Dog Sitters in Leucadia, CA

We left our dogs Duke and Chloe with holiday pet hotel for 7 days over Christmas. Chloe had a UTI and I gave them the medicine and instructed them to give her 1.5 pills every 24 hours. When we picked them up, Chloe still had a UTI. There’s no possible way that they gave her the meds like they were supposed to. The dogs were so dehydrated when they got home, they drank all of the water in both of their water dishes. They’ve been really clingy and anxious since we picked them up which isn’t normal for them. Duke hasn’t been eating - also not normal for them. Both dogs reeked of urine at pickup and they washed the 2 blankets that we left with them which means they peed all over them (which they only would’ve done if the pet boarding people didn’t take them out to potty like they were supposed to). They neglected our dogs. We will never leave our pets with you guys again.

The staff at Holiday Pet Hotel were very kind, helpful and thoughtful to both our cats and to us. We were adopting two cats being rehomed and staying at the Hotel. The staff kindly allowed us to meet and visit with the cats twice. They told us all about the cats and we could tell that they cared very much for all the cats in their charge. The hotel cat area was spacious with good lighting, and each of the cat "hotel rooms" was also spacious. All the cats at the hotel seemed calm and comfortable. I would highly recommend the Holiday Pet Hotel for cat stays.

We had to find boarding for our beloved fur baby rather quickly and the Holiday Pet Hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was very polite and helpful especially considering our recent move from out of state. They did an excellent job keeping us informed on our pup’s well-being which gave us peace of mind. Additionally, their grooming service was truly top-notch—our pup looked fantastic! Without a doubt, we’ll turn to them for accommodations and other services for our pup in the future.

Kind and caring people who take great care of my cat for me. My kitty is not easy, and holiday pet hotel does a great job in making sure he is comfortable and calm. Their cat condos are roomy and clean, they spend time with each cat every day to be sure they are given attention, and their prices are really good.

While I have tried to refrain from writing negative reviews, I felt beyond obligated to create this one to warn future clients. Please keep in mind that this was my own personal experience. Let me start by saying that this was the first time we ever boarded our cats in their entire lives. We usually hire someone to come by the house whenever we are out of town. Due to their age & health, we felt boarding would be a better option. I did my due diligence and searched for what felt like the right fit. After trying 2 other boarding facilities, this was the best choice. The other 2 either didn’t allow senior cats, or they didn’t have space available. I called this place to confirm availability & that they would take senior cats, one being a diabetic. I filled out the request via the app & was approved as promised. Everything seemed to be going smoothly up until the day of dropping them off. I dropped the cats off around 10:30am on July 1, 2024. There were two staff members at drop off, a young woman & a man. The man hardly said a word to me & started to take the cats back to the room. The young woman was pleasant and chatted with me a bit. Assuring me the cats would be cared for & just fine. Fast forward to 3:15 ish pm, I get a phone call from Oscar. He states that the person who administers medication to the animals quit that morning. Why this wasn’t brought to my attention when dropping off at 10:30am, I don’t know. Oscar said they have a sister facility in San Juan Capistrano the cats can go to. I wasn’t open to this at that moment for a number of reasons. I called my vet & they told me find out more info on this other facility and take it bc the cats need good care. I called back, got more info, & was promised I would not have to pay any more than what I was told before. The next morning, at around 10:30am, July 2nd 2024, I am about to board my flight & I get a call from the other facility. I asked to call back later & did. When I called back I find out I will have to pay almost $900 (HPH was less than $300), plus additional fees for administering meds & daily fecal tests. The woman I spoke to at this new facility said they are not a sister facility and the cats were essentially sprung on them with little notice. They had no idea about feeding, no idea the cats had to be together, and basically was clueless bc Oscar didn’t really do much in preparing them. I called HPH and spoke to Jory(?) & she was just as shocked about all of this. I asked to speak with the manager and she said they’ll call me the next morning. I later spoke to the new facility’s manager and she was just as shocked with what happened. The next morning 7/3/24, I got a call from the new facility in SJC’s manager and she spoke to the owner of both these facilities and assured me bc Oscar screwed up so much, I will not have to worry about a thing. I never received a call from the manager, who apparently is Oscar shockingly. I called HPH and was told they’re too busy, he’ll call back in 10 minutes. A few hours pass and he called back. But I was out with my two small children on our vacation and couldn’t take the call. He left a vm asking to call back. I was honestly so fed up with the BS, I didn’t call back. Especially since the manager of the other facility was so nice and helped us immensely with this whole mess. From what I can understand, it appears there was some reason that no one told me about this person quitting at HPH, Oscar didn’t communicate with anyone very well, essentially lied to me about not having to pay more, and just did an all around terrible job. We got VERY lucky with the facility in SJC and our cats stayed there with wonderful care. Needless to say we will never use HPH again and will warn all of our friends with pets, do not board there ever. This was not how I wanted to start my family vacation and definitely not what I had expected from a facility that somehow has a 4.8 rating. Good riddance. **UPDATE: Julia the owner of both boarding facilities called me & personally apologized for everything. Thank you.

