We LOVED this sit! Dora is adorable — so much fun. Curious, affectionate, and she treats every walk as a new adventure. Jonathan left detailed instructions for walks around the countryside so we were able to enjoy walks in the woods and orchards that we’d never have found otherwise. The village has a well-stocked shop, PO and excellent community cafe that we enjoyed (great cakes!) Also in the village is the Roadmaker Inn, a great pub with an excellent Nepalese restaurant serving Sunday roast lunches and excellent curries. We didn’t have a car but the buses from the village go every couple of hrs to lovely towns to explore: Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, Newent and Gloucester. We took Dora with us and she loved the bus. The house is very comfortable and we were left a detailed manual as to how everything worked. Jonathan and Shahne are very friendly and generous hosts, and easy to communicate with. We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better sit. We are hoping we can return next year. A highly recommended sit.
This was a very enjoyable house sit. Lilly was a sweetheart and very well behaved on and off the lead on walks and very affectionate. Ivy the puppy was totally adorable and very funny. The guinea pigs were lovely and liked cuddles and the chicken ignored us which was understandable as she was sitting on eggs which hatched while we were there, 4 little chicks. Karen and Jason were very welcoming and their home wonderful home is full of character and lovely garden. Beautiful walks on the doorstep especially along canal path to one of the many lakes. Would wholeheartedly recommend this house sit.
Carol and Anon are both wonderful people with very thorough information to care for their home and Anbu. Their hospitality is superb to say the least. Their home is right in the middle of a gorgeous, peaceful area. Walking Anbu was such a treat for that reason. While there are many area's to explore, I found the trails outside their doorstep to be my favorites! Even the neighbors are helpful and lovely. Anbu is dear sweet soul that loves to be outdoors! He takes a bit to warm up when you are in the house but otherwise, he is an angel and very easy to care for. I miss his energy already. I highly recommend this sit if you get the chance!
I had a splendid time with Becky and Daisy. Daisy is an adorable princess. She was always by my side and loved showing me different parts of the neighborhood during our walks. She certainly captured the attention of passersby, always receiving compliments. Her high-five for treats was the cutest thing. Becky was more than kind and generous towards me. I look forward to visiting again. Plus, the location being next to Lidl was a bonus!
Kay was very kind to us, her puppies were docile and loving.
Thank you Debby and Terry for such a warm welcome to your lovely home! We really enjoyed our stay with Lani and Belly. Lani has an outgoing personality and loves everybody; while Belly is very timid. By the end of the sit , Belly felt comfortable with us ( especially me..she seems to be more reserved around men). They were both good on walks..no pulling on the leads and enjoyed being outside even though it was extremely hot during our stay! We stayed a couple nights with Debby and Terry before they left on their trip and one night after they returned. They are both gracious and accommodating hosts. The communication between us and Debby was very clear ,and we kept in contact throughout the sit. We would highly recommend this sit to anyone and would not hesitate to go back if our schedule allowed.
