It was such a pleasure to sit for Jo. Not only is her house beautiful and comfortable, with a lovely extensive garden, but it's also surrounded by the most stunning countryside. And you'll get to see plenty of it walking Lola: she loves to go running in the forest and is a sweet-natured dog who gets on with everyone (& other dogs). Mico is a chilled cat - he's very chatty, likes to be made a fuss of, and is extremely tolerant of Lola's boisterous lack of attention to his personal space... quite entertaining to observe! Do sit for Jo and family - you won't be sorry.
Josh and Jessica left very clear instructions on caring for Angie and the house. If there were any questions they were answered promptly. The home was spotless and in a nice neighborhood. Angie is a very sweet cat and though cautious initially warmed up quickly. A bit of cat psychology necessary to put some thyroid medicine in her ears but all went well with that. Would sit again if asked.
Elsa welcomed us warmly with a delicious dinner when we arrived. We had the opportunity to discover the routines of the animals for three days before her departure. She showed us many paths for walks. We then had a lot of fun walking there with the three dogs twice a day. And we discovered many more beautiful trails, all along the coast with really beautiful, breathtaking views. We very much appreciated Elsa's warm and open attitude. We felt very comfortable in the house, it is designed with a lot of style and love. It was a pleasure to have been able to be there. The animals we have all taken to our hearts and miss them all very much. It was easy with them, each one has its own character and they are well behaved. It is a great pleasure to take care of such clever and joyful animals. Chi Chi is a bundle of energy and brings so much joy to everyday life. Tiga is very intelligent and also wise, she has the softest fur you can imagine. Sayang is a fine old lady who moves like a feather and so is her character. Cinta "talked" a lot with us and got her portion of cuddles, but she also needed her freedom. For the care of the animals everything was prepared, we just needed to implement what Elsa had shown us. They are well nourished all of them. Especially all four loved freshly cooked chicken. On our return we had a nice evening together where we also met Thomas, Elsa's husband. You can imagine how happy the animals were to be reunited again with the two of them? Because everything worked out so well, we immediately agreed that we would be willing to pet-sit (long term) again at any time. Would be a pleasure, thank you again for everything.
Brandi is just the best.. I believe that you cannot find a better house sit in NYC. She is so welcoming and nice, she made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and she recommended us many places in NYC to visit. And the cat - Dorian was sooo cute, he was a little bit shy at first, but later on he would come on the sofa and sit with us. He loved to play as well and chase the flies haha. Overall the whole stay was just like a dream, everything went perfect and we had an amazing time in Brandi’s house. The apartment was very pretty and we felt there like home. Highly recommended.
Ollie is the sweetest soul. He adored cuddles and loved playing games with his toys. Had many laughs with him! It was a joy to dog sit and share my adventures with Ollie. We had a great stay at Raluca and Loren's with Cora! It was below freezing and snowed a lot while we were there but their fabulous house was warm and comfortable and we were very happy to hang out there with Cora taking short walks to stretch our legs! Cora will steal your heart! Such an easy dog to care for...she just wants food, treats, walks and to make sure you are near by...such a sweetie and we really had a great time with her. A wonderful pet sit which we highly recommend.

Sarah has been taking my two dogs out for walks, generally at least 3 days per week, for about 18 months now, they love their walks with Sarah, on the odd occasion that I am home when she arrives I see how excited they are to see her! She is really conscientious, on wet days she makes sure to towel dry them when dropping them back home & always makes sure they have clean water after their walks. She is really flexible, often taking them out with very short notice! I highly recommend Sarah!!
Sarah is amazing! She is a real dog person, professional, knowledgeable, and adaptable. We would have anyone else looking after our dog, who she has looked after since he was a puppy. She has a background as a veterinary nurse, and cares for other animals on her farm. Our dog cannot wait to leave when she comes to collect him, and he loves staying with when we are away.
Sarah is amazing. She really does deliver a professional service. We have two ex-hunting rescue dogs who are lovely but both have their quirks - she looks after them brilliantly and they absolutely adore their time with her. She's walked them regularly for the past year and even brings some of her dogs over for "play dates" so that ours can have some doggie social fun in a safe setting at home. She's mega reliable, super professional and always gets back to you promptly. She has even helped us out when we've been stuck and has generally been a godsend. I am v picky with who looks after our two boys, but will happily recommend her 100%. If you are at all thinking of getting any help with looking after any of your pets then she is definitely the answer!
Have recently started sending our 20 month old pup to Sarah for extra socialisation and some additional training around livestock and we couldn't be happier. Sarah was recommended to us by a friend, has great general knowledge of dogs as well as being a trained vetinary nurse gives us absolute faith our dog is in good hands for the day. Can't recommend Estelle highly enough. She's looked after my 3 cats for a few years and they adore her. She always goes above and beyond. Latest escapade was one going missing and she helped with the search effort while I was away including trawling social media. She found him in a different village (he'd got in a car...) and was off to scan his microchip and rescue him. Get photos and messages to update what antics they've been up to while I'm away. Absolute find this lady.