We have had our family dogs and cats stay at Holiday Pet Hotel throughout the years and the care has always been excellent and staff extremely caring. Our newest addition Rory stayed recently and the staff observed all his nuances including his quirky meow. Now that's attention to detail.

I have been taking Jaxson to Holiday Pet Hotel for his whole life, which is now three years. I think he enjoys going there because he is excited every time we pull up. I have left him there for a month , three weeks andimany times for two weeks or even just the weekend. We have never had a problem and when I pick him up, he is clean and happy. Big shout out to the owner and staff at the Holiday Pet Hotel. As an out of state public works contractor I have relied on them to take care of my two year old pitty puppy "Leah". I have used them many times in 2020 and Leah is always happy being dropped of and picked up. This is a great service that I will continue to rely on.

If you’re looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and kind pet sitter, I highly recommend Zack and Yumi. Zack deserves 10 stars for being so patient with my cat Truffle. Truffle is sweet around me and my husband but can be anxious and disagreeable around pet sitters. Zack put up with her hissing (and sometimes even growling!) at him for most of the two weeks we were on vacation. He maintained a great attitude despite her unfriendliness. He sent us text updates and photos after each visit. He was calm and reassuring as we dealt with a stress-induced medical issue. We appreciated his lighthearted humor despite the challenging situation. He joked about how he and Truffle were bonding over their shared love of food. 😺 Slowly but surely, Zack won her over. Truffle ultimately rewarded Zack with her affection before we returned home. Hopefully, she’ll remember what a wonderful pet sitter Zack is and skip the grumpy cat routine next time we travel. Zach and Yumi are very professional, trustworthy and responsible and their love of animals is evident from the first meeting. Our little Chihuahua-Pug mix warmed right up to them. They are very thorough in getting to know your dog and his/her unique personality so they can provide quality care. They provide pictures and updates so you never have to worry and are quick to respond to texts and phone calls. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Yumi and Zack are the most wonderful, caring, playful, affectionate, understanding, trustworthy and helpful dog sitters EVER! Our dog Jazz sayed with them for 3 and a half weeks and he came back to us with much better behavior. Yumi and Zack sent photos and videos every day to stay connected with our dog and to let us know how he was doing - he really bonded with them and we felt very happy that he was in such good hands. We will certainly contact Encintas Pet Sitting next time we go abroad, or need help with Jazz for any reason. Thanks Yumi and Zack.

Zak and Yumi are hands-down the best dog caregivers around. We have been using them for over a year now, and we will go no where else! Our little pup, Twig, is absolutely in love with them both and always comes home happy and calm. They are thorough, respectful, kind and absolutely love the pets they care for. My Havenese, Izzy, stayed with Yumi and Zack for 5 days. They are a super nice couple that genuinely love dogs. At our meet-and-greet, Izzy instantly felt comfortable in their presence. I enjoyed getting pictures of Izzy and texts from them describing her mood or activities. I will use them again and would recommend their services to a friend.

Encinitas Pet Sitting, Zack and Yumi have just looked after our dogs for the last two weeks while we were away and it has been a wonderfully comforting experience for both ourselves and the dogs. We have two 40 lb litter mates from Helen Woodward, very energetic 11/2 years old's. They got their daily walks, meals and loving attention, we got picks and videos daily showing us how the dogs were doing, this certainly gave us peace of mind and we were able to enjoy the break. Zack and Yumi stayed at the house, as we preferred to keep the dogs in there own environment, this worked out very well for us, two happy, excited dogs to great us on our arrival home. I can't imagine a better sitter for my cat! Yumi and Zack are so detail-oriented and clearly love animals. Prior to my first appointment, I was asked a set a questions about my cat and her needs. This was done through a customer portal which handles payment directly as well as the contracts and invoice receipts. Extremely convenient! Zack scheduled a video chat before the first sitting appointment (in-person meetings are also offered). He asked specifics related to my answers given on the portal and answered every single question I had. I've rebooked them every weekend I've been away. Their pricing is extremely reasonable too. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I've used Zack and Yumi for almost 5 years and wont use anyone else. I'm a hover pet parent and I feel no worry when I leave on vacation for a short amount of time, to a 12 day time frame. They send daily updates and pictures of your fur baby!

