Such a joy to meet Amy and Jason! Truly some of the kindest and welcoming people you'll ever meet. Cat Jack just went through some stressful events before I arrived so he needed some time to get used to me, but he turned out to be a very cuddly creature. Amy and Jason have been so amazing throughout my stay at their apartment.. couldn't have wished for a better home to sit for!
Dorothy is such a kind person and her dogs, Freya and Sooty are so sweet! Dorothy made us feel very welcome and comfortable; she communicated her instructions very clearly and was available to answer our questions. The house is well situated to explore the Stirling area and close enough to pop into Glasgow or Edinburgh. The internet worked great for those who need it for remote work, although there's no table to work from so maybe not ideal if you need to do a lot of computer work while housesitting. We had a great time and really enjoyed the personalities of Freya and Sooty—our daily walks through the forest with them were one of the highlights of our days. Thank you Dorothy, Freya, and Sooty!
What a wonderful housesit!! Annie & Nicolas were so, so kind the entire time - from picking me up at the airport, to taking the time to thoroughly show me around (even when they had a WEDDING to prepare for the next day! :)), to always being incredibly sweet and responsive by text throughout my time in Basel. Alpha and Miu are super adorable cats that love to be loved, are very well behaved, were zero fuss, and overall were a joy to spend time with. I miss their little faces so much already! Annie and Nicolas' apartment is soo beautiful and full of light, plants, and modern amenities making my stay very, very comfortable. It's also just right above a grocery store (so convenient!) and is located is a very pleasant neighbourhood, just a few mins walk to the river. I would highly recommend snatching up a housesit with this wonderful family, and I would surely come back and sit for them any time! Merci beaucoup Annie & Nicolas <3
Chris and I had a lovely 2 days and nights with Bailey and Murphy. We quickly got to know each of their personalities, Murphy being the boss and a loved a cuddle on the sofa and Bailey, more chilled and only willing to run for a ball if he had a good chance of getting there first! We took the dogs for a long walk around beautiful Royal Tunbridge Wells, and even got a day out to Hastings, which the dogs enjoyed. Marnie was very good at communicating and gave us a warm welcome on arrival.
David and Becca, pups Maha, Heidi and little cat Tiger are the best - seriously! We were welcomed into their spotless home with open arms and clear instructions for how to care for all before David and Becca headed out for the long weekend. Their home is located in the ‘cool’ part of Philly with easy access to local restaurants and pubs, the metro system, downtown and the airport. The dogs are incredibly sweet, enjoyed their daily walks around the neighborhood and were totally content to sit quietly,
Consider yourself lucky if you get the chance to dog sit for Sierra! Watching Sierra was a delightful experience. She’s relaxed, easygoing, and especially adorable during her playful spurts and couch snuggles. Catherine's hospitality was gracious, and her stunning home, located near San Anselmo and Fairfax downtowns, the beach, and nature hikes, was a peaceful retreat. The quiet neighborhood and beautifully designed home allowed me to sleep soundly. At almost 12 years old, Sierra enjoys taking her time on strolls, sniffing and exploring, which I found to be a refreshing change of pace. As Catherine mentioned, it’s important to be vigilant on walks to avoid contact with other dogs, but this was no issue for me. Sierra is obedient and loves humans. I would jump at the chance to watch her again and already miss her!
