Joe's townhouse is in a great location, just one block from several excellent restaurants. Free street parking is available in front of his home (very rare for DC). The only slight issue is that you are required to move your car to the other side of the street during rush hour, which is easily managed. I was initially a little leery about Taz's shots and medication, but he is a wonderful, personable cat. He is very cooperative with his insulin injections and tolerates having his daily pill.
Super great host, wonderful and comfortable house, and the cutest most amazing pup, Geordie! Drive to the sand and Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach.. all so close and so fun!
Staying with Pipe's in Laurie's beautiful, loving, comfortable, super clean home was a chance of a lifetime. Piper is soooooo much of a great dog. He has a gentle and fun nature. He loves balls and freebies, nice walks in the neighbourhood and pets in the morning and night. While we were home relaxing, I could also let him out in the backyard for a few balls and a quick sniff around if needed. If not he would sit, relax and be ok with me working away on my computer. A perfect balance. He is young and playful but in a loving way, not annoying at all! The house is a gem. It is nestled in a beautiful neighbourhood with tones of green areas and beautiful nature. The interior has so much heart put into it. Just to be in the sitting room you can look at one-of-a-kind art, paintings, furniture, and a work of art. The house also comes with incredible back patio (quite big) views of the mountains and the lake. Very quiet, amazingly peaceful, you will find everything needed to cook, sleep comfortably, laundry, 100% efficient. Finally, Laurie is an amazing woman. She responded quickly, efficiently and kindly to my questions before and while she was away. Dealing with her is like dealing with a friend. She made me feel welcome and comfortable and was generous in her time and kindness when we meet at the beginning of the stay. If you do have an occasion to stay with Piper in the house, take it, you will have only great memories of it. Thank you a million Laurie

I had a lovely time in Salisbury! Campbell is a charming man who was kind enough to pick me up from the train station and show me around Salisbury before he left on his trip. We sat up and chatted too and he has led an interesting life! Ruby is about as low maintenance as a dog gets. Friendly and adorable. You won't tire of photographing her. Salisbury is great, entirely walkable and plenty to check out. Another great sit, thank you!
This was a fabulous housesit. Mark was a gracious host and made us feel welcome right away. He was very communicative and made sure all questions were answered and instructions were clear. The pets Max and Emmett were cuddly companions, and Max was a fun hiking buddy. The neighborhood, home, and its decor were beautiful. I would highly recommend this sit. Thank you, Mark and family!

