Susan and Paul were very kind and hospitable. Nico is very sweet and energetic. Home - rodents (later confirmed by owner via Whatsapp), no space to put anything - clothes, toiletries or snacks in fridge. 3 weeks into the sit I found rodent droppings and contacted Susan immediately once I found the rodent droppings through out the home. Susan explained that the rodents typically don't leave the basement. I offered to stay on and care for her home and pet but I wouldn't feel safe or comfortable spending the night sleeping with rats running around. She sought care else where. I contacted THS to ensure I took the proper exit procedures. They confirmed that I shouldn't have to live in those conditions and that I could leave once Susan found a replacement for me. I have the emails from THS confirming this. I appreciate Susan’s immediate response to the matter. I know this was not what either of us planned. I would have thought her response would have been slightly considerate of me instead of agitation. Other than the rodents and lack of space for my things, I enjoyed the sit. If I could have stayed I would have. It cost me $500 of unplanned housing cost. I cleaned, gathered my things and left the key as requested with her friend / neighbor. I have pictures to show this as well. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to review the Whatsapp msgs and pictures. I also have the WhatsApp chat where Susan did not make one complaint or request to make any modifications to the care of her home or pet. Pictures and texts of the state of her home and Nico were sent every 24 - 48 hrs.
We loved taking care of Osito and Trompa. Paz, Alistair and Thomas were amazing hosts and were so welcoming. Their property is beautiful and our stay was incredible. We can highly recommend this sit to anyone
Lorna and Frank are a very lovely and friendly couple, they made us a really warm welcome and we enjoyed the talks with them a lot. They have a really great life setting and their home is like paradise. They prepared us very good for our housesit, answered all our questions and were every time reachable for us and the communication with them was very easy. Their home is very modern, well equipped and the furnishing has a special charm. We spent so much great time at their really nice patio and their infinity pool. In the area they live it`s very quiet, you can watch a lot of animals and the view of the beautiful nature is just amazing. We can just recommend the house sit, we would love to come again!!! THANK YOU for everything!!! Hope we see us soon again ;-)
This was a wonderful stay in one of Britain's beautiful regions. After a long drive, Colin and Ailsa gave us a warm welcome, treated us to delicious food and took the time to explain all the details to us so that we could feel right at home. Everything was perfectly prepared for us and the time in Colin and Ailsa wonderful house went by far too quickly. Although we were told that Schrödinger was picky in his interactions with people, we found her to be playful and cuddly. She really is a special cat - we were amazed that at 18 she still showed the fitness to play catch with us in the living room! The chickens, which we affectionately called the Seven Sisters, were a friendly, pushy bunch that we also had a lot of fun with. We would love to come back!
sitting at Robin's house was wonderful. Her 2 dogs are SUPER sweet, fun and well behaved. They are very loving and affectionate and are easy to care for. They are good on their walks and always make coming home to them a wonderful event! lol....all wanting to kiss you and jump on you and get pets and scratches. Definitely a top notch opportunity to sit at.
It was phenomenal to pet sit for Clare and take care of the most adorable dog ever! Walnut will steal your heart - that's for sure! She is very affectionate, has amazing recall and watching her run is always stunning! I had a blast staying with her for a month and would do it again any time :) Clare's place is modern, comfortable and has everything you'll ever need and it's in a very good location. I met many amazing people walking Walnut - it's such a nice community! Clare is a great, friendly host, helpful with everything if you ever need it. I couldn't recommend this pet sit enough :)
