Jill was a wonderful pet sitter for my two kitties. She was communicative, pleasant, helpful, flexible and a pleasure to meet. Jill took the time to come by my house and meet with me prior to her stay. We were able to go over everything in advance which made me and my kitties more comfortable. This also gave me a chance to see how she interacted with my cats and gave my kitties a chance to get acquainted with her. My kitties looked happy and well cared for when I returned home. I would love to have Jill care for my pets in the future.
We have been sitting on and off as a family for almost 2.5 years now and this is the first sit we ever even questioned ending early, and for sure the first one we actually needed to get out of. This sit was supposed to be 5 weeks but unfortunately we had to end it extremely early due to many issues with the home and overall feelings while trying to communicate and feel comfortable in the house. A few of the issues and concerns we encountered were: old and broken down pots/pans that all the lining had come off, to the point that we almost bought our own set. We also experienced way too many roaches to be considered normal and spotted a few areas with old built up grease with mold forming. As mentioned, the kitchen was a major concern for us, but the rest of the house was pretty clean. Maria was very sweet before we came but when we communicated not feeling comfortable, we were only met with anger, rather than discussing maturely.
I had a great experience staying at Suzy's place in Oeiras. Both Olive and Charlie were a delight to look after and the house is beautifully designed. The location is very close to Santo Amaro and Carcavelos beach so you can take the dogs for a good run around in a safe and sunny setting. Everything was very well organised for me in advance and Suzy was fast to respond when I had any queries.