Mine simply is the best. When we leave our little one with Mine, he is so happy to be there, he doesn’t even look back at us when we leave. So we leave him with Mine with a lot of confidence. Mine always shares pictures and updates. Her love and passion for her job and dogs is so clear. We have been boarding our little one with Mine for years now. Always had such a positive experience. Our boy comes back much better behaving, well socialised, even smelling all clean and lovely😅 Mine deserves max stars and more. Highly recommend her.
I am so grateful for the service I receive at 'Mine is yours pet care.' I get messages, pictures and videos reassuring me that my puppy is having a wonderful time while I am away which helps me relax and enjoy my adventures my dog can't come with me on. I totally trust this company with my Oscar. I truly believe Nina and Sarah have a strong and intricate understanding of not just dogs generally, but specific breeds. I was gone for 3 days and when I returned I had returned to a calmer and generally better behaved puppy. Mia (the family dog) is also such a such a friendly and lovely girl, she makes a great asset to the team. I am unbelievably happy that I found Mine and Sarah. They are so dedicated to providing outstanding levels of nurturing care. The service they provide is miles apart from anything else I have seen. Mine clearly has excellent canine knowledge and constantly provides me with really helpful advice. My 20 week old puppy loves her time with Mine and Sarah - the photos and the videos they send back this up; its so lovely to see her so happy and stimulated when I can't be with her. Our dog has been going to Mine is Yours for over a year and she is always incredibly excited to go in the morning. She is so happy and loves seeing her friends there, and we love seeing the photos of her day. Mine's love and enthusiasm for dogs shines through in everything she does with them, and she goes above and beyond in her care and play. We are always confident to leave our dog in Mine's care as we know she will be treated as if she were her own dog. We would thoroughly recommend Mine is Yours to anyone who is looking for dog day care.
Would give more stars if I could! Mine is Yours really is just that, Albus is like one of the family when he’s there. As someone who works away frequently, it’s such a relief to know that Albus is safe, happy and living his best life. He comes home from daycare and boarding having had the best time (and would probably stay longer if he had the choice). The perfect place to leave your pup knowing that not only will their needs be met and they’ll be loved as much as if they were at home. Thank you!
I would give 100 stars if I could! Belle has been staying with Mine and family for days and overnight stays since Feb when she was a little 2.5kg 3 month pup, and has the most wonderful experience every time. She is loved and cared for, and has an absolute blast with Mine’s amazing dog Maya and the other dogs. Her doggy social skills and confidence have been brought on no end by the positive interactions and socialisation she has during her visits, in a safe environment where her individual needs are catered for. I can relax knowing she is in the absolute best hands (and enjoy the photos and updates during the day). I am so grateful to Mine, who is such a warm person and clearly a true dog lover and expert - I couldn’t recommend more!
Our little Jack Russell had to stay with Mine for 4 nights and we were very pleased with how Mine showed a wonderful warm and caring nature towards her. We felt at ease and happy about our doggie being in the care of Mine’s boarding and we will be using her in the future for sure.
Mina was super responsive, and we met a few hours after our messages to chat and discuss Mushu and his potential stay. I was quite anxious as this was the first time Mushu would be away, and there was only four days' notice. I met Mina, her partner and Maya, and instantly they built up my trust, and I was happy to leave Mushu with them. They cared for Mushu brilliantly. I loved the updates, photos and videos that made abundantly clear that Mushu was enjoying himself. I had an airtag on him in case something happened/wanted to see where he was, and I completely forgot about it. A testament to how much I was confident and relaxed. I couldn’t be happier with how it went. I also feel lucky as it was so smooth to chat, meet and book with such short notice. Needless to say, Mushu will be coming back for care, walks and whatnot. Thank you for making this an extraordinarily positive, stress-free experience for Mushu and me. I was slightly concerned Mushu would not want to go home… thank you for everything!

From a first visit it was clear that Isabel is fantastic with her canine customers!! My two cockapoos emerged beautifully groomed and clearly very happy. Isabel took time to explain both what she thought would be best and to advise on ongoing grooming care. The younger of my two had some difficult matts in her coat that were expertly dealt with and they are both looking beautiful now!!
Isabelle adopts a very personal approach, providing a warm and welcoming experience in her own home which was exactly what we needed for our traumatised rescue. Theo, a Miriotic shepherd/ Otterhound cross joined us from a Romanian kill shelter a few months ago. He was horribly matted, huge( around 50kg) and in urgent need of grooming. However he is terrified of people, wary of being touched, and always pulled away each time we tried to brush him . He was so traumatised we doubted anyone could groom him. Yet Isabelle assured us she could and she was so right. We asked to stay( to reassure Theo) and watched on in awe as Isabelle quickly gained his trust. If I hadnt seen it with my own eyes I would not have believed it tbh! . She didnt need us as within 10 minutes of her soft reassurances Theo was so relaxed Isabelle was able to remove all the thick matts , even those around his back area, where he'd chewed himself raw..He was so comfortable he even fed from her hand! She really is an extraordinarily compassionate groomer and in our opinion we met a bone fide dog whisperer today. We will definately be back ( we have 4 Romanian rescues )and would HiGHLY recommend Isabelle.
Our one year old border terrier was hand stripped by Isabelle and we're extremely pleased with how she looks. Just as importantly, she was kind, careful and considered and our dog was relaxed in her company as she worked in her home. Isabelle gave us handy advice and I would highly recommend her. I will certainly be going again next time.
Absolutely wonderful experience with Isabel at Barker and Yapp. My 3 year old Cockapoo has terrible anxiety when it comes to grooming but Isabel was amazingly patient and kind, ensuring my boy was as happy and comfortable as possible. I would thoroughly recommend Isabel to all.dog lovers as her care and attention is outstanding. Bertie came away looking trim, handsome and happy to have shed the sheepskin coat he's had to wear for the last few weeks! 10/10 service!

