One of my Favorite House/Pet sits. I spent 4 years in Albuquerque so, I already knew the area would be gorgeous and Christmas in Santa Fe is magical but, what made this trip so memorable (even months later) was sweet Atticus & Scout who entertained my husband and myself; enjoyed great walks around the beautiful neighborhood, and were affectionate snugglers during movies and quiet time. Sharleen & Shekhar are warm, engaging and entertaining and I’d love another visit. Thank you for trusting me with your fur- babies and allowing Ken to come out for a short visit. I treasure the memories of this trip. Gratefully, Sue
We had a really lovely week looking after the house and pets for Vanessa and Richard. They gave us a very warm welcome and clear verbal and written instructions for feeding the pets. The house was beautiful and was handed over in a clean state with space left for us in the fridge. The two dogs Nellie and Tinker were a joy to look after. Nellie was a high energy bundle of fun and very affectionate. Tinker was very sweet and a real character. We took them into the fields direct from the house for walks. We kept Tinker on the lead in the end because she occasionally liked to disappear after rabbits and we didnt want to risk losing her. She trotted along next to us like a charm. Ness kindly left us OS Maps and tips where to go. The chickens were hilarious and ran like lightening to the coop at feeding time. We were treated to 2-3 freshly laid eggs daily. The ginger tom cat (Bandit) was very friendly and would clamber onto our lap on the sofa. The dogs also enjoyed a cuddle on the sofa. Throughout the week, communication with Ness was easy on whatsapp and always replied same day if I asked where something was. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely sit for Ness and Richard again. Highly recommend.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time taking care of Loki, Thor, Arawan, and Tuxie in Joseph absence and exploring the sights of El Cajon. The house was great thanks to the different hiking trails at the end of the street and easy drive to Chula Vista and Downtown San Diego. El Cajon possesses its own distinct charm and appeal.
Angeline is super supportive. Her home and location is a great place in the world to be for a while. Arwen and Sierra are so well trained easy to care for, very gentle, kind, and loving dogs.
We really enjoyed this housesit. Peter and Sarah were welcoming and showed us around before they left. The house is lovely and backs straight on to the forest for great walking opportunities. The chickens and ducks were fun to look after and supplied us with lots of eggs!!!! Charlie and Lola were really lovely soft cats who loved to sleep, explore in the garden and hang out with you. Paddy the Labrador is a lovely gentle boy around the house, loves his toys and following you around while you take care of the ducks and chickens. He is not keen on meeting other dogs when you are out walking, so you need to be aware of your surroundings when you are out with him, and put him on his lead if you spot other dogs. Thanks guys for a lovely sit.
Elfie and Tom’s ‘kids’ Maddox, Oscar and Miss Harper, kept us entertained during our wonderful stay on Thailand’s Koh Samui. They are all adorable and each has their own unique personality. Oscar and Miss Harper are rescue dogs with heart wrenching stories. They just want to be close to you, sweet little Oscar especially. All three slept on the bed with us, which was a bit of a squeeze. Although little Oscar loves to be between your pillows. They are all undemanding and very easy to care for. Tom and Elfie are great hosts. They drove us round the island and showed us where all the best places to eat, drink and shop are. They live in a great location, out of the main tourist area, just five minutes walk to what became our favourite beach bar and restaurant. It is a short drive to other great beach bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Their elegant home, is on a large private wooded estate, with beautiful centuries old trees. It is the perfect place to walk the kids off the leash, which they love. The house is open to the elements in parts, which some sitters may find challenging, especially if they don’t appreciate sharing with visiting wildlife. We especially loved the fruit bat that visited some nights. It picked fruit from the surrounding trees to eat in the stairwell. It was worth the small amount of mess it made to have such a unique experience. We loved spending time with Elfie and Tom and especially their sweet kids on Koh Samui.
