Couldn't have asked for a better house and cat sitter than Gia! She was incredibly kind, very responsive and communicative, took excellent care of my home and kept my very needy cat happy and content! I'd invite her to housesit for me again in a heartbeat!
Aexis originally committed to a sit from March 26 to May 12. Because it was a long sit and I would be traveling in Japan far from home, I arranged for a backup sitter in case something might go awry. This is because I understand that life emergencies can happen, even with the best of intentions, and I let Aexis know that she should feel free to use the backup if it became necessary. As it turned out, less than half way through the situation Aexis let me know she had a job opportunity in another state that was very important to her and arranged for my backup sitter and to take over on April 16th, subject to my agreement. Of course I agreed to the change because I had arranged for backup. But it was somewhat unsettling for me because I had no prior notice from her that a conflicting job opportunity could interfere with her commitment to the sit. That is my only reason for less than a five star rating. As far as care for Sophie, Aexis was absolutely five star. She took Sophie for beach play, off leash park play, and I could tell from the pictures Aexis sent me that Sophie was relaxed in her care. And she did an outstanding job handing off the sit responsibilities to my backup sitter.