I took my 7 month old puppy for his second groom after being unsatisfied by another groomer. Isabel was so relaxed and gentle with him. He looked fantastic post groom. Very happy. We will definitely be returning.
Isabel was absolutely brilliant with our puppy for her first trim. Isabel was so caring and took time to make sure our dog was at ease and really happy which we really appreciated. And our puppy looks fantastic too!
Isabel is a first class dog groomer. She clearly loves dogs, has a smashing, kind way with them and they love her! She’s been grooming our cockapoo Pepper for 6 years and always does an excellent job. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!
Can’t recommend Isabel enough! We took our lurcher collie cross, Frisbee, in for a groom this morning to help her cool down in the hot weather. Frisbee is an older lady and she is usually very nervous around strangers however, she absolutely loved Isabel. Isabel is really knowledgable and has a strong focus on ensuring the dogs are comfortable (the services are also very reasonably priced). Frisbee was even a bit reluctant to leave at the end - thank you so much!

Elaine has looked after our cat a number of times since we moved to this area. She has always taken great care of her and given us regular updates and seen to the cats needs. We completely trust Elaine and highly recommend her.
Elaine looked after our cat and chickens whilst we were away. We were nervous about leaving our cat because as a rescue cat we were worried that he might react negatively to our absence. Elaine brought her breakfast to our house each morning and sat with him; and then returned in the afternoon to keep him company and feed him. Likewise Elaine looked after our chickens and cleaned their coop far better than I had done previously. I cannot recommend Elaine enough. She gave us peace of mind whilst we were away and cared for our animals as she would do her own.
Elaine provided a very professional, friendly and trustworthy service while looking after our two cats and even sent us pictures and updates, which was very reassuring. I would definitely recommend Elaine, she obviously knows and loves animals and had thought of all the details to ensure all goes well.
We used PHG for the first time to house-sit our fairly remote property while we were in Italy. Elaine was very efficient and helpful and we felt reassured that she was bringing in the post, checking/watering indoor plants, opening curtains etc. We will use her services again. Ian Brown

We found out about mogsters and Dogsters through a recommendation from our friend that often takes his dog there for boarding. We were incredibly impressed with the care our dog Sunny received while staying at Mogsters and Dogsters. Elena created a WhatsApp group with my husband and I and sent us several updates with pictures and videos of our pup having a blast which we really enjoyed receiving whilst on our holidays. He was treated like one of the family received lots of cuddles, treats, daily nature walks and lots of playtime and we believe had a perfect doggy holiday too and was probably sad to come home. He came back looking so well even brushed and groomed! We will certainly be using Mogsters and Dogsters for any future trips and recommending to anyone with dogs or cats. We can’t thank you enough for taking such great care of Sunny!
Just had our first house sit with M&D and can’t recommend them enough. We have tricky dogs with a specific set up and Elena and Rick followed all the guidance with perfection. All the dogs were very happy and we were kept up to date with photos. They were so relaxed when we returned just like we’d been out for a few hrs with the house being clean and tidy too. I have been using M&D let out service also and would highly recommend both services with no doubts.
Elena has been amazing with looking after our puppy while we were on holiday in Greece. Elena is competent and caring and has been giving us updates on Rocky. We will definitely use her again!

Great service. I found that the previous pet sitters that I used in the past weren't very easy to contact and book with, happy to say this was the complete opposite! I Loved receiving daily updates about my cat Pixie and how she was doing. Really friendly experience, I know Pixie had a great time by the looks of the photos and videos. I would not trust anyone else with my cat.
