Sammy and Lola are such chill dogs, it was a pleasure to spend a long-weekend with them. Two walks a day, two meals a day, long naps and the occasional cuddle = two happy Lurchers. Sammy was friendly from the get go, with Lola taking a while to warm to strangers. Even after three days she was shy to approach me (male), but would follow Nida (female) around like a shadow. Walking the dogs was easy, they are well behaved on the lead. Sammy knows his favourite walks, so you can let him lead the way if you like. Or Amanda has suggested walks mapped out for you. We had never met a Lurcher, so were not sure what to expect. But we can now be considered as Lurcher fans, Sammy and Lola are fine ambassadors for their breed! And Amanda is one of those people you immediately feel comfortable with, as if you have known her for years. She provided clear written instructions for caring for Sammy and Lola, and for the running of the house. She introduced us to her neighbours, in case we needed guidance, and she showed us around the area and gave tips on where to visit. Which was great, we enjoyed some interesting walks in the area - Old Leigh and the waterfront, Hadleigh Castle, Belfairs Woods. Amanda's home and garden are lovely. The house has been tastefully renovated and is a pleasure to spend time in, and the patio, outdoor furniture, and neat private garden provide a great spot to sit in the sun / enjoy your evening drink. The house is close to the local shops, with a nearby bus route running into the heart of Southend-on-Sea. We very much enjoyed our time with Sammy and Lola, and would be delighted to mind them again in the future.

Clare provides an unbelievable level of service. We've had our mini lop looked after by her and our bunny always comes back full of energy & happiness. Clare is a font of knowledge for any issues we've had with our bunny and genuinely cares for her and you can see how much she loves looking after her. Clare sent us photos and videos throughout our bunny's stay and also provides grooming and tailored diet requirements all as part of the package. She also offers a pick-up & drop-off service at marginal cost, which is so so handy. Clare has been constantly available for any questions or confirmation of plans. It's difficult to find boarding for rabbits but we've truly landed on our feet finding Clare - an exceptional, professional service at extremely reasonable rates that caters for the customers needs and puts the animal's welfare as a top priority.
I left my 3 guinea pigs with Clare, feeling very nervous after a previous horrible experience using a different pet boarding service. I love my 'babies' so much, and it's hard enough trusting a stranger with them never mind after that! Clare set our minds at rest when she showed us the beautiful facilities and chatted to us about all the animals she has helped - it's clear that she truly loves and understands small animals. While we were away I got sent photo and video updates of the piggies living a life of luxury, which helped me relax and feel sure they were happy. I'm not entirely sure they wanted to come home with us. 😂 We travelled a good bit to get to Clare, but it was worth it and we will happily trust her with Holly, Ivy, and Kenny in the future. 🥰
If I could give 100/5 stars, I would. My little Mini French Lop Reggie had his first stay with Clare this week and he received first class treatment. Clare has an amazing set up for the little furbabies and Reggie had the best time☺️🐰. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a boarding place for their little buns or guinnea pigs! Reggie will def be staying with Clare again, thank you☺️!
We wish we'd found Clare's Creature Comforts sooner, it’s the best place to home your pets while you are away. We left our 2 female dwarf lionhead lops with Clare and they loved it. Clare's services in housing your pets for 1+ days are brilliant. The setup is extremely clean, varied and our 2 pet dwarf rabbits absolutely loved their 8 days and nights. Sweep, our grey rabbit, immediately took to Clare, licking her as soon as she saw her – that told us that they were going to be very happy at Clare's. Organisation is obviously Clare's obsession and the two of them were relaxed happy and peaceful when collected. We already have them booked in for our next trip away and I'm sure them, and Clare, will look forward to it. We can't recommend CCC highly enough.
Where do I start! Well firstly, I can't thank you enough Clare for everything that you have done for Oreo whilst I was holiday! I am so glad I found you and my boy will definitely be coming back to you if you're not booked up when I go on holiday again! I love my boy so much and find it so difficult leaving him when I go on holiday! I found Clare's business card in Pets at Home one day and thank goodness I did! I decided to contact her to find out more about her facility and the care that my boy might receive. I was and still am completely blown away! Clare phoned me back straight away and put my mind at rest, chatting to her on the phone really helped and she was so efficient in getting back to me so quickly! Clare really does put her heart and soul into looking after all the fur babies and is so knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble for her, she really does go above and beyond! Oreo stayed with Clare for 18 nights. I would 100% recommend Clare to look after your small pets. She sent me updates with photos and videos every day and the enrichment she provides is second to none. My boy had so much fun and space to binky whilst he stayed with Clare and she truly loved and doted on him! I feel like I have made a friend in Clare, she is such a lovely person and is always on hand to offer advice. I am the fussiest bun mum so believe me when I say, trust Clare with your fur babies, she is totally amazing! Thanks again Clare, you were truly amazing and I will be forever grateful to you!