I highly recommend Kamp Kanine! I bring Benny, my 4 year old high energy golden retriever, here a few times a week and he’s exhausted once he gets home! They always send photos of how his day is going and a recap of what dogs he’s spent the day playing with. We absolutely love Kamp!!! My pup is obsessed with playing with her friends and seeing all her favorite humans at Kamp. Everyone that works there is super caring and lovely. They absolutely love my baby girl and I trust them completely! They have supervisors in every yard and they really make sure that they are putting dogs in the same play area whose personalities mix well together. This makes me feel super comfortable. Not only that but they take the time to know every dog that goes through their door. My pup has been injured for 6 months and Hali has even texted to ask how her progress is coming, which is so so sweet. I cant wait till my pup is healthy again so she can go back. It's been a big bummer not having Kamp in our lives. Highly highly highly recommend!!!

I have been bringing Shadow and sometimes Huckleberry Rye (my daughter’s dog) for years now to Kamp Kanine. They seem very happy to join their friends when I drop them off. The staff is aware of multiple dog dynamics and adjusts the placing of the dogs accordingly so that they get the most out of their time there. When I pick them up, I get a little update on how the dogs were. They are exhausted but happy exhausted. I would recommend Kamp Kanine whole-heartedly!

Lora from Dogs on the Run was absolutely fabulous! We went on a family ski trip for a little over a week and Lora watched over our pup. We have a 2 year old lab and love her so much. I cannot say more good things about DOTR. Athena watched my sweet dog for 4 days and was nothing short of amazing. My dog is nervous/hyper and Athena worked with her and gave me so many updates as I was Away. Dogs on the Run came very highly recommended and they have been a life saver when I needed a pet sitter for my 20 lb pug mix dog. Right from the start, their professionalism was evident. They were fast to respond and asked me a series of pertinent questions regarding my dog's requirements and temperament, so that they can find a pet sitter who was the best match. Based on our discussion, they connected me to Shae. Shae is the best pet sitter I have worked with. Shae was always punctual. My dog, Chewy, instantly bonded with her. Shae followed all my instructions perfectly. Chewy can be leash reactive and hence walking him can be challenging, But Shae was very patient and careful with him. At the end of each session, she would send a detailed report along with pictures, which I very much appreciated. She was a pleasure to work with and I will be requesting her services on a regular basis. After every pet sitting gig, 'Dogs on the run' always followed up with me to get my feedback and ensure my satisfaction. I highly recommend DOTR and Shae for your pet sitting needs.

DOTR is an OUTSTANDING DOG-SITTING RESOURCE, & they have sitters throughout a broad section of the country. We used them while traveling for a family event in Berkeley, CA. The sitter, JANA was a sweetheart, was punctual, & professional, & even advised us when she reached our hotel. As I requested, she kept us updated on our puppy's status throughout the time she took care of her throughout the 2 days we were there, walking her, playing with her favorite fetch balls, etc, She sent us numerous adorable photos for my phone, & thorough updates, further making me feel confident that our puppy was in excellent hands. I couldn't have been more pleased, & STRONGLY RECOMMEND "DOTR" for reliable, professional dog-sitting services.

I can’t possibly express how much I love my pup’s sitter, Jan. She knew exactly how to make me feel comfortable with my dog staying in a new environment. Rumi has been taking great care of my cats for over a year now. She is super reliable and even makes sure she can be available at short notice when unexpected plans come up. Both of my cats need pills and/or supplements and Rumi is awesome and diligent about ensuring they have what is required every day. Very honest and reliable - highly recommend!!

Jennifer is an absolute gem! She has been taking care of our cat for almost 4 years on every holiday and vacation as we travel quite a bit. She has a wonderful touch with animals (not only with our cat, we have seen her with dogs too), you can tell that she truly loves being around them. We know she will take care of our cat as well as we would. Our siberian kitty loves her, it almost makes me jealous :-) We receive pics and videos of our cat while on vacation and we get a kick of Jennifer's descriptions of the cat's shenanigans. When we are back we find her beautifully groomed, with nails clipped and looking very happy. We have complete confidence in Jennifer and are so very glad and thankful we found her.

