Joanna was better than we expected. She left our house spotless and our dog happy. She even left groceries and fresh flowers for us on our return!
An utterly joyous sit in a beautiful house in a beautiful location with two of the most engaging, adorable pups in the land! This sit completely bowled us over. Communication with Neil pre-sit was excellent. We arrived a day early to avoid Cornish holiday traffic and were provided with a thorough walk-through of the house and dog care. Neil and Kelly were gracious, warm, friendly hosts who made us feel incredibly welcome and at ease. Neil’s house is stunning and has everything you might need for a luxury stay. We were allocated a lovely room (very comfy bed) with fab views of the lake and gardens, and a large ensuite (loo with a view!). The kitchen is perfect for cooking and chilling out in; the living areas are incredibly comfortable with excellent WiFi and access to numerous streaming platforms. We loved the extensive grounds with two lakes, vegetable garden, rewilding and resident giraffes (you’ll see…) But the stars of the show are Hugo and Ralph – a pair of cocker spaniel brothers who will make you laugh, melt your heart and wish you could take them with you when you leave. Each day began with a tail-wagging, madcap bound around the property - these two bring a smile to your face first thing in the morning without fail. We took ‘the boys’ with us pretty much everywhere; they are obedient, fun, adventurous, affectionate, calm, easy travellers. They honestly were a delight to have as our canine companions. Highlights – too many to list here - were: Harlyn–Constantine Bay coastal path, Roughtor hike, the Eden Project, numerous gorgeous villages, discovering country pubs, pasties, the St Wenn primary school fundraiser complete with sheaf throwing competition, Neil’s homegrown veggies, the young calves in the field by the driveway running up to each day and licking us, snuggling up with Hugo and Ralph in the evening as they both vied to see who could get closest. Communication with Neil was fantastic throughout and we all swapped pics of our experiences during the two weeks. Neil and Kelly are lovely, generous people who we really felt a connection with and hope to meet up with again. Especially as that means we get to see ‘the boys’… :)
We had a great time with Quinn in Canmore! He loved his food and walks, and was always very well behaved. Location was awesome and Kate was very welcoming and we communicated very well!
Monica's home is spacious with beautiful decor, comfortable furnishings, and a very well appointed kitchen. We loved the open concept living/dining/kitchen area. Communication was top notch. McNulty is a beautiful blue-eyed Siamese who is inquisitive, quiet and makes nap time a priority! Giving him oral medication twice daily could be a challenge unless you are experienced. He tends not to eat a lot at one sitting and sometimes throws up but he does love his treats. McNulty moves up and down the 4-story home with no difficulties at all. He is perfectly adjusted to his tri-pawd life. Monica is a generous host who does not leave you with a list of chores and wants you to be comfortable during your stay.
I loved doing this pet sit for Jackie and Vic. They made me feel most welcome and Jackie had cooked a lovely supper on my arrival. Maisie is the most beautiful little dog and although she was only 4-5 months old was already well trained. I was very sad to leave as I had become very attached to her and would love to go back to sit for her again.
I absolutely loved watching King and Lourdes. Such sweeties. King’s walks were easy, as we avoided other dogs just in case. He knew exactly where he wanted to go! Lourdes liked her space but then cozied up to me more as she got used to me. Lane has a beautiful home in a gorgeous neighborhood - all around great sit!
