Kona is the sweetest, warms up immediately, catches on quickly and is easy to care for. Catherine’s apartment was super clean and convenient to shops, restaurants and walking trails.
We were very excitied about meeting Katie, Ryan and their three most adorable black cats, Tico, Moki and Kiwi. Upon arrival a day early, we were warmly welcomed, introduced to the "family" and taken for a tour of their lovely home. Katie and Ryan made our upcoming sit very easy with complete instructions on pet and house care. Moki, Tico and Kiwi were there to help show us around. We would highly recommend Katie and Ryan for future sits, they were absolutely wonderful.
I had a fantastic time caring for Betty, the gecko and the home! Betty is great company when going for walks. She enjoys both short and long sniff walks. She loves being affectionate first thing in the morning which I enjoyed. The gecko was easy to care for and since it was my first time, I learned a bit about them. Christina was warm, relaxed and very welcoming. She left me a detailed welcome guide and the communication throughout the sit was great. She and her lovely family live in a great and friendly neighborhood. They are very generous and left me treats upon my arrival and more treats the day I left. Thank you, Christina, for a lovely sit! Oh my!! This housesit was so very stellar. Cici was so unique...so delightful....so cute in all her playfulness. She loved being cuddled and cradled, just like a baby in my lap and arms; and, she loved her time to monitor all the squirrels in the yard and protect the deck! Most of all...she loved her momma's return!! That was amazing to witness! Rebecca's house is stunning - the views, the deck, the hottub, the furnishings, the floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the house, the beds. It is beautifully furnished and oh so comfortable. The multiple gardens and the many different sitting areas were such a pleasure. There was NO traffic noise; the ambient quiet was so nourishing; the sunrises and the sunsets often spectacular. The house is less than a mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway and the views are the same as if you were on the parkway. The parkway actually makes it quite convenient to get into town (at least during my visit when there was no snow!) And, the other road into town is quite fun to drive with all its winding twists and turns! I so hope I get to care for Cici and Rebecca's house again. Highly recommended.
I recently had the pleasure of housesitting for Nicola and her adorable cat, Boots, for 5 days. The experience was nothing short of fantastic. Nicola was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and she left clear and detailed instructions for everything I needed to know about the house and caring for Boots. Speaking of Boots, what a delightful pet! This cute feline was so friendly and affectionate, and we quickly became fast friends. We spent a lot of time playing and cuddling together, and I genuinely enjoyed every moment I spent with him. The house itself was bright, spacious, and located in a great area. It was comfortable and well-maintained, making my stay there a true pleasure. Overall, my time spent housesitting for Nicola and Boots was an absolute joy, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic pet-sitting experience.
