to the original Verve coffee shop. I intend to stay here again, if Jennifer will have me :)