I would absolutely reccomend Clare to look after your bunnies! We've used Clare's boarding services a few times and she is the most caring and thoughtful bunny person we know. Our rabbits where completly pampered and Clare was kind enough to send photos and videos through the week so we didnt miss them too much!
Our 4 bunnies had a luxurious holiday with Clare and loved every minute of it💓 With the attention to details, Clare is the loveliest and most caring person to trust your bunnies to. Clare is an absolute gem when it comes to caring for guinea pigs! I recently left my three guinea pigs, Peanut, Pickle, and Donut, for an 8 day stay with her, and no doubt they will be back! Clare’s hutches were clean and spacious (even for 3 girls!), and it was clear she went above and beyond to ensure they were not only very fed well (with the finest hay and veggies) but also received plenty of love and attention during their stay! I can't recommend Clare highly enough to anyone in need of a small animal boarder. It was so reassuring to know that the girls were left in such capable hands, and I won't hesitate to entrust her with the care of my guinea pigs again in the future. Thank you, Clare, for looking after my girls so well!
Would highly recommend Clare’s service so much! We left my two buns with her for a few days and I don’t think they wanted to leave, they had so much fun. You can just tell how much Clare loves and cares for each and every small animal that comes through her doors. We got daily updates/ photos/ videos about the buns which was nice and reassuring to know they were getting attention and not just seen for a few minutes while giving them food. Clare really looked after them like they were her on, she has an amazing run that my two buns loved running around. Clare stuck to our usual routine for the buns when it comes to what time we give them their food at which was amazing as it meant they weren’t out of their own routine. They will definitely be back again when needing looked after.
I adopted my beautiful bun Luna from Clare back in July. Since then, Luna has been to stay with Clare when we went on holiday. She kept us updated with texts and photos/videos of our beautiful fur baby while we were away. Her setup and knowledge is amazing and really puts you at ease knowing your pet will be well looked after. Her prices are reasonable and I’m glad I can support a small local business. I won’t hesitate to book boarding with her in the future.

Excellent service! My partner and I were a little bit nervous about going away without our dogs for the first time but we received regular updates and photos of our babies settling in and making friends with the other dogs there. Our dogs came home happy and healthy. Overall very well run and we could tell our dogs were well cared for. We will definitely be returning in the future so we can rest assured that our dogs are safe and happy while we are away.
Miki kept our gsd for 3 weeks and I was so happy with the service. I was consistently kept up to date and reassured he was doing the best. She integrated him with the other dogs and he responded so well I was shocked when photos came through of him playing with the others as he would normally be very nervous around other dogs! Clearly she is very calm and experienced with dogs and especially gsds! Kobe came home in great spirits, good weight etc and I could tell he was well looked after. Would definitely recommend and will be using again. Thank you miki x

Can't praise Miki and her lovely family enough. She has looked after all four of my dogs all at once! For several years and they are happy wee bunnies when we come home which makes our holiday even more relaxed knowing they're well cared for. Thank you guys very much xx
Overall, a bad experience. We had two dogs staying for 3 nights. Although the business claims that they only have 3 households' dogs max staying at one time they fail to mention they also have 10-15 dogs in doggy day care at same time. They were also fostering 3 pups at the time and have 3-4 dogs of their own. The house gave off a sense of choas and we did not see how our dogs were going to get any sense of individualized care. We had no choice but to leave them as ferry was booked same day as drop off. In addition, the owner wasn't there for drop off and had left her teenage daughter in charge. We weren't asked any info about their normal feeding habits, routines, toilet times etc. and I found a piece of glass on living room floor which no one had seemed to notice. If all this weren't bad enough both dogs got bad stomach bug during their stay. Vomiting and diarrhea. Off food for days. Both had to go to vet for medication and fluids costing £200. The place may be victim of own success as clearly has had good reviews in past, but now far too many dogs are present at one time meaning each dog does not get individualized care it needs. There are also clearly hygiene issues as with so many animals in cramped space diseases etc pass around so easily. We will not be back. **** Update based on owners response**** Ironic that someone concerned with 'false claims' makes their own. Our dog was not on a 'vegan diet' but a hypoallergenic diet as recommended by our vet due to repeated ear infections. We have to slowly introduce animal proteins one at a time to see if they cause reaction, and if so, put her on plant based wet food to flush the proteins before trying another (as plant based proteins don't cause reaction). We had tried fish before she was at the hotel and it caused a reaction, so she was on plant based wet food and hypoallergenic dry food during that time. All this was of course explained at drop off, but as the owner wasn't there it's not surprising she has made a number of false assumptions. If she had the conscientiousness to be present when clients drop off dogs to make sure all relevant info was understood fully then this wouldn't happen. Also strange that our dog and sister in law's dog who was staying at same time both got sick literally the next day after bringing them home but no other dog did. Must just be an unexplained coincidence.
