Thank you very much to Sarah and Keith for a lovely stay with your boys Harvey and Cooper. Keith and Sarah booked me in well in advance and we had good communication to the lead up of the sit. As it was a longer sit they were happy for me to have my partner one week and my friends, who had house sat with me previously, the second. Sarah was incredibly accommodating with beds and set up for our arrival. I had an absolutely lovely time with the boys. My partner and I arrived the night before as Keith and Sarah were leaving 5am the next day. Sarah and Keith had warned us the boys could be a bit wary meeting us and so we expected a bit of barking. Once we were all inside they calmed relatively quickly. The boys needed some comfort that initial morning after they left and then after that grew accustomed to us quite quickly. We started with local walks, and then in then took the boys in the car to explore further and further, managing a trip to the Lake District one day and a couple of beach trips in with the boys on the longer leads. The boys love their walks and I recommend getting in a good long walk before sitting down somewhere as they will otherwise be a bit restless. At home the snuggle bug is Harvey - he will greet you in the morning with his blanket in his mouth and lots of bum waggles. He loves a cuddle on the couch and if there is two of you loves to be between both of us. Cooper doesn't mind a cuddle on his terms and loves to chase the football with you around the back yard. They both take guarding the perimeter of the yard quite seriously, but will also respond to whistles to return inside when necessary. Sarah and Keith gave a well detailed guide to both the boys and the house. Its a beautiful home with an amazing kitchen and all the gadgets you could ask for. They were generous in leaving us plenty of space for storage in the kitchen and bedroom. The bath was spectacular as was the shower and pressure. I highly recommend the farm shop Honeywells around the corner for their butcher and snacks. Sarah and Keith also highlighted some great local pubs and cafes that were dog friendly that we visited. All in all it was a great trip and I missed the boys afterwards! I definitely recommend sitting for Sarah and Keith!
We had such a nice time in San Diego! Jolene is such a sweet cat we just wanted to hang out with her all the time. She is friendly and low-maintenance. She is the best little pal and loves to play fetch. The location was great as well, either a nice walk or a quick uber ride from Balboa Park. We would love to stay with Jolene again in the future!
It was a superlative house and pet sit every which way! Weβd go back again in a second. πβπ¦Ί π π π π πͺ»
What a fantastic sit! Ariane & John were so kind & welcoming, cooking us a delicious dinner on our arrival & introducing us to their friends. They even left us HelloFresh meals so we didnt even have to buy groceries. They also kindly let our son come & visit (he is at university nearby). Oscar & Tango are just delightful & we fell completely in love with them! Tango is very strong, so I tended to walk them individually during the day and at night, my husband took him, and I took Oscar, who is older, and not as strong. They were good as gold on the 2 occasions we took them to the pub and just quietly sat under the table. Ariane was a great communicator and very quick to respond to my query about the hot water immersion heater. A joyous experience! Anyone would be lucky to take this sit!
We had such a wonderful stay here! Coco and Mona are the most lovely pups. They are so warm and friendly, they are very happy to sit next to you on the couch and love heading out to the park for a walk around. They have both captured our hearts and we will miss them a lot. Rona and Cookie (the cats) are also lovely!! They took a few days to warm up to us, but from there they came and hung out with us lots, giving us lots of cuddles. All of Margot and Yoeri's pets have the nicest nature and are all very chill. The house location is brilliant, with the boat to Centraal Station is only about a 10-minute walk from the house. Communication has been great and all of the instructions are very easy to follow. We had such a nice time housesitting and would love to come back and sit anytime!