Estelle is a life-saver in terms of pet sitting. Simple as that. Our kittens love her! We have entrusted them in her care both when they were tiny and a bit older, on both occassions for a week or longer. We came back to happy, healthy kittens, and even got some kitten photos for us when we were away. She is very professional and just a lovey person you can easily let into your house and entrust your pets with. We cannot recommend Estelle's pet care enough!
Estelle is truly exceptional. She has cared for our cat on many occasions for as long as two to three weeks and every time we return to find a very happy cat. I can't recommend Animals at Home, Oxford highly enough. I am extremely happy with the level of care my cats received while I was away; they were not just fed and watered, but Estelle also spent time playing with them and giving them attention. She also messaged me everyday with an update about them which really reassured me that they were doing well, meaning I could enjoy my holiday more. I have been using animals at Home in Oxford for some time and Estelle provides a fantastic level of customer service. Estelle recently looked after my “squad” of 4 cats, of which 3 are just 8 months old. So, potential for cat chaos .... She dealt calmly with my paranoia (first time leaving them!), and sent photos and updates. I returned to 4 happy cats, relaxed and well fed. Absolutely impossible to get hold of over the phone. Didn't reply even when I filled in a form on her website explaining that my dog needed transporting from Oxford to Witney for weekly hydrotherapy as she has degenerative myelopathy. Finally got a text from her after texting her saying she'd get back to me, but she never did. Disgraceful.

Hi my name is Ariel and I am a very demanding cat. Lee looks after me when my mum is away and she is really good! She plays with me and she walk me out (unless it’s raining and in that case she cuddles me!). My mum is really happy with the care provided and she would recommend her to anyone who would ever need a trustful person to look after their beloved animals!
Lee has been an incredible help since we adopted Basil, our retired greyhound. She has made it possible for a working couple to keep their dog happy and healthy; Basil clearly loves her. Lee has been flexible with regards to walking arrangements and has always proved reliable. She clearly cares for the animals she looks after and had proved really helpful in monitoring any health concerns we had about Basil. Pixie Lee Pet Services are amazing! We were a bit nervous to send off our pup at first but needn't be at all. We have been using Little Paws to do puppy visits and short walks for our new puppy. Carla is always punctual and I love getting a photo / video from every visit. She has been great at giving Raffie lots of different experiences - playing in the garden, walk to the park, training on the long lead, walking with one of her own dogs etc. I am more than happy to recommend Little Paws and will be using them for doggy day care and home boarding in the future.
We checked our dog Basil in for day care recently. We were nervous as it was his first time away from us but Carla reassured us. She did an amazing job with him, introduced him to her dogs and kept us updated via WhatsApp with messages and videos. Would definitely reccomend!

Nik has looked after our young sprocker for two week-long stays. We are so glad we found Nik. She takes the dogs on fantastic and varied walks, shares lots of gorgeous photos via her Instagram, and was very understanding of our dog's more teenaged moments. It gave us such peace of mind to know our boy was staying in a home from home, playing with lots of new friends, and having lots of human contact. We would never choose a kennel over this. We highly recommend!
Too many dog w few workers around. We sent our dog for a day boarding. It has a capacity of 50 for overnight and 40 day boarders. There were about 50ish dogs there that day. At the morning drop off, there were two ladies working. When we came for the pickup about 1700, only one lady there. It was really noisy w many dogs barking. My dog probably thought he’s visiting a dog psychiatry for that day, really skittish afterward.
Our little dog waits by the car to go to Niks in the morning, his favourite day of the week. He sleeps for Britain at home the following day- really useful to get office work done. Nik takes them on stellar long walks in all weathers and has an obvious soft spot for the dogs and their ways. Dog has boarded more than once to cover family matters arising. Nik is fantastic!
Took my dog at very short notice and after three day stay I’ve never seen him sleep so soundly. Nik has a lovely set up so I’m sure your dog will have no complaints and would rate the stay 5 stars themselves