I love Jennifer, and more importantly our Kitty Scooter loves her too! Jennifer is very reliable, she returns calls and text messages in a timely manner, and has gone above and beyond what you would expect from a pet sitter. She brings in mail, and has gone to the pet store for me when I didn't have time to before leaving town. We have used Jennifer's services for years now, and we so appreciate her being available when we need her to feed and love our Scooter Kitty!

Jennifer is amazing! She has been watching my 2 Rottweilers for almost 4 years, since they were puppies. She has such a wonderful way with animals,,they just love her and are super happy to see her. She is a true pack leader, training them to be the best leash walkers! They never pull anymore,walking right beside me. When I travel she stays here and when I come home the house is cleaner than when I left it and the dogs are freshly groomed and smell great! She sends nightly texts and pictures and I never worry about them. She's a gem!

Jennifer is a gem. She has cared for our almost 3 year Aussie for the last 2 1/2 years. She has stayed at our house, exercised a very active dog, and given him such loving attention. Tux always loves seeing her and going with her. I haves called Jennifer several times at the last minute, and she has always helped me out. She has come to our home early in the morning, and stayed late at night, based on our flights times. Jennifer is the best of the best.

Jennifer is the only person that I would have stay with my cat when I travel. She truly is an animal person. I never worry a bit while I'm away. I get daily pictures or videos. You can tell that this is not just a job for her but a passion. My cat comes running in when she hears her voice. I never get the "cold shoulder" from my cat when I get back home. She thinks her good friend has been staying with her. When I come home my cat is always clean, nails trimmed and my house is always cleaned up. It's nice not to worry about your precious ones while you travel.

I've used Jennifer as the go to for my two Dogs for about the last 10 yrs and have recommended her to many of my friends and others for their pets. I don't think there is another quite like her as many people have got into this business just for the money and not for the love of animals. First and foremost she has a true love for all animals and they really take to her. You will not have to worry as she will send you nightly videos or pic's whatever you want. Every time I return from my trip my Dogs are freshly washed and brushed and the house looks better than when I left it and no poop in the backyard. I've heard nightmarish stories from friends and colleagues who have had their dogs in the care of pet sitters only to come home and find their dogs looking very disheveled and the house tore up. Again, she is a true animal lover and the very best at what she does!

Jennifer has been taking care of my beloved Shih Tzu for nearly five years. My little dog means the world to me and I would not trust anyone besides Jennifer to walk and care for her while I am away. Jennifer also walks my mom's dog. Gemma (Shih Tzu) and Bingo (Bichon Mix) adore her. She understands animals and their unique personalities. Gemma and Bingo are both handfuls and Jennifer is so patient with them. I highly recommend her services to loving pet owners. She will treat your animal like family.

I cannot thank Precious Petcare and my Wedding Pet Attendants (Hilary & Tory) enough!!! First of all, Leila and her staff were very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, and they ensured that my 2 fur kids would get the best care possible for my big day. When the big day came, I felt SO comfortable with Hilary & Tory’s capabilities as ‘temporary’ dog mommas for my special day. It took such a HUGE burden and relief off of my shoulders, knowing that they were in such good hands. They were both able to keep my pups calm and happy, even with Scooter’s terrible separation anxiety! They also followed my detailed instructions to a TEE, and walked our ‘Ring Bearer’ and ‘Flower Pup’ down the aisle with no issues! They did an amazing job getting their energy out by constantly walking them around, letting them enjoy nature (they even saw a deer), playing with them, and keeping them well treated and extra cozy (Scooter was warm and wrapped in a blankie when he got chilly!). They truly watched them like hawks, snuggled them, and treated them like their own. When I saw them both with the pups (and heard nothing but amazing comments from my guests!), I knew that they were in amazing hands and I could be calm, relax, and really enjoy myself. They were also a great influence on my young pup, Millie, and her shyness around other people! We noticed such a huge improvement in Millie the day after the wedding! She was like a whole new dog. She’s so much less skittish after having the opportunity to meet with so many guests. I thank Hilary & Tory for giving her that opportunity, as it was much needed for a young rescue dog! They were stellar at their jobs —- they were punctual, kind, calm, professional, organized and dedicated. I also can’t thank them enough for the amazing photos that they sent. They are my absolute favorite photos for sure, and I’m so glad that they captured those moments for me (as the bride misses all the fun! Lol). I highly recommend Precious Petcare!!! 5 stars