Take my dogs here regularly, for day care and for overnight periods whilst we're away. Michaela is experienced with dogs and I feel very comfortable leaving my dogs with her. As a dog behavioural trainer, I am fussy about leaving my dogs but this is a fab establishment - home away from home. Would give more than 5* if I could! Cannot recommend her more highly - however I will say that one of my dogs is picky about people and who he will be left with (away from his hoomans) and he always settles well with Michaela, he even looks put for her locally if he sees her car! I trust that they are in good hands whenever I leave my dogs with her, and I have every confidence in her.
First time my furry babies have stayed anywhere so I was a bit nervous probably more so than foxy and casper. I scanned the internet trying to find a home from as my two aren’t use to staying anywhere apart from my home, Miki’s was perfect as they were aloud stay indoors and still have that family life going on around them. We had a meet and greet few days before also. Miki’s sent me photos and updates on them and by the looks of things they were having the best time. Foxy kept jumping into the pool even first thing in the morning, poor miki’s floors. They are booked in again in April for 9 days but I think I’ll try some days here and there for them to get use to going. Thank you again Miki.
Absolutely fantastic service! I was very concerned about leaving my dog. Original sitter pulled out at the very last minute before our holiday. In comes Miki’s Dog Hotel to save the day! Absolutely lovely people! Picked up Mammoth (my dog) and brought him out, sent pictures and videos every day and kept me completely in the loop! To top it off they dropped him home too! And all for an amazing price. Mammoth got home very clearly exhausted, plenty of exercise and stimulation! I am so grateful! If you are considering using Miki’s service get off the fence!
Our two dogs, Rollo and Brina, stay with Miki every time we go away - whether it's a day trip and we can't take the dogs or if we're away for a longer period of time - I feel that my dogs are safe, cared for and having a good time! As a behavioural trainer it's very important to me that my dogs feel comfortable and are with someone who can handle the unpredictable nature of having multiple dogs together - Miki is very capable and my dogs gave always been safe in her care. Rollo and Brina adore Miki and her family, which is something you don't always get, especially in a kennel environment. Miki has a great system in place for dogs to be happy, safe and relaxed - plenty of room for zoomies and playtime too! 100% recommend. We last left our two dogs with Miki in May 2023 for 5 days/ nights - we received a couple if photos to let us know the dogs had settled in and were making friends; giving us peace of mind as we were away. Honestly, cannot recommend enough!
I booked my boy Bailey to stay for two nights with Miki's Home Doggy Day Care and Hotel as I had a wedding to go to and would be away for 3 days. When I arrived with Bailey we received a very warm and happy welcome and instantly I was put at ease about leaving Bailey as I seen how happy the other dogs in their care were. Michaela was so friendly and Bailey took to her instantly so that was a major sign that he was happy and he would be in good hands. I was sent a picture and updates with how he was settling in which was great he was up looking cuddles in no time and playing with the other dogs. Miki's was even generous enough to deliver Bailey home for me all the way from Dromore to Craigavon with very short notice for a very small fee such amazing people. Bailey came home happy and knackered which was great to see he had a ball and was well cared for. He will definitely be back again and is even booked in for 17 nights for when we go on holidays to florida I'm so happy to have found this doggy hotel so professional thank you for taking care if my baby.