I had an excellent overnight experience at Blu Collar Boarding with my two dogs (plus Blu the Dalmatian is a lovely companion!). Brilliant value, plus Nik took pictures on the dogs playing on their walks which was a lovely touch - a home from home for doggies!

Our dog visits Cumnor Dog Lodge weekly for daycare and also used the boarding service occasionally over the last few years. Always had a great experience, and dogs have plenty of space to run around and play. It is easy to reach out to the owner, who is always happy to provide updates and pictures of our furry friend. Marc is very experienced with animals. Our dog is always excited to visit Cumnor and returns home very happy and tired after.
It's nice seeing a few animals around the area, and it's generally nice to walk, no dogs needed. There's a spot with a great view around the place.
There aren't many people I'd gladly leave my dogs with all day, but Mark has a wonderful garden/compound where the pups can run free and have fun, along with day beds in the shade and an indoor area.
There are NO photos of the dogs overnight boarding rooms. A proper dog lover would not let a dog stay in a place that does not show what the dogs accommodation is like!!!!! I'm shocked at the stars given when there are no photos of the dogs accommodation which should matter to a real dog lover!!!!!!
My dog goes every day, Marc is very good with all his charges. My dog enjoys goes there and mixing with his friends.

Katie did a great job looking after our exotic fish this Christmas. We were keen to find someone experienced in animal care to look after our fish as they require specialist conditions to thrive. Katie ended up being the perfect person for the job. Our initial email correspondence was very reassuring. She answered our questions promptly and in both a friendly and professional manner. We also appreciated her coming to visit the fish before we went away. This gave us time to go through our requirements in detail. During our time away, Katie visited our fish daily and gave us regular updates on how well they were doing which we appreciated. Katie went above and beyond to care for our fish, and knowing someone so experienced was looking after them really lightened the worry. We can't recommend her enough and definitely want to use her services again.
We were looking for someone to take our boy out for a couple of walks a week during the work week and we are so glad we chose The Paw Smith gang! Katherine was more than helpful and introduced us at a meet to one of her lovely ladies Claire who takes our little man out for us and is now a firm favourite of Dobby! He absolutely loves going on his weekly adventures with Claire and has an amazing time with her and always comes back with a smile on his face! And she sends us wonderful snaps of him on her walks with him. We use The Paw Smith twice a week for Lionel and Bella and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Despite a rather wet few months the dogs are always left clean (which is a miracle since our lab will jump in any water she can find). Clare is our regular dog walker in Botley and I can’t recommend her more, our dogs aren’t the best behaved and she is so patient with them. P.S. It makes my day coming home to the little notes Clare leaves us about her adventures with them. Thankyou Katherine and Clare ☺️

