Jen and Lizzie are such warm and loving people. They came to stay in "my home for geriatric animals" for 2 stays that bumped up against each other and so we were able to really get to know each other as they were here for 6 weeks. They are incredibly kind and respectful and are courageously exploring a new life. I am so happy to count them as friends now. The first sit was a short and my hot water heater went on the fritz and was leaking gas. They knew exactly what to do, contacted the fire department and the gas company. Because this all happened on Friday night and I was unable to get a plumber until Monday, they went the weekend without hot water! I felt horrible, but they took it all in stride and were able to be here for my plumber to install the new heater. I couldn't have asked for more understanding and responsible care during a difficult and potentially dangerous situation. Their communication during both the first short sit and then the month long sit was perfect. They sent pictures and were very responsive when I reached out to them. So, this would be enough, but I just can't find the words to describe how much wonderful care they draped on my beloved old pets and my home. My dog instantly fell in love with Jen. Socks bonded with her immediately. Usually when I return, he is soooo excited to see me that I can barely get in the door. He was that way this time too, but kept running over to both Jen and Lizzie too - wanting to share with them that I was home. That has never happened before, even with my best dog sitters. It was truly remarkable. Socks had been injured and so they had to give him medicine and care for the wound, which they did very well. And, they took him on walks - usually a couple a day, which was so good for him. He's healthier and so much more active upon my return. He's in the best shape he's been in for a couple of years. And, Jen even painted a picture of Socks for me, which I will treasure. The cats, being cats, are more reserved when I return home. While they were glad to see me, I could tell that it was not because they needed any love. They had been well-cared for and very loved. My tiny old cat had even put on some weight, which is so good! My house was immaculate upon my return - the cleanest it's been in a while! Jen said it was all Lizzie, but I'm sure it was a joint effort. It was so great to return to my clean home. It was so obvious that everything had been very well-cared for during my long absence. They stayed with me a few days after my return so we really got the chance to know each other. I'm so grateful to have them as friends now and can't wait to see where life takes them. I wholeheartedly recommend them to take care of your home and beloved pets. They are incredibly reliable, trustworthy and loving. You will not be disappointed.
