We were Fiona‘s (and Lucy‘s!) first sitters so we were glad that we could leave a good impression. The house was clean and tidy and was very nicely refurbished not so very long ago. We only stayed for two nights and went out for our meals but the kitchen is very well equipped. We had a lovely en-suite bedroom. Fiona & Russel’s house is in a very quiet neighbourhood. You can take Lucy for nice walks right from the doorstep. The location of the house is excellent for exploring the city of Bath. We felt very welcome. Fiona even picked us up from the train station and, at the end of the sit, dropped us off because we don’t have a car. Lucy is a large dog, so sitters should be comfortable with this size of dog. Although she is a big dog she is very well behaved. Outdoors she is very calm. She takes her time during her walks and there is no tugging on the leash whatsoever. She likes other dogs, so again, meeting other dogs wasn’t a problem. The only thing I’d want to point out (and Fiona mentioned this too) that Lucy reacted to some kids. She barked at them when she saw them. We don’t make any judgment why this is. Maybe she is afraid of them? Overall we had a lovely stay with Lucy and would not hesitate to come back. I had a wonderful time with Buckley (18) and Coco (8) beagles. 4 X Walk/day: morning, noon, afternoon, night. They do well leashed and had no issues with other dogs/people, and there is convenient walking area near the home. including a beautiful park surrounding a lake about 0.5 km away. Owners very carefully demonstrated all pet-care (medication, feeding, walking), and were gracious hosts. Guestroom and guest bath were on third/4 floor townhome with all modern conveniences. Quite comfortable, including TV in guestroom. Forth floor is rooftop with jaccuzzi. Indoor private parking. Communication with owners was very friendly and easy.
Megan was a great host! Bingo is a complete sweetheart and was great company on walks and for couch cuddles. The house is very comfortable and was well organized for ease and convenience. Some unexpected adjustments came up during the sit, but we all flowed well together in the Flux.
Sarah was a delight! She explained everything so clearly and Louie was the best. We went for some amazing beach walks and he snuggled up to me while we watched movies before bed.
We’ve had a wonderful time at Lucy’s place. Chico and Harry are great low maintenance cat who appreciate good cuddles but spend most of their days scouting the neighborhood and just need food and occasional pets. Lucy and her husband were very welcoming and helpful with everything. We stayed in a lovely guest room and the rest of the house is very modern. Overall they were great hosts and I only wished we could have hang out more! 10/10 would recommend
