Roland and Shirley are incredibly welcoming and friendly, and their home is very comfortable. They kindly prepared a fantastic meal for us the night we arrived, and left on their trip the next day. There was a friendly open channel of communication throughout their trip, where they provided info about the village, and we kept them up to date with the pups' adventures. As well the instruction manual was very thorough. Their house is located in a beautiful little village with friendly neighbours and lovely walks along Roman roads and through pastures. But the best parts of the sit were Archie and Charlie. "The Boys" are sweet characters who live for their walks. We would love to house sit for Roland and Shirley again.
Ann, Steve, and Barney are a dream and so is their home. Ann and Steve chose us to sit for them for about 2 weeks and we couldn’t have been happier. Their home is lovely and they provide very clear sit directions, and they left it for us in great condition. Lucky for us we didn’t have to do much beyond caring for Barney, who is a very easy dog, because they have a gardener and house cleaner who are both lovely, sweet people. The home is even nicer than you see in the photos and nicely located in San Antonio. Not as busy as Ajijic but plenty close enough to where the action is at. Barney is a dream dog, very sweet and cuddly (especially with guys) and easy to care for. His routine is straightforward, his walks are fun and not too long, and as a miniature dachshund, you can bring him all over town which he and the townspeople love. The Ribera de Chapala area is lovely, once again it was even better than we expected. Don’t hesitate to apply for this sit, but only after we get first dibs ;-)
I had the absolute pleasure of taking care of Bast and Lefty, and I can't say enough about how amazing their company was. These two furry companions brought so much joy to my days. Bast's loving demeanor was heartwarming. From the moment I arrived, Bast's gentle and affectionate nature shone through. She was always eager to greet me with a wagging tail and a nuzzle, making me feel truly welcomed. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and happiness. Lefty, on the other hand, had a special way of making the nights cozy and memorable. His cuddling at night was an absolute delight. Lefty's affectionate snuggles provided warmth and a sense of connection that made bedtime something to look forward to. Together, Bast and Lefty created a harmonious and loving environment that made my pet-sitting experience truly remarkable. Their unique personalities and their ability to bring comfort and joy into my day made the time spent with them incredibly special.