My three little dogs have just returned home after a delightful two-week stay while we were away on holiday. This is the second time they've had the pleasure this year, and they absolutely adore it. They get to mingle with so many other canine companions, and the exercise areas and cooling-off zones are simply splendid. The dedicated staff go above and beyond to ensure the pups' comfort and well-being, and the regular updates on their progress are a true delight for myself, my daughters, and my wife. Three glorious walks a day in the stunning countryside, coupled with the immaculate facilities upon their return, put our minds at ease, knowing our furry friends are being exceptionally well-cared for. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a top-notch pet boarding experience.
Had our dog stay here while we were away for the week in July - she seemed to love it. Daily photo pupdates were great to have and know she was being looked after while we were away. She came home nice and clean & in great form! Will defo be using Bark BnB again. 100% recommend.
Ace had a 10 day stay in July and was really well looked after. The regular photo updates are fabulous, it was great to see how happy and settled he was. Would 100% recommend to anyone. We will definitely be booking Ace again in future.
Our wee girl Lola stayed at Bark B&B for two weeks and she had a great time!! She enjoyed her daily walks and playtime in the playground. We left our two energetic pups with BarkB&B for second time now and as the first time we are very happy that we choose this pet hotel. Eoghan and Lauren are brilliant and they genuinely love dogs! Without their hard work and love for dogs we wouldn’t be able to enjoy our holiday but knowing they are in good hands we can relax. We get plenty of messages with updates and adorable pictures of our beloved pups which is great. Place is very secure and clean and dogs have loads of toys to play with and they are loving it!!

A super option for dog owners, we've had Daisy there for a few months, usually 1-2 days a week but will need more shortly. £24 per day, £12 half day, £22 if 3 days, £20 if 5. They don't open weekends and have cameras setup if you want to watch. I book Daisy via WhatsApp.
Just writing my experience as was recommended that this facility is excellent.Emailed to see how my dog could go and some basic general questions, got no response. Phoned several times again no response. Called into speak to staff and ask why did not get a response about email or why nobody answers the phone and I was told by staff member we don't respond to emails or answer telephone as due to a staff member being down we are short staffed,she went on to say if you submit an enroll form we will look at it. I tried to explain that before I enroll my dog I would like some basic questions answered and again I was told by staff member to just submit an enroll form. So going to try and find a different dog daycare facility. Again this is Just my personal experience. Maybe if they weren't short staffed things would be different.
Took my little dalmation here! Absolutely loves it! I know because I can see him on the webcams that you can log into, and he looked happy as Larry. When I got him home he was super tired from all the fun. Staff seem really nice, they are real dog lovers.

This place feels more like a resort than a kennel—our two dogs absolutely love it here! Both of our dogs are fed a raw diet, and one of them requires a special raw food with kibble, avoiding chicken and other ingredients. The staff accommodates this with no trouble at all, which is such a relief. They also send regular updates, which is fantastic—it’s so reassuring to see how much fun our dogs are having while we’re away. We really couldn’t thank the girls enough for looking after our weenies.

The absolute best kennel about, Ashley and Heather are amazing and make me wee dog feel so at home. I wouldn't send him anywhere else! I was quite apprehensive about leaving Daisy in overnight boarding but within 5 minutes of meeting the ladies at GDA I needn't have worried! It's so clear they are passionate about what they do and Daisy absolutely loves being there. She recently had a six night stay and didn't even look back when we dropped her off! We returned home to a very content and tired dog after six days of fun with her pals at the resort. We had complete peace of mind while we were away and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Good Dog Academy - thank you !
Can’t recommend Good Dog Academy NI enough. Bruno has been going to daycare twice a week for a year now, he absolutely loves it and comes back shattered every time. We’ve also left Bruno on multiple boarding trips, one was even 10 days long. They sent over regular updates to keep our minds at ease. Ashley and Heather are also two of the nicest people I’ve ever met, they both have all the time in the world for you and your dog and are also so helpful when needing advice for your dog.
I left my fur baby here with her cousin and they shared a kennel. While we were on holiday we got updates regarding them with photographs of them enjoying themselves. It is so handy to where I live so I will be using them from now on. It was my dogs birthday while I was away and the photos show they celebrated her birthday with her. I am so happy I have found somewhere to leave her now. The girls were so amazing with them.
