Anna
I had a 16 night stay at Anna’s looking after her beautiful Persian, Moomkin. He is a loveable character and lapped up attention (on his terms of course😆). He was friendly right from the start and was no trouble at all. He slept a lot and he loved a daily brushing of his luxurious coat.

The house was lovely and very well appointed. It had beautifully kept garden with plenty of outdoor furniture where you can sit and eat or enjoy the view. Only a 10 minute walk to Lyme Regis harbour. Plenty of places to eat and drink there but beware the seagulls who will mug you given any opportunity!

I’d definitely recommend this as a 5 star sit.

We very much enjoyed spending time with lovely, lively Ilka. She was great on walks on the delightful Devon coast and nearby Dartmoor and she got on well with our working cocker . John's cottage is a short walk from Modbury where we had some excellent food.

PALLAVI
Petsat June 30 - July 6, as Pallavi graciously shortened the dates on the platform so we could apply to partial sits after we finished sitting for her. Pallavi was very quick to respond about our application to the house sit, and she answered all of our questions. After we accepted the petsit, we had a call with her to iron out the details, and during the petsit, she was responsive mostly within 24 hours.

Catsitting Calvin was great! He enjoyed hanging out with us and would purr a lot, very cute cat. Taking care of him was easy - just had to make sure the water was filled, wet food once a day in the evening, and didn't give into his meowing for going outside. Didn't need to scoop litter as the machine did it on its own!

Playing with him was fun, but be careful. In the 4 days Andrea did the petsitting (the other days, Dan did), Calvin bit Andrea twice, once so hard that skin came off. It would've been helpful to have a warning that he does so.

If you're thinking about doing this housesit, some things to be aware of:
- bring your own towel. Upon arriving, I asked Pallavi whether there were towels and was told: they didn't realize they were supposed to provide towels, and they don't have extras.
- the thermostat should stay no lower than 78 degrees. We happened to petsit during a heat wave when it was 90-100 degrees outside, and the thermostat not going lower than 78 was not in the profile, not communicated in messages, not in the welcome guide, and not mentioned during the call. It was on a piece of paper when we arrived at the house. We were told there's a fan in the room, but it's noisy and the living room didn't have one. It would've been helpful to know this before accepting the housesit, since we cannot sleep well or be comfortable in that temperature.
- no cooking meat in the house. This was communicated right after we applied (before accepting), so we were well-aware of this beforehand. It's also in the welcome guide and mentioned during the call.
- sending a photo every day is part of the responsibilities, and we were asked to do this during the call. We probably would've done it anyway, but it'd be helpful to include it on the profile.
- the house smells like spices and wet food when it's put out. If you're sensitive to smell, it might be a bit overwhelming, but the senses usually adapt to it.

Location was great, close to grocery stores, hiking, and restaurants. We had a car, and parking was easy as we could park in the driveway.

Action Jackson was a pleasure to sit with. J is a GSP, trained for hunting so has very specific commands and behaviors to follow. He LOVES his pool and tennis balls so is very easy to exercise. He also loved to lounge on the couch with me at night.

Justin left great information and was responsive to any questions I had. The house is in Tucson and is close to anything you might need within the city.

I'd definitely sit with Jackson again.