Katherine has been looking after my dog, Red, regularly (twice a week) for over a year now. She's always treated Red like he's her own dog, which shows in all of Red's interactions with her as he absolutely loves her! My dog is my world, and I know Red is in good hands with her. She's 100% reliable, really friendly, and I couldn't recommend her more highly.
We came across The Paw Smith when looking for a bit of help on busy days walking our two Cardigan corgi pups. Meeting Katherine and Clare made me feel super comfortable right away. Both our dogs took to them straight away, and Clare was really receptive to hearing about each of the dog’s quirks and tendencies to make sure they were well looked after and enjoyed their walks. Six months on, we are absolutely thrilled with how Clare looks after our babies. They are always overjoyed to see her; they come back from every walk full of smiles and tail wags (and thankfully very tired)! Clare has also stayed overnight with them and done a couple daycare visits, and those have gone brilliantly as well. Recommend unreservedly!
I have met both Katherine and Sophie and they are both lovely. When I get a new dog walker for Archie and Dillon, I pay a lot of attention to how my dogs react to being walked by a particular person, how enthusiastic they are to go and walk again with that person and I can state, without any doubt, that my dogs absolutely love their walks with Pawsmith and this is a reflection on how they are treated during the walks. Katherine walks my two dogs 3 times a week for an hour. They both love her and have enjoyed their walks over the past few months. I have profound mobility issues and this is a life line that has enabled me to keep both dogs. I really like the way that Katherine walks the dogs separately without “a pack”. One of my dogs can be very anxious but I haven’t seen that at all with Katherine. Would totally recommend.
The Paw Smith came highly recommended by a friend, so imagine my delight when I heard they were expanding into Oxford! Katherine and Carly send me photos/short videos and leave a note which says how the walk has gone. My Labrador has been on 3 walks with The Paw Smith so far and it is really lovely to come home from work to a calm and well stimulated pup. Therefore, I too, can highly recommend this company … I only wish they could walk my boy every day!!

We had such a wonderful experience with Yvonne. She looked after our cockapoo Woody so brilliantly and took him on some amazing walks. What was most reassuring for us was that he was so excited to see Yvonne and the other dogs every time we dropped him off (or Yvonne kindly picked him up) and he was always suitably tired (but happy) when he came home again. Yvonne offers a very professional but friendly service and she went above and beyond to accommodate our schedules. When I found Yvonne a couple of years ago all my dog-care worries vanished! I was only prepared to leave Peanut with the best, and Yvonne and her family are just that. He eagerly waits by the door the days she takes him out, and the photos she sends us every time prove he’s loving every minute. My one warning is if you are thinking of using Yvonne you must be emotionally strong enough to deal with the fact your dog may love her a tiny bit more than he loves you!!

I can not recommend Happy Tails highly enough. Yvonne is extremely professional dog-manager and my Fox-terrier Paddy absolutely adored both day-care & longer term boarding with she & her family. The location of Happy Tails, on the outer Oxford border, is also idyllic for dogs. There is plenty of free space to run around & Yvonne takes the dogs on long walks & sends back photos showing the activities & adventures. I will be forever grateful for the love & care Happy Tails has given us.
Yvonne is amazing with all dogs. She was always very responsive and Poppy loved going there. She always came home exhausted which is always a good reference to how much she enjoyed herself. I always knew she was likely having a better time at Yvonnes than I was doing whatever I needed to do. Five star review! Thanks Yvonne.
Our dalmatian Dolly always has a wonderful time with Yvonne, who is an extremely caring and reliable dog sitter. Dolly can be anxious away from her family, but she always settles very quickly with Yvonne and absolutely loves her big garden and the wonderful long walks. Thoroughly recommended.
We couldn’t ask for a better dog Walker than Yvonne: she communicates brilliantly with us to set up the walks for the week and sends us amazing pictures so we get to see just how much fun our dog Boris has had. No matter the weather Yvonne can be relied on to give your dogs a good walk. Her help whilst we have been working from home and stuck on the phone all day has been a godsend. Couldn’t recommend her more highly.
Our beloved dog Olly had a great holiday with the hosts that Jeannie and Amanda matched for him, he came back so relaxed. We've already booked his next holiday. I would recommend this service to anyone and I'm so glad I found Barking Mad. Thank you Jeannie and Amanda, I know you went the extra mile when we forgot Olly's favourite raw hide chews and you picked up some on the way to his holiday, I noticed in the picture you sent me :-)
Jeannie is a lovely lady, she placed my beloved dogs with wonderful host's who looked after them as there own. I decided to become a host my self now and I love it in fact I fell in love with one particular dog and fingers crossed I will look after her again sometime this year. Barking Mad is everything you could want for your beloved dogs.
First time using Barking Mad and could not be happier with the service provided. Jeannie was extremely helpful, reassuring and punctual when collecting and dropping off our dog. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

This is a wonderful company run by a wonderful person. I can’t thank Alex enough for the flexibility she has given us with our dog Pep. Pep always stampedes her way into the house of the carer, Sue. Alex always goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes well. There’s loads of reviews on their website but I thought I should put one here. They’re a great outfit.