I can't recommend the good dog academy ni enough Heather & Ashley are both amazing girls .... from the minute coco & Bella arrived over xmas they were fussed over & made to feel at ease ... when I go up here to leave my dogs i feel these girls just don't do it as a job I feel like it's their passion they are animal lovers.... the place is like a 5 star furbaba resort ... my 2 even came home with a doggy bag from santapaws .... they both loved it.... They slept for hours when they got home they were so tired from playing .... I will definitely be booking them both back in for another fantastic few days in may .... I wouldn't go anywhere else as the girls constantly updated us too with photos & how they were getting on which means everything to me to see my dogs have so much fun & interaction this is why I will pick here every time ..... thank you good dog academy ni 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
We took our first holiday in a long time this year and it was also the first time we needed to board our dog. As a member of our family, it was important to us that we find people who understood that we wanted him to socialise and have fun! Everyone at Good Dog Academy was excellent from start to finish. They kept us up to date with great pictures and made the whole process stress free. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend them to anyone. When we picked him up he was happy and curious and I've never been so pleased to pay for a service. Absolutely first class.

We entrusted our deaf border collie, Tadhg, who has several health issues, to Ashley and Heather at The Good Dog Academy NI for three nights. Despite our initial apprehension, their professionalism and expertise shone through from the moment they met Tadhg. Throughout his stay, they provided regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind. Tadhg returned home calm and happy, demonstrating the care and attention he received. Heather's understanding of border collies, having her own, further assured us of his comfort. This was Tadhg's first time away from us, and we're grateful it was a successful experience, thanks to Ashley and Heather's exceptional care and dedication.
Thank you George, Margaret and son for taking good care of Homer and Blue. We were delighted to see them and always know they are safe and well with you. Not only did you wash them as usual, but their blankets were washed too!!!!! We will always be back again, having seen how you cared for our 'old Blue' and treated her like a queen. We were more than happy to pay for the 5 nights as booked, (but our son's plans changed at the last minute} so we appreciate you only charged us for 4. Here they are back home safe and sound..... We first left our GSD with Lawrence and his family feeling a little bit worried because our dog Blu is very weary of unknown strangers and could possibly be aggressive however we were wonderfully surprised to hear that she was calm and relaxed throughout her stay and that they had even managed to bath her! (She came home smelling lovely) They really understand the pros and cons of the breed and we can now leave her there knowing she is relaxed and being cared for by lovely experienced people. Thank you
Thanks to all at Veaghmount for looking after Tootsie so well during her recent stay. Could tell that she was happy and well cared for. Margaret, George and Lawrence do such a super job. We have been using these kennels for some 10 years and our dogs have always had the best of care. Highly recommend
1st time we’d left our 15 month old lab Reggie and he had the best time. Although excited to see us, was obviously sorry to leave. He was extremely well looked after, ate well and absolutely loved playing with the other dogs. George and Margaret are obviously great dog lovers. They looked after our previous dog Bonnie, who also loved being with them. I cannot recommend them highly enough, so reassuring.
A big thank you to Margaret and George for looking after Teddy and Tutu (toy poodles) at very short notice and in the height of the holiday season so that I could get my hip operation without the stress of worrying about my 2 dogs. They have stayed many times in the past and have always been taken care of really well. Tutu is 14 years old and had a cruciate ligament repaired less than 4 weeks ago so it was great to have access to such kind and considerate care.
Our Whippet Buddy had an excellent time, his first time in kennels, he was very happy and obviously well cared for, he was washed ready for our pick up. Highly recommended.
Couldn’t recommend them enough. They have been keeping our dogs June and Archie for years and they always come back super clean and extremely happy! If you are looking for a kennel you can trust they’ll look after your dogs amazingly well.
I took my two dogs there and they were brilliant with them. They needed strict medication routine and everything run smoothly. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Many years ago I used to keep the dogs in a different Kennel near the area and one of the dogs always came back home with a hoarse voice that lasted for few days. After being in Veaghmount Kennels they came back to me very happy. I think they enjoyed it.
Our two dogs, Poppy and Daisy have been with Lawrence and family for the past almost four weeks whilst we visited our son in USA. All details were taken of age, health, exercise requirements, medication etc. I felt happy leaving them when we saw Lawrence and saw how our dogs reacted to him. Daisy doesn’t take to a lot of people. My son has called several times to see they are alright and both are settled and happy. Daisy lies by the fire whilst Poppy enjoys the younger company. So happy I left then at Veaghmount, a home from home for them. Collected them, they’d been bathed, looked great, coats gleaming and obviously happy. Our girls will definitely be back in the future.
Our Lenny loves coming to George and Margaret. They're always so good at fitting you in if you need anything last minute and we never have any worries about leaving him. He comes home utterly exhausted too! Great place.