We had Hannah with us for our wedding weekend and she exceeded all of our expectations caring for our maltipoo Bear! She continuously went above and beyond to make sure Bear was well fed rested and at the places she needed to be all weekend to be part of our celebrations. I was over the moon knowing Bear was in great hands for 4 days with Hannah until we came back to our hotel every day. Bear was able to join every event we hosted for our guests and I couldn’t be happier! Hannah even helped us every time photos were taken to make sure Bear was smiling & she helped coach Bear to walk down the aisle. Highly highly recommend precious pet care for your wedding or every day sitting needs!!! I wish they were closer to us in Los Angeles so we could use them on the regular :(

My husband and I just returned fron 6 weeks overseas. This is the first time leaving our 14 year old Calico Trixie using a pet service to visit. Our kids work and wanted someone to be with her during the week. We chose Precious Pet Care from Yelp reviews!! Not disappointed! Janna was our sitter the whole time away. She came 3 times a week. She shared pictures, communication/update and videos of how Trixie was doing. She respected our request to change Trix's ice water (spoiled kitty). Plated with her, gave her special treat! Brushed her. Cleaned her litter box. So much more. She treated her as I would have!! 🙂 Trixie was recently diagnosed with kidney disease and has specialized diet. From the start everyone Leila who helped me through the process made me feel secure and warm to their services.

I've used Precious Petcare the past few months for Doggie Daycare for my pup Cash. He always comes back happy and exhausted. This past week we were out of the country for our wedding and I felt at ease every time I received a daily update and pictures showing that he was well taken care of and enjoying himself with the other pups. Thank you Leila and the team for taking good care of my baby. We are so happy to have found this place for daycare and boarding.

We have taken our active dog, Anda, to Precious Pet Care for daycare, overnight stays, and boarding for the past few months. This is the first time that Anda has been to daycare and it is safe to say he loves its! Anda gets to play outside with all the dogs and gets lots of attention from the staff at Precious Pet Care. There is a good variety of dogs, and our dog has befriended the owner's dog. Whenever he comes home he looks very happy and is tired the rest of the day from all the play time. The staff are mindful to make sure he eats his meals and uses the bathroom regularly. They appropriately supervise to ensure he gets along with the other dogs. They also are very flexible with drop off/pick up times and communicative with us, sending daily updates with photos and videos. Most recently, he spent the holidays boarding at Precious Pet Care during our vacation. He definitely got a lot of attention, as there was a doggy holiday party with special treats, a Christmas photo shoot, and he came back with a gift bag and report card for his stay. We would absolutely recommend Precious Pet Care to anyone looking for a homey place for their dog to stay for any of the services they offer.

We booked Precious Pet Care for their wedding pet attendant service, and I highly recommend them!! We wanted to have our dog walk in the ceremony and have someone look after him at the Airbnb during the reception, but didn’t want to have any of our friends/family do it and miss out on the celebration. Precious Pet Care was the perfect solution! With everything that goes on during your wedding day, it was great to know that our dog was cared for and happy! Now I’ll be honest, our dog is not the best trained and can be very excitable, but Johnny did a fantastic job getting his energy out beforehand and keeping him entertained all day so he was comfortable when it came time for the ceremony! We got so many cute pictures with our pup too! It meant so much to have our dog with us on our big day and know he was safe and happy while we celebrated the night away! If that sounds like something you’d also want for your wedding, Precious Pet Care is the way to go!

Precious Pet Care was great in assisting us with the care of our pets Emma and Gracie on 4.02.23 - for my daughter's wedding! Leila was super helpful and responsive to our questions, and she and Ashley arrived early (before we did!) and were very attentive to Emma & Gracie during the course of the day - allowing my family to relax and enjoy this very special day! They made sure our girls were walked, fed, hydrated, entertained and calm throughout the day. They then returned them to our Airbnb, let them play outside for a bit, and made sure that they had food & water to last them until we returned. Before they left, they sent us pics of our pups relaxing at the house, which enabled us to enjoy the rest of the evening - knowing that they were safe, secure and had everything they needed. Without their awesome wedding pet attendant services, including our pups in my daughter's big day would have been next to impossible.

