It was such a pleasure to house/pet sit for Catherine and Mike! Not only were they great in the initial stages with answering our questions and providing detailed instructions and suggestions for a time in their home, but were continually responsive whenever we had any questions during and after our stay. Their home is situated in a great location in town, which was very convenient for grocery shopping and going out if you don’t have a car. And if you do have a car - this is a great base to get to Northstar, Heavenly, and other ski resorts! As for Bo and Leia, you are bound to fall in love with them, no matter if you're a homebody or an avid adventurer! Bo loves long walks and if there's snow involved he will entertain himself (and you) with zoomies and catching any snowball you toss. And when you're ready to wind down for the evening, get ready for cuddle central from these two! Reading a book or watching a movie, Leia will find her way to curl up on your lap and Bo will snuggle up next to you - the perfect company. This dynamic duo was an absolute dream to pet sit and we would without a doubt care for them again!
What a delightful home to pet and housesit in! I felt welcome the moment I arrived and appreciated the handwritten notes about Jasper and Mia, as well as notes on the house. Candace gave me a quick tour of the house and a nice narrative of the neighbors so that I would know what to expect. I thought it very kind that she inquired, in advance of my arrival, as to whether I needed cream for my coffee or not. Southern hospitality at its very best! The home was clean, the bed comfortable and the kitties were a delight!
Abby and Adam were wonderful hosts who live a beautiful, well-considered life in a wonderful location and made communication quite easy. We really appreciated their example, their thoughtfulness, kind communication, and ease. Not to mention this: Walnut, their cat, is really just the sweetest, most cuddly and playful animal spirit ever -- you will be enchanted. We hope to come again to care for Walnut and do (even more) all we can to uphold what are really admirable and beautiful values: a simple, elegant life in one of the best climates around (in our opinion), in a walkable, joyous community.
I had a wonderful time with Baker, Macey, and Indigo. They are sweet and affectionate bunch. They were easy to take care of. And Ali was also friendly and clearly communicated what needed to be done with the dogs and cat as well as the home. And Ali’s has a beautiful and peaceful view of the ocean with several nice parks within walking distance.
Iris was such a pleasure to care for. He loved being a part of everything I was doing and so curious. Fiona's home was really beautiful and unique with an ultraaaa comfortable bed (only tip I would give is to bring an eye mask if you need a really dark room to sleep as it's an open plan). I loved my stay at Fiona's house and looking after Iris was a breeze.
Jill is an excellent host. She communicated regularly and left clear instructions on how to care for Macy and Fuzzy. Her home was a clean and quiet oasis, situated near a lake with a walking path, pool, and many places to eat. Her neighborhood is wonderful for walking. The cats are easygoing as well-they mostly like to scope out the birds via the enclosed back porch.
