We really enjoyed this house sit. The hosts communicated well. We came one night early for a thorough orientation. They walked us around town and treated us to supper. Then we found that they had completely vacated the master bedroom and bath for us! There is a lot to do in the Evergreen area. The downtown and a beautiful lake are in walking distance. Shopping necessities are a short drive away. And Denver isn't that far off.. We often watched elk and mule deer in the yard and around the neighborhood. The house is comfortable and has everything you need. The living area is spacious. There are lots of windows to let you enjoy the scenery and to let light in. The hosts left us plenty of storage room in the cabinets and fridge. The pets are affectionate and entertaining. Meegosh, the cat is a little shy at first but warmed up to us quickly. Waldo, the cat, immediately wants to be your new best friend. They both love their toys and can be pretty entertaining. Finn is very chill for a border collie. He loves to play catch and fetch in the big living area. He likes good long walks and good long naps. None of the pets want to miss out on anything. It's fun to watch them interact and vie for your attention. Josh, Alyssa, the pets, and Evergreen should be just a little less welcoming, or their sitters will start staying permanently.
Leo and Rachel are lovely people. We really enjoyed hanging out with Zoey and Lucy and taking them for walks around Berkeley. Would definitely sit for Leo again.
My five days looking after gorgeous and gentle Pippa were relaxing and peaceful in Jonathan’s comfortable and well-equipped home. Central Whitstable is literally a few steps away and there are many other interesting places on the doorstep if you want to pursue them. Provided a handful of Dreamies are dispensed daily Pippa will happily sit and snooze with you. I’d be happy to return.
Donna was wonderful to work with! She was very personable and I enjoyed getting to know her a little bit before she left. Her home was located in a very quiet area and a short drive to just about anything you'd need. Her kitties, Delilah and Sheba, were the cutest. Delilah and I were besties within a day or so, and Sheba warmed up to me along the way. They were the sweetest to tend to, loved to be brushed, and I enjoyed getting to see each of their personalities shine as the days went by. I would recommend this sit to others, as I would also certainly back if in the area again.
Kali and Koda were as sweet as can be! I’ve never met a kitty as social and friendly as Koda, truly a cutie and I loved showering him with affection. He enjoys playtime and was always near by. Kali moreso does her own thing, but will surprise you with affection when she’s comfortable with it! I loved my time in Denver (RiNo is such a cool location) and caring for Kali and Koda made it even better.
Lee and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jan and Jimmy’s lovely home with their adorable dogs Hank and Harry and their cat George. Their pets were some of the most loving fur babies we have ever sat for, which made it so easy to care for these boys. Jan and Jimmy were very welcoming, inviting us to stay over the night before their departure and graciously treated us to dinner. This was a great opportunity to get to know them, the ‘kids’ and their routines. Jan and Jimmy’s thorough details of pet care, habits and home maintenance simplified everything and we were able to settle in right away. There is plenty of historical sightseeing in the area and lots of biking and hiking trails nearby. There is also no shortage of local cuisine to experience.
