I LOVED housesitting for Loki at Andrew & Jen's place in the Inner Richmond. First of all, Loki is such a lover — he got into a sweet routine of giving me hugs throughout the day as I worked remotely from the kitchen and relaxed on the living room couch in the evening. He was super easy to care for all around, and an absolute joy to hang out with. Communication with Andrew & Jen was great from the beginning and always clear. They even offered me some tasty Gazpacho and wine they had left! Their home is awesome and has everything you'd want: Good WiFi for working, excellent location (check out the farmers market on Sundays), bright light, good relaxing areas, Netflix (etc.), assorted kitchen amenities, and storage in back of the garage for my bike (and very easy street parking a 1min walk away, I never had any issue the entire stay — and enjoyed bike rides almost daily to Ocean Beach / through Golden Gate Park!). I would love to housesit for them again. :) Thanks!
Great communication with homeowner Julia, who provided a comprehensive handover regarding the family home and pets, started with several video calls prior to the house sit. Although we missed meeting each other, Julia arranged for a local family member to greet us with keys and give us a quick overview of matters of importance. Staying in a modern, very comfortable home with a separate bedroom and ensuite was a delight. The family pets, 1 dog Bailey, 2 cats Charlotte and Bamse and a fish were extremely easy to care for. Bailey is adorable, energetic and a joy to take on any of the picturesque walking tracks/parks nearby. The cats also enjoyed attention and affection. The location in Edinburgh is fantastic - close to a choice of supermarkets, specialist shops, cafes and restaurants and close to walking tracks. For us it was a 40 minute walk into Princes Street, perfect. And plenty of bus options... All in all, to house and pet sit for Julia is a great opportunity to stay in a lovely home with gorgeous, easy to care for pets in a thriving suburb of beautiful Edinburgh. Thankyou Julia!
Jake and Charlie's flat is stunning and was so comfortable to stay in. Their cat Boots is an absolute sweetheart and was purring around my legs within minutes of meeting him! I would definitely sit for them again :)