My dog Percy is really shy and is scared of everything and everyone. He just hides behind me whenever I take him to dog park. He takes a long time to trust a person or a dog. Leila has been phenomenal at taking care of Percy and she has helped him come out of his shell. She has been very patient and accommodating with him. She has made him a more confident and a playful puppy who can now explore the park on his own and play with dogs his size. Percy has been a part of Leila's doggie field day every week and I have been seeing drastic improvements in his behavior. All thanks to Leila! Percy loves her so much and he is so excited to see her every week. She even made this shy guy find his doggie best friends. I am very grateful that I found her and honestly, she is one of the best things that has happened to my Percy!

Absolutely loved this service for our wedding! We couldn’t imagine our big day without our pup and Leila made it all possible! She was amazing with Archie and it made the day less stressful! I couldn’t recommend Precious Pet Care more to other couples for their wedding day!

Amazing staff and facility! Needed doggy day care on short notice due to an emergency medical appointment at Scripps, and they were happy to accommodate. Everyone was so great with my friend's shy dog, and even came out as we were leaving to show us a picture of her, happy and all settled into her room. Very impressed with the service at Animal Keeper! Thank you for making our visit so easy and stress-free.

We boarded our two dogs for two weeks there. Up to this time, our older pet didn’t socialize. The Team made them feel welcome, did a temperament test and he was fine to socialize! It allowed us to enjoy our stay. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend.

We’ve been taking our dog, Mr. Pickles, to The Animal Keeper now for 6 months and could not be happier. We use their doggy day camp twice a week, had Mr. Pickles trained there by Edgar (who was great) and board Mr. Pickles at The Animal Keeper when we go out of town. Everyone is so professional, the facility is incredibly clean and our dog can’t wait to go. It makes us feel so at ease when we leave Mr. Pickles knowing how excited he is to be there with all of his human and fur friends. I highly recommend The Animal Keeper.

I have been taking my dog (Brutus, 5 years) to Animal Keeper (AK) for over 4 years now. He absolutely loves it there, and the staff love him! They are kind, courteous and professional, and always keep the best interest of your pup in mind. Brutus goes to AK about once a week for day care, and he can’t get enough! Throughout the year (e.g. Easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc.) AK offer special holiday events during daycare that you can sign up for (for example, the “Feast or Beg Hunt” around Easter, see photos!). Brutus always has a blast, and I can always trust that AK will take great care of my pooch. My parents have been taking their dogs here for boarding for over 25 years! The staff is very knowledgeable and well-trained to ensure that all pups have a safe and enjoyable experience. They also offer various grooming packages that can be done while your dog is at daycare! There is nothing better than picking up a happy, clean pup after a long day of play! The facility itself is always very clean, which I have found is often overlooked at other daycare/boarding facilities. They also offer a “touch free” drop off/pick up option. A staff member will meet you outside to pick up your furry friend, if you prefer. I highly recommend Animal Keeper for boarding, daycare, and grooming needs!

We have so much Gratitude for Rurik Vigo Dominguez. He has change our dog Blue’s life. Rurik is helping Blue have discipline, and understanding of human language. He is helping Blue find purpose (make mom/dad proud). Rurik is such a great mentor for Blue. now Blue is much happier happy dog . Rurik send us videos of the lessons he is teaching him through out the day . We are so glad we found him our stress when communicating with Blue is no longer there . Now Blue is more peaceful, (no anxiety) it only makes his personality shine more becuse he is more confident. We love our Blue , we love his mentor thank you Rurik. 😀The Turpin’s

Very accommodating! They have televisions for dogs that love to watch- suites - playtime for small breeds and they take the dogs out frequently. They really seem to care about the animals and are extremely helpful!

Anytime we go out of town we board our dog with the Animal keeper. She has stayed at the Poway and Encinitas locations. It’s reassuring to know she is safe and cared for while we are away. She is always happy and healthy when she comes home. Drop off and pick up are a breeze and the amount of add on packages / treats is sure to keep every dog happy and comfortable.

When we vacation we board our black cat at the Animal Keeper on Encinitas. We usually get 2 upper pens and bring her own food (dietary reasons). The fees are reasonable and staff is super friendly. We live about 25 min away, but prefer this location than the Poway one so that my sister who lives close by, can easily check on her.

We brought our new, big, strong doesn’t know his own size and strength dog for boarding. We haven’t been there in years and your staff remembered us and our first 2 dogs. You took wonderful care of our newest addition and he even came back to us with better manners. Thank you for always being wonderful.
